There they go again

The NY Daily News is promoting the August edition of Vanity Fair, in which a vicious hit piece full of lies, distortions and innuendo savagely attacks everything about Sarah Palin, not the least of which is her character. The author is the liberal magazine’s national editor Todd Purdum. If you don’t know where he’s coming from, consider that Purdum formerly hacked for the New York Times, | Read More »
No surprise: Anti-Palin AP snubs Alaska’s Governor
By: Josh Painter (Diary) | June 6th at 05:47 PM |
In a story headlined “Alaskans concerned about North Korea’s missiles” the Associated Press continues in its Anti-Palin tradition. Mary Pemberton, who wrote the story, quoted several of Alaska’s citizens as well as “the state’s political leaders.” Among the latter, Pemberton included statements from Rep. Don Young and Sen. Mark Begich. Conspicuously absent from the article was any mention of Gov. Sarah Palin, who has been | Read More »
GE shareholders complain about leftist MSNBC

Stockholder meetings are rarely dramatic events, but things got heated at Wednesday’s GE meeting of shareholders. GE CEO Jeffery Immelt and NBC Universal CEO Jeff Zucker had to field about ten questions from from shareholders unhappy with the leftward bias of the company’s cable outlet MSNBC and a charge that it’s business channel CNBC is being pushed in the same direction: First up was a | Read More »
A CNN reporter’s selective outrage
By: Josh Painter (Diary) | April 16th at 03:43 PM |
My RedState.com colleague Jeff Emanuel provided a prime example of just how deep the drive-by media is immersed in the tank for Obama, as CNN’s Susan Roesgen gets in the face of an American citizen exercising his Constitutional rights of free speech and free assembly yesterday. HotAirPundit has a fine example of Ms. Roesgen’s other side. She was all sweetness and light just three months | Read More »
Lies, d*mn lies and the drive-by media
By: Josh Painter (Diary) | January 6th at 05:15 PM |
The anti-Palin newspaper Anchorage Daily News, part of the liberal McClatchy chain of newspapers, is always eager to rush into print with any story which has the potential to be embarrassing to Governor Sarah Palin. D*mn the truth, full speed ahead! Now it has been caught being party to yet another lie, and a number of other news outlets are ADN’s partners in crime. All | Read More »
CNN quietly scrubs Palin’s name from article
By: Josh Painter (Diary) | January 5th at 05:51 PM |
CNN must have felt the love. The cable news network had included Sarah Palin with the likes of Rod Blagojevich, Elliot Spitzer, John Edwards, Ted Stevens and others in a year-end political review titled “Politicians who fell from grace in 2008.” As frequent RedState contributor Warner Todd Huston had pointed out at NewsBusters.com, every person named in the article, with the exception of Sarah Palin: “have either | Read More »
Persons of the Year

As John McCain’s running mate in the election of 2008, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin was the GOP sacrificial lamb. McCain never really had a chance of winning the White House. Bamboozeled by Barack Obama into accepting public money for his campaign, the Arizona senator was outspent seven to one by the Democrat, who had agreed to also take public funding, but in the first of | Read More »
George Santayana, Yogi Berra and the Election

Remember when it appeared that Sen. John Kerry might make George W. Bush a one-term president just like his father? Can’t remember that? Let’s do a memory refresh from October 16, 2004. Leftblogger Jerome Armstrong of mydd.com looked deep into a Washington Post poll and found encouragement in the internals. The WaPo survey reported that Kerry “continued to claim a large lead in key battleground | Read More »
Palin v. Biden: Who’s the real ticket-killer?
By: Josh Painter (Diary) | September 26th at 12:44 PM |
“Mainstream media” (MSM) never was an accurate representation of what this country’s major print and broadcast news sources are and what they do. “Mainstream” is defined, when used as an adjective, as “representing the prevailing attitudes, values and practices of a society or group.” The media, as a group, certainly has a set of prevailing attitudes, values and practices, but they are not those of | Read More »
