Great Palin Talking Points

From an ardent Mitt Supporter

I’ve been on this fellow’s email list for a while. I like his style and he has listed some clear answers to Obama/Biden talking points.

It’s pretty condescending to conclude that Sarah Palin is any less qualified than Barack Obama. I look forward to this debate.

Here’s a sample from My Man Mitt:

Let’s review the minefield that Team Obama/Biden must navigate with Palin on board.
Palin has more executive experience than Obama himself (having run a company, a PTO, a town and then Alaska).
WARNING: Bring up the experience issue at your own peril.
SAMPLE: “When Senator Obama started his first run for local office I was already a two-term mayor. If you simply count the years of experience, I win, frankly.”

Brass Knuckles

That's what our POTUS and VEEP candidates will need.

Barack Obama spits out what sounds like a threat by saying “they don’t know who they’re dealing with”.

I hope we do know who we’re dealing with. From Time, The Page:

Jim Messina, Obama campaign’s chief of staff, tells Iowa Democrats: “I’m not the public speaker in the group, so we’ll try this.”
Of Arizona, says: “If Senator McCain continues to be the schmuck he’s being, we’re going to play there, you know, and go tell some truth.”
Also says the campaign has 2,504 people on staff, including four PhD statisticians, and says the campaign does not focus on national polls, but rather polls in 18 battleground states.

There’s something mob-ish about all of this. When an ABC reporter is roughed up trying to cover a story about big donors meeting with big senators, that’s news. To us, anyway.

We’re going to need brass knuckles, and two tough, seasoned candidates. The new players on the other side don’t play nice. At all.

Poetic.. Brolin arrested in bar brawl while in Louisiana filming Bush bash

Alcoholic bum arrested during filming of "alcoholic bum" movie

Couldn’t happen to a nicer group of people. Dear MSM, this deserves front page above the fold, as in turnabout.

This was my amusement for the week. Actors and crew arrested during filming of Stone’s W movie, fair and balanced, buried in a one inch comment in my major Metro newspaper.

Anheuser-Busch, Chrysler Tower, Citibank…

A shiver...down my spine

What’s up with Warren Buffett? Why was he so insistent on the sale of Anheuser-Busch to a Belgian Company, a company with a reputation for ruthless cost-cutting and downsizing its acquisitions.

I’m a capitalist, with a heart. Compassionate capitalism I call it. The activities and behaviors of some of this country’s most noted billionnaires are getting under my skin. Am I the only one sick of their mixing political agendas with their billions?

Something’s rotten, and it’s not in Denmark. Peter Lewis, George Soros, Warren Buffett. Are they buying their progressive global agenda at our expense? I think so. They are all for Obama, and I opine that they are engaging in some activities unhealthy for our particular brand of democracy and capitalism.
