By: Josh Painter (Diary) | July 11th at 05:35 PM |
Well, that didn’t take long. Those of us who expected the Democrats, with control over three DC houses — House, Senate and White House — to blow it didn’t expect it happen so quickly. But it seems that the donkey party, by misinterpreting their 2008 election victory as a mandate (it wasn’t) and by overreaching on the stimulus, abortion, cap and trade, health care reform | Read More »

Does Kerry moonlight as a writer for Letterman?
By: Josh Painter (Diary) | June 26th at 12:16 AM |
One would think Sen. John Kerry (D-Cambodia) would have realized by now that his idea of humor doesn’t go over very well. It must be because he’s a nasty person, and his pathetic attempts at being funny just turn out to be… well, nasty.
Obama Equivocates On Health Insurance
By: Josh Painter (Diary) | June 19th at 04:29 PM |
President Barack Obama made another promise this week that you can take to the bank. Well, you can take it there, but forget about cashing it. Like so many of Obama promises, it’s just another lie. Speaking to the American Medical Association Monday, the president insisted that his health care plan will let Americans keep the coverage they have: “No matter how we reform health | Read More »

The Great Huntsman Hoax
By: Josh Painter (Diary) | May 18th at 08:18 PM |
It seems like the announcement came out of nowhere this weekend: Governor Jon M. Huntsman Jr. will resign and accept an appointment as ambassador to China, ABC 4 has confirmed. The official announcement came during a press conference held by President Obama Saturday morning at the White House in the Diplomatic Room. President Obama asked the people of Utah to forgive him for taking their | Read More »

By: Josh Painter (Diary) | May 6th at 12:41 PM |
The Anchorage Daily News pretends to be confused about Gov. Sarah Palin’s travel plans. It asks whether the governor will going to New York City and Washington, D.C., this weekend: The Chicago Tribune’s political blog and others are reporting as fact that the governor is going to be Fox News’ guest at the White House Correspondents Dinner in Washington, D.C., on Saturday. But it’s not | Read More »
Dems just say ‘No’ to Obama on Gitmo funds
By: Josh Painter (Diary) | May 4th at 07:12 PM |
The leadership of the House of Representatives turned down a request from the Obama Administration for funding to begin closing the U.S. detention facility in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The reason the Democrats refused to give the president what he wanted this time was not a lack of votes, as the members of his party in the House could have easily funded his request whether Republicans | Read More »
More fallout from Specter’s dirty bomb
By: Josh Painter (Diary) | April 30th at 10:52 AM |
Well, that didn’t take long. Less than 24 hours after Arlen Specter dropped his dirty bomb of a party switch, the asses have already begun their loud braying. Sen. Specter’s return to his long-abandoned Democrat Party is probably not proving to be the homecoming he had hoped for. Last night we reported that Specter may have to face two challengers. Now it has been revealed | Read More »

Completely drowned out by all the hoopla over news of Arlen Specter’s return to the Democrat Party he abandoned so many years ago, was this little item from top pollster Scott Rasmussen: For just the second time in more than five years of daily or weekly tracking, Republicans now lead Democrats in the latest edition of the Generic Congressional Ballot. Phoned-in Palin attack FAIL
By: Josh Painter (Diary) | April 20th at 12:38 PM |
Many years ago, when I was but a teenaged college student, my political science professor taught me a valuable lesson. He returned a paper I had written with a grade of 37 on it and the following scribbled in the margin in angry red ink: “Your paper is all supposition. Where is your supporting evidence?“ I learned from the experience. You can’t just phone it | Read More »
For Dems, Sarah Palin is their next Rush Limbaugh
By: Josh Painter (Diary) | March 30th at 05:22 PM |
We learned from Greg Sargent’s blog The Plum Line that Democrat strategists have plans to increasingly elevate Gov. Sarah Palin as a leader in much the same way they have done with Rush Limbaugh in recent weeks. Sargeant reveals that James Carville, who mapped out the Limbaugh strategy, told him that Dems will be increasingly elevating Palin, because she’s “an identifiable person who has a | Read More »

By: Josh Painter (Diary) | February 4th at 02:02 PM |
Public support for the stimulus plan being kicked around in Congress continues to erode. Results from a new Rasmussen Reports survey released today shows that only 37% of those polled now favor the Democrat’s idea of stimulus, while 43% oppose it and 20% cannot make up their minds. Just two weeks ago, 45% supported the plan. Last week, 42% favored it. Even though sixty-four percent (64%) of Democrats still | Read More »
The Democrats’ Patriotism Deficit
By: Josh Painter (Diary) | February 2nd at 09:35 AM |
We know for a fact that it is a patriotic act for Americans to pay taxes, especially if one is a rich American. The Vice President of the United States said so when he was campaigning for the office. Not only did Joe Biden make such a remark, but he would later angrily defend his statement after it caused something of a stir, as Biden’s remarks often do. The | Read More »

Sam Fox has a Long Island auto dealership which sells Cadillacs, Saabs and Hummers. Let me rephrase that – those are the brands his dealership is authorized to sell. He’s not selling many vehicles these days. You don’t have to try to imagine his frustration because he has let it be known. Mr. Fox has written an op-ed which appears in today’s edition of the | Read More »
The Fallout Thickens…
By: Josh Painter (Diary) | December 12th at 03:01 AM |
From Pejman Yousefzadeh we learn that in the heat of the Blagogate scandal, President-elect Barack Obama’s chief of staff Rahm Emmanuel was asked by reporters Thursday if he was the Obama advisor named in the criminal complaint against Gov. Rod Blagojevich (D-IL):
Obama lied? You decide.
By: Josh Painter (Diary) | December 10th at 01:35 PM |
What did the president-elect know, and when did he stop knowing it? Yesterday, the Lightworker attempted to distance himself from his good buddy Gov. Rod Blagojevich (D-IL) in familiar Obama fashion – by tossing the accused crook under the bus: “Obviously like the rest of the people of Illinois I am saddened and sobered by the news that came out of the US attorney’s office | Read More »

Rendell: People at McCain rallies don’t have any wealth
By: Josh Painter (Diary) | October 29th at 11:37 AM |
At about 3:05 in this YouTube video excerpt from the Rachel Maddow show on MSDNC, Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell lets it slip: I look at these McCain rallies in Pennsylvania, and he says ‘Barack Obama’s going to take your wealth.’ But they don’t have any wealth. Right, Guv! It’s the wealthy who support Obama. The average Joe the plumber, Mike the mechanic, and Florence the | Read More »
