Time To Stop Crying

The election is over and a President has been elected. Now it is time for the Republicans to get over it and stop crying.

As I read blogs, listen to talk radio or see the Republican pundits on television, all I hear is whiny, cry baby losers. Licking our wounds will not change any of the events of November 4Th. Instead of placing the blame on an unfair media bias, ACORN or whatever else, we must place the blame exactly where it belongs. ON US!

Over the past few years, conservatives have lost their way. We went off course, we were not careful when choosing those we wanted to represent us. So now what? Instead of crying we need to re-group, we need to find men and women who will represent our conservative ideology. We have two years to achieve this and as everyone knows time flies by and 2010 will soon arrive.

Therefore, lets get off the “poor us” wagon and start being pro-active and find our way back from perdition

Well KD I would disagree with your assessment of crying...

I believe the first 2 days were straight up anger and since than a majority of the diaries have been where do we go from here…..and if you do not assess where you have been you cannot begin to address where you are going….RIGHT?

Whoever has his enemy at his mercy &
does not destroy him is his own enemy

Cried a little, yes. Less than a day, i guess.

But after that, I resisted my anger. I’ve accepted the fact the we lost the last election and I realized that there are some good things about this loss:

  1. We can nolonger be manipulated by moderates, RINOs, etc. The traitors are revealed.

  2. Mistakes of Bush Presidency (running as Republican/Conservative while governing like a democrat) have become clear to many of us.

  3. Our purpose as conservatives are reinforced. Our existence has now become more “crucial” than ever. There is this urge to fight back immediately. NO HONEYMOON FOR OBAMA AND THE MSM!

  4. Boycotting of MSM, Hollywood, and all large corporations who supported Obama is the priority and must be sustained. War against NYT, WAPO, LAT, CNN, ABC, MSNBC, must continue. No movies whatsoever!

  5. I have just renewed my membership with NRA. I am buying new firearms.

  6. Return to Drill, Baby, Drill! Somehow it has lost its luster at the middle of the campaign.

  7. We should start the re-strengthening of the Conservative movement at the grassroot level. I like the “5-point program” idea of Savage Politics (www.savagepolitics.com).

  8. *Let us revive the Conservative Activism. * We are now the minority. Let us return to our original roots, *the original American Activists based on the principles of our founding Father *(not the Alinsky type).

  9. We must recover our youth. We need to sponsor and re-finance the student groups and clubs of minority conservative students in Harvard and other universities and colleges who have been suffering from maltreatment and injustice in their respective campuses. These are the youth who have been long forgotten by the RNC, Pres. Bush, and “us”. They don’t have funds to support their campus activities and outreach programs. They don’t have protection like those being enjoyed by liberal school organizations.

  10. In the universities, we need to mobilize and politicize all the professors of Economics Department in all universities and schools. They have been so “neutral” enough in the last 20 years. They’ve been hiding in the closet for fear of losing their tenure and jobs from liberal-biased university/college administration. We need to fight those leftist liberal professors who have indoctrinated the youth with liberal and socialist ideals of failed european democracies.

  11. *We need to establish our version of ACORN, create our own conservative version of AFL-CIO and Working Families Party. * We need to create activist third parties. This is a must. Possibly, we need to create and promote conservative unions for public employees.

  12. We need to welcome the Constitution Party again. Actually, they are more conservative than us with respect to the last campaign messages. But we need to think of what to do with Ron Paul and Baldwin, however. Note the 5% votes they slashed from the Republican ticket in the last election.

  13. We have to groom the young blood conservative leaders. Enough of these pragmatist leaders, “doer not a talker” things. Both accomplishment, high conservative intellect and communication skills are required for our leaders. We need leaders who can inspire and communicate best. These kind of leaders are the ones that win the election.

  14. Like Reagan, our new leaders must study conservative policies and principles. They must become great conservative thinkers. Sarah, Jindal, Cantor, Sanford, De Mitt, etc. must go back to the study room and create their own conversative vision of the future that inspires and gives us hope for a better America. The best vision backed up by accomplishments should win the primaries. For our part, let us protect them from MSM, RINOs, traitor republicans, etc. RNC must strategize how our young leaders can be more visible in national issues and limelights.

  15. *We need a new breed of Conservative Intellectuals in the like of Edward Burke, etc. * Our conservative ideals should not be based on the random thoughts of columnists and politicians around us. We need to formalize our princiles and policies. These intellectuals should be the source of our conservative ideals. Our conservative columnists, bloggers, and politicians must preach and proliferate them through the art of writing and public speaking.

  16. Enough of these Rovian theories and principles. His ideas are temporary and don’t last because they don’t expand the base.

  17. The real strategy is to attract and educate as many Americans as possible of American conservatism. We need to expand our base, the very people who will stay with us forever no matter what because they believe in what we and our party represent.

  18. No more moderate leaders, pls. Only real conservatives. This is the heart of our main strategy as a party. Moderate candidate will always undermine our message of conservative principles, making us hypocrites. No more MSM/dimnut influence during primaries.

And so many ideas and so many things to do… no time for crying! War is on against the incoming administration! Unless Obama is acting like a conservative, we shall lash him out.

In summary…

NO REST TO THE WICKED!

And Behold…

THE NEW DAWN OF CONSERVATISM IS COMING HERE IN AMERICA WITH A VENGEANCE!

Must target minorities

Magnificat Sunday, November 9th at 5:32AM EST (link)

Texas is just about ready to turn blue, and that’s bad news considering the number of red states that defected. Granted, there was no blowout, but the increased Latino and black votes will bolster the Democratic party for years, at locations once considered safely Republican.

Blacks and Latinos in California voted yes on prop 8 (constitutional ban on gay marriage) by almost 2 to 1 margin. The whites were narrowly in favor of defeating that measure. Traditional marriage and moral values? That’s OUR territory. The GOP needs to compromise a bit on immigration, then actively court Latinos and Asians, a great many of them who attend church and tend to support traditional issues.

Republicans can’t win the minority vote outright, but if they garner 30-40% (back to George Bush level) again, they’ll be competitive.

Yes I do Agree

I do agree that we must find our way to the future. But also listen to the anger and hatred going on. This will rob us from any of our rational thought.

Yes, KD, anytime. But watch out for the errors.

Rod_Patrick Sunday, November 9th at 4:48PM EST (link)

But correct my typos and grammatical errors, please. I don’t know but I hate re-reading my comment for errors.

And it’s really Edmund or Edmunde Burke, I forgot my Humanities subject. I don’t know any American thinker named Edward Burke, sorry. Maybe I’m still in limbo after our loss. LOL!
