Stand up and speak out, Sen. McCain!
By: Josh Painter (Diary) | November 7th at 10:37 AM |
Dear Sen. McCain: Sir, you must be aware that the media has been on fire passing along vicious rumors from unattributed sources within your campaign attacking Sarah Palin. You are the only one who can put an end to this. You chose your campaign staff, and you chose your running mate. To paraphrase Harry Truman, the buck stops with you. If you are indeed the | Read More »

Though the Republican Party took a beating in the recent election, there are rays of hope for the future. Some of the brightest are the Young Guns of conservatism, a group of rising political stars who have the opportunity to pick up the pieces of the GOP and provide the leadership needed to return the party to its Reagan roots. Here are eleven of the | Read More »

Nor did this: TEHRAN (Reuters) – Iran warned U.S. forces in Iraq on Wednesday that it would respond to any violation of Iranian airspace, a message analysts said seemed directed at the new U.S. president-elect more than neighboring American troops. The Iranian army statement, reported by state radio, followed a cross-border raid last month by U.S. forces into Syria, a move that was condemned by | Read More »

Breaking: Report from the Alaska State Personnel Board
By: Josh Painter (Diary) | November 3rd at 08:08 PM |
Good news for Gov. Sarah Palin from the Alaska Personnel Board: “Summary of Public Findings and Recommendations”: There is no probable cause to believe that Governor Palin violated the Alaska Executive Ethics Act by making the decision to dismiss Department of Public Safety Commissioner Monegan and offering him instead the position of Director of the Alaska Beverage Control Board. Closing the case: four more reasons McCain should win
By: Josh Painter (Diary) | November 3rd at 03:38 PM |
In two previous postings, here and here, I have discussed six reasons why Sen. John McCain should emerge victorious in tomorrow’s race for the White House. To recap, they are media bias, oversampling of Democrats by most polling organizations, Obama campaign smugness, his long list of criminal and radical associates, the center-right majority of America’s voters and the uncounted millions of PUMAs hiding under cover, | Read More »

By: Josh Painter (Diary) | November 1st at 03:48 PM |
In a recent posting , I went on the record to say that John McCain should win the presidential election Tuesday, and I listed five reasons which lead me to this conclusion. They are media bias, pollster oversampling of Democrats, Obama campaign hubris, the Democrat candidate’s many suspect associations and the fact that the American electorate has a center-right majority. Journalism is still dead

A while back, I wrote Journalism’s obituary. Now one of my favorite authors, Victor Davis Hanson, has penned this excellent piece on its demise. Unlike my meager effort, VDH’s essay is eloquent and comprehensive. Highly recommended. JP

Drag on the ticket in PA
By: Josh Painter (Diary) | October 31st at 12:16 PM |
The latest meme from the in-the-tank-for-Obama MSM is that Gov. Sarah Palin, as the GOP vice presidential nominee, is a “drag” on her party’s ticket. They even have numbers from their own polls to back it up, thanks to a generous oversampling of Democrats to fudge the results.
The drag on the ticket in PA
By: Josh Painter (Diary) | October 31st at 10:06 AM |
Promoted from RedHot. – Moe Lane The drive-by Obamunist media and pollsters are trying to convince us that Sarah Palin is a “drag” on John McCain’s presidential ticket. Meanwhile local televeision station WNEP, located in Joe Biden’s hometown of Scranton, PA, reports on the visits of the two vice presidential candidates to nearby Williamsport on the same day (emphasis mine): There is excitement in the | Read More »

October 2: In the vice presidential debate, when asked if he would support gay marriage, Joe Biden answers, “No. Barack Obama nor I support redefining from a civil side what constitutes marriage.” October 20: Biden is a guest on the Ellen Degeneres Show, and says that if he lived in California, he would vote against Proposition 8, a ballot initiative which would ban gay marriage. | Read More »
Why McCain should win Tuesday
By: Josh Painter (Diary) | October 31st at 09:40 AM |
I believe John McCain will pull off an upset victory in the general election next Tuesday, just as he revived what all the “experts” had said was a dead campaign and went on to win the primaries which earned him his party’s nomination. There are five reasons for my optimism for the McCain-Palin ticket’s chances.
Rendell: People at McCain rallies don’t have any wealth
By: Josh Painter (Diary) | October 29th at 11:37 AM |
At about 3:05 in this YouTube video excerpt from the Rachel Maddow show on MSDNC, Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell lets it slip: I look at these McCain rallies in Pennsylvania, and he says ‘Barack Obama’s going to take your wealth.’ But they don’t have any wealth. Right, Guv! It’s the wealthy who support Obama. The average Joe the plumber, Mike the mechanic, and Florence the | Read More »

Chill, Baby, Chill
By: Josh Painter (Diary) | October 28th at 04:04 PM |
The familiar refrain of “Drill, baby, drill” has become a rallying cheer at all John McCain and Sarah Palin campaign events. It puts an exclamation mark on the GOP ticket’s all-of-the-above energy policy. That policy calls for tapping all of America’s bountiful energy resources, including renewables and other alternatives. When McCain and Palin make appearances in the coal belt of the eastern states, the mantra | Read More »

By: Josh Painter (Diary) | October 24th at 03:28 PM |
About that $150,000 that the RNC spent for campaign appearances sake on Clan Palin… The liberals and their captive media outlets, MSDNC in particular, have been howling like lonesome coyotes over it.
