Barack Obama, In Way Over His Head And It Shows

During the 2008 Presidential campaign there were considerable questions concerning the lack of experience of Barack Obama. After all he was only three years into his only term as a United States Senator and had spent most of that time campaigning for the Presidency. His State legislature career was also rather short and very uneventful.

Experience was not his forte’ and many tried to warn the American people about this potential problem, but the press all but worshipped him and a large number of voters backed him only because he looked and sounded good never listening to what he said nor questioning whether inexperience could handle the largest and toughest job in the world.

Now he holds that job and the inexperience that was brushed over during the campaign is a painful reality that shows more with each passing day. He was praised for a, “smooth,” transition. When in reality was smooth more because of the out going Bush administration than the incoming Obama administration. Problems began showing their face throughout the transition, mistake being made by Obama and his staffers but the press was so caught up in their messiah worship that they, as in the campaign, brushed over the problems.

Now even the press is starting to catch on that the inexperience that was brushed over before is becoming a major problem in the administrative abilities of Barack Obama and a dangerous problem now that he is President of the United States where every blunder has major ramifications for this Nation and the world.

His Cabinet picks which were touted as the best ever during the transition are showing the lack of experience in selecting nominees as tax problems, ethical problems and major conflicts of interest problems have plagued nearly every nomination. The only reason that most have been confirmed, including Hillary Clinton is that Democrats have an almost unstoppable majority in the Senate.

His first days in office were riddled with Executive Orders like a kid in a candy shop setting an ethical bar that anyone with even a slight amount of experience would have known would cause problems because of who Obama hired for his administration. Obviously he never looked at the back ground nor the status of any of his appointees or his transparency and ethical orders made on that first day would never have been issued proving to be an embarrassment and a lie to the American people.

His orders to close Gitmo and reverse the ban on government funded abortions over seas have little or no backing by the American people and any seasoned politician will tell you that making unpopular moves even before the dust settles is a bad start especially when it angers most Americans and threatens, by Obama’s own admission in an NBC interview, the Nations security as closing Gitmo does.

The , “stimulus,” package proposed, defended and fought for by Obama is proving that not only is his inexperience causing a back lash within the Congress but with each passing day as more is revealed about this huge spending package, the American people are growing angrier and troubled by an administration that is blind to the reality of the problem and possible solutions.

Obama hits the airways with the same rhetoric every day about how necessary this package is and his press Secretary speaking on his behalf looks like a buffoon who stumbles over every question and never gives any resemblance of a straight answer.

Obama daily calls different people to The White House to ask their opinion and in the process it becomes more and more obvious he does not know what he is doing nor how to get out of the hole he has quickly dug for his Presidency.

Our enemies are seeing this inexperience and translating it into weakness. A weakness that they will soon begin taking advantage of in ways that may very well be devastating to the country and her citizens. Obama is so clouded and lost in trying to gain any control over the stimulus debacle that he cannot respond and frankly does not seem to know what is happening outside of the confines of The White House both here and abroad.

After whining from day one about the, “failures,” of the Bush administration concerning Hurricane Katrina, Obama faces a disaster in Kentucky and Arkansas that has claimed dozens of lives. A disaster that he seems completely oblivious to. No disaster declaration, no FEMA and not even an acknowledgment from the President that Americans are dying every day from exposure to extreme icing and cold.

Barack Obama is in way over his head and the dangerous fact that accompanies this problem is that he holds the largest and toughest job in the world which demands sound judgement, hard decisions, total focus and a strength of character that few possess. The job has no time for inexperience, on the job training or waiting for someone to step in and help because the President is lost !

The Presidency demands someone who can and will step up when it counts and has a constant grasp of every situation at home and abroad. A demand that Barack Obama thus far has failed to meet and if his first two weeks are any indication may NEVER be able to meet before the job that currently overwhelms him becomes out of control and a danger to the Nation and the people.

I was really hoping that I was wrong, and that for the sake of the future of this great country, Obama would live up to the hype. But a house of cards is, well, a house of cards, and so it has begun to fall. It will be interesting to see how long the media stays loyal - I can imaging Chris tingly leg Matthews will defend him til the end, but I don’t know…And unfortunately, there is still a lot of damage the one can do - we still have FOCA, EFCA, the totally depressing “stimulus” bill. The guy has ZERO experience at ANYTHING - no executive experience (in government, much less in private sector) - how on earth can he understand Wall Street or Main Street or much of anything? Isn’t it about time for someone (besides the conservatives, who have been saying it all along) to stand up and say “Mommy, the emperor isn’t wearing any clothes”?

