Newt Exposes His Biggest Flaw on Hannity Tonight

Hannity had a segment on his show tonight with Newt Gingrich whereby they discussed the NAACP allegations that the Tea Party is racist and also the newly discovered Breibart video of admitted racist Shirley Sherrod (formerly) of the USDA.

Newt’s suggestion for moving past all the talk of racism was for the local Tea Party members to reach out to local chapters of the NAACP in order to discuss things that matter to both groups such as jobs and the economy. This, he said, would give the black community a chance to see for themselves that they really have much more in common with the Tea Party than they realize.

Even when Sean made the astute argument that the NAACP claims were based on falsehoods, such as the “N-word” incident that never happened on Capitol Hill, and the fact there is simply is no evidence of racism in the Tea Party, Newt still insisted that, at the local level, it would be helpful for the Tea Party to reach out to the NAACP.

This is the flaw of Newt Gingrinch.

He would reach out to members of Congress who vehemently oppose our principles, who will lie, cheat, steal, and say anything to get their way.

Newt does not understand that the Progressives have no desire, nor will they ever, compromise in their thirst for power, their demand for a European Social Democracy, or their disgust for our Constitution.

Is there any instance, since taking the House in 2006 and the White House in 2008, when the Democrats/Progressives have EVER reached out to the Republican Party for an honest discussion or debate?

The answer is No. NEVER.

Whomever our next President is should consider returning the favor. But over and over again, Newt has proven that he would still reach across the aisle. And that is why I would NEVER vote for Newt Gingrich for President.

going back to when I first saw him on CSPAN with his Renewing American Civilization course.

His years inside of the Beltway have ruined his inner rebel. ANYONE who spends much time in the District of Corruption, becomes, well, corrupt. There really is no exception I can think of.

Pity really. Newt has/had some really outstanding ideas.

I can never forget that no matter how brilliant he is. I honestly believe he was angling for a job in her Cabinet, thinking she was going to be the Dem nominee.

Julian Bond. The NAACP needs to reach out to tea partiers and ask the tea drinkers to teach THEM right from wrong.

The bloom was off that rose for me before Bush 2.0 was elected.

Newt used conservative principles to change the way Congress worked .. but once he was in charge, he seemed to be seduced away from his stated goal of reducing the scope of government – ironically, seduced by the pleasure of running the big machine.

At this point, Newt needs to retire and teach history, but his apparent addiction to TV cameras makes it hard…

I understand they have airtime to fill on cable shows, but they should stop inviting this guy on. The reason there is a Tea Party is because people like him are failures. He’s had the world at his feet for years, a microphone around every corner. If anyone was in a position to help, he was, and he chose not to. He remains scornful of the citizens he ridiculously presumed to advise on television tonight. He fits very well into the mold of the political class who, from what I read, are about to be thrown out.

I still can’t get that image of Newt sitting on the couch with Pelosi out of my head.

Hannity’s alright, but I’m getting pretty sick of him constantly having Newt on both radio and tv. Makes me wonder if Sean will actually endorse Newt??

And Hannity always has the same three fat clowns on his show- Karl Rove, Dick Morris and Newt Gingrich.

I am skeptical that Gingrich would run in 2012. I think that he is just trying to get attention to increase his book sales. His dishonesty makes Clinton look like an alter boy. I also would not support him in the primary if he ran.
