I know it must be hard to say to most other gay and lesbians that you are more conservative than liberal.

But I still don’t like identity politics. The conservative/libertarian tradition should be to avoid all such identity politics and treat everyone the same.

At any rate, the gay lobby for the democratic party can only deliver money and celebrity endorsements, they are way too small of a voting block to make much difference in the polls. That is why the Democrats treat them like dirt.

Gays are actually a fairly well to do demographic group, with more disposable income than most and a higher education level than average. A strong national defense is also in their best interest, we’re arguing gay marriage here, our enemies argue gay decapitation. Just like the Jews, they vote against their own best interests due to emotional identification.

Obama and the Democratic Party need gay donors more than they need gay voters.

That’s been the Democrat plan all along. It’s what Carter did and it’s the only reason the DNC survived the Reagan era.

Clinton did it again, with illegal assistance, and it helped him win re-election.

More dependents, more faithful voters.

He figures he has a lock on the minority vote, thanks in large part to ACORN, so why even deal with the LGBT?

Like the overall black vote, the abnormal sexual identify ‘victims’ have little choice but vote democratic.
All discussion to the contrary is a waste of time, and resources better suited to use on people who actually have more then their ‘victim’ status as an agenda.

Frankly, nothing we do to try to cultivate any “group” that thinks of itself as a group is going to work for a non-Democrat candidate. The Donkeys have the monopoly on groups and victims. So, I’m in the who cares school too.

Does anyone really believe that Gays will not remain a solid voting block for the Dems? I hope no one believes they will suddenly switch their support to the GOP out of disappointment with Obama. Obama can snub Gays as he snubbed Muslims during the election because they have nowhere else to go.

There have been a number of leaders on the right (not just Dick Cheney) that have supported LGBT equality. The idea that the left supports gay rights is a red herring only pulled out at election time. It was still disappointing that Michael Steele refused our last LCR invitation. But there is always next time.

himself to really believe that he “needs” anyone or one political group. He actually believes that “they” have little choice but to support his wondrous self. He first displayed this when he assured early supporters that he could deliver far more black voters than the whites he would lose.

He reveals this attitude often, such as when he acknowledged that all the press voted for him, yet he has continuously insulted the press corps. He insults the military, he insults all those “sweetie” women and he insults our traditional allies.

Despite his delusions to the contrary, people do tire of it. He has virtually no chance of re-election in 2012.