Its mostly Obama's liberalism, not lack of experience, that is the source of his problems-nt

Folks, none of this matters to the liberal elite/ intelligensia------

they wanted to win at any cost and BHO was more appealing than Hilary.
They did not, do not and will not care what he does to this country — the POWER is now in their corner, that is the only issue.
They live in the ” bubble” and are not touched by everyday concerns like jobs, small business, mortgage crisis —- because ladies and gentleman—–this does not touch their lives.
They give lip service to the common folk —— with disdain and arrogance brimming. Caring neither about us and our lowbrow problems, they will never admit their part in the undoing of this country.

Admitting your sins without any kind of repentance is worthless.

It seems to me that somebody should be asking Obama

Flagstaff Saturday, February 7th at 2:55PM EST (link)

why his immense intelligence didn’t indicate to him that he should pull Daschle’s nomination when the news about his non-payment of $200,000 in taxes came out. Why did he stick with an obvious tax cheat?

Why did he have to wait for Daschle to recognize an untenable situation and remove himself?

There are two answers. First, that would have meant to admit a mistake without being forced to.

Second, Obama doesn’t have the experience to inform him that it was a true political problem. He thought it would be swept under the rug as things like this were during the campaign, as the Geithner tax problems and Eric Holder’s history were.

Maybe there is a third reason, too. They clearly had no fallback position. Obama doesn’t know enough qualified people to have a reservoir of backup talent to pick from.

Don’t worry, when Barry is really pressured and finally reaches out for his most trusted and highly-placed advisor, he’ll have to look no further than his number 2… no, not *that* number 2: that’s disgusting… I mean his Vice President, Joe “shiny teeth” Biden.

And what’s more… if Barry has a nervous breakdown and is rendered unable to perform as president, we can all rest comfortably knowing that the executive branch will be in the safe, experienced, sober-minded, able hands of Joe “shiny teeth” Biden…

I just can’t wait for President Biden’s first press conference when he mentions “hey, at least I haven’t killed anyone like that Vlad Putin guy… and I’m far more interesting than that Gordon Brown… and who can really understand anything that Australian Prime Minister says, anyhow? I mean seriously, do they even speak English “down under” — by the way, isn’t “Down Under” the subtitle of Bill Clinton’s autobiography? But really, I mean, that Chinese premiere… great guy. I remember seeing ten guys who look just like him at the laundry back in Wilmington where I get my shirts pressed… Great folks, those Chinese laundrymen… can’t believe they let them run a country though… and everyone say hi to…”

Obama and his Administration=Governmentium

Scope Friday, February 6th at 12:22PM EST (link)

I got this in an email from a friend and thought you all would enjoy it.

————————————
Lawrence Livermore Laboratories has discovered the heaviest element yet known to science.

The new element, Governmentium (Gv), has one neutron, 25 assistant neutrons, 88 deputy neutrons, and 198 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 312.

These 312 particles are held together by forces called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like particles called peons.

Since Governmentium has no electrons, it is inert; however, it can be detected, because it impedes every reaction with which it comes into contact. A tiny amount of Governmentium can cause a reaction that would normally take less than a second, to take from four days to four years to complete.

Governmentium has a normal half-life of 2- 6 years; It does not decay, but instead undergoes a reorganization in which a portion of the assistant neutrons and deputy neutrons exchange places.

In fact, Governmentium’s mass will actually increase over time, since each reorganization will cause more morons to become neutrons, forming isodopes.

This characteristic of moron promotion leads some scientists to believe that Governmentium is formed whenever morons reach a critical concentration. This hypothetical quantity is referred to as critical morass.

When catalysed with money, Governmentium becomes Administratium, an element that radiates just as much energy as Governmentium since it has half as many peons but twice as many morons.

Having isolated the isodopes

Scope Friday, February 6th at 12:37PM EST (link)

They are now obviously in charge of the administrations foreign policy agenda.

http://newsmax.com/international/as_kyrgyzstan_us_base/2009/02/06/179000.html

I’m sure many are aware of the ongoing situation in Kyrgyzstan. They have decided that the US Manas air transport base will be closed. Russia has given them $2 billion in aid and credit, which was much more than the US has been willing to pay them. Russia is playing it’s hand in order to stop the Missile Shield Plan in addition to a demand that NATO not be expanded. I’d say they are giving the US some strong messages. How will Obama be able to send in the additional 30,000 troops this summer if they cannot be supplied.

Will someone explain to me why (Clinton?) would request permission from Russia, to use Russian land to transport military supplies, when Russia is the one that has been the factor in the base closing, as well as the violent disruptions in the current supply lines on the Pakistan/Afghanistan boarder?

Don’t these people understand that Russia makes the people they don’t like dissapear?

He went on TV and said “if we don’t get the stimulas the world will be destroyed”

Then he left all the details to Pelosi and Reid. Don’t you think he would want to be a LITTLE more involved given the stakes.

If you look at his career he has moved to the next “thing” never getting anything done in the mean time. Now he is a point where the buck stops with him and he has no idea what to do.

While it is obviously too late to complain BUT HOW DID THIS MAN GET ELECTED.

I hope he fails and comes close to wrecking everything maybe that is the lesson we need to STOP putting symbolism over substance.

Say one thing and do another.

andyhokanson Sunday, February 8th at 4:22PM EST (link)

Obama has perhaps run into his first major “say one thing, do something else” predicament. While he rallies his left-wing supporters with campaign speeches, he by definition angers or scares, and thus freezes in place nearly every financial decision maker in the country.

Home Owners [There are tens of millions] I am hesitant to depend on the economy supporting a renter for my single family dwelling since I can’t sell it. So I don’t move on with a new house purchase. I am close to choosing to default on my mortgage — and when all appears hopeless, I will (immediately after signing a long-term rental agreement).

Small businesses [There are millions] If I am a contractor or small business owner, I am certainly not going to be hiring anyone or buying new equipment. And I won’t start doing anything until I am sure that Obama is not going to make matters in my town worse.

Farmers [There are tens of thousands] I fear that the Obama administration might engage in protectionism and other activities to try and look good to the left, e.g. unions etc. I am surely not going to make any large purchases since I can’t get or don’t want credit.

Large Companies [There are thousands] If I ran a large corporation, I would be all about getting positioned for the coming high inflation, higher taxes, and an administration hostile to businesses.

Now for the financial non-decision makers:

No income, unemployable [There are tens of millions] I am thrilled with Obama and still think everything will soon be wonderful. I don’t make anything and certainly don’t hire anybody.

Teacher and other unions [There are millions] I don’t actually hire anyone but more pay and benefits for me are great. Promoting my union is my highest priority.

Government [There are tens of thousands] If I get some federal money, I will have to hire some people to spend it. Welfare and other services are booming. Government life is good!

Medical services [There are thousands] I will need to hire more doctors and nurses to support the coming national health plan. However, there are not enough doctors and nurses to hire, so I will have to start rationing medical care — big surprise.

Congress [There is just one] I am primarily concerned with getting reelected. The fact that I have to visit my home district in an armored vehicle with a security detail is disconcerting. Maybe Obama mania is not such a hot idea after all.

While no one is ready for the presidency...

Josh LeGuern Sunday, February 8th at 5:29PM EST (link)

…Obama’s bearings are coming loose very early and it’s not a good tone to set for his first two weeks in office. If he’s not careful, this could very well set the tone for his first 100 days.

He needs to dump Gibbs first of all, a bad press secretary is one of the worst things that can happen to a President (look at Scott McClellan) and a good one is a God-send (look at Tony Snow).

Then he needs to announce to his staff that any sort of bipartisan Washington dream utopia is out of the window, as the Republicans have too much difference between them and the Dems to do this. Obama is obviously interested in setting a liberal tone and engaging in a liberal agenda, let them do it and own it. Let me tell you, it would be the best thing to happen to the Republican Party in a long time.

Finally, Obama needs to pull the reigns of power from Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. He needs to put them in their place and let them know he is the President, not them. He sets the agenda for the country, not them and if they wanted to be President, they should have ran last year.

If Obama can do these things, he may be able to steer his presidency back on track and at least have a meaningful term. If not, he’s not looking too good.

Who needs experience?

Freedomlover Sunday, February 8th at 8:50PM EST (link)

This presidency thing is cool. I set the strategy because I won. Then I go out for dinner, go to the ballet, and set off for Illinois for a photo op at the Lincoln’s birthday bash and it’s all on the book. Lots less demanding than when I was working over the banks for Acorn pushing the Community Redevelopment Act. Nancy and Harry can handle it here and John has the rest of the world covered. All I need is someone to keep an eye on Hilary to make sure she doesn’t actually do something and I’ll have it made.
