Obama lying about Ayers

CNN: relationship was "much deeper, ran much longer, and was much more political."

I think we can definitively put the “he was just some guy in my neighborhood explanation” behind us. Noted racist right wing organization CNN has a report on the relationship between Obama and William Ayers and they found “the relationship between Obama and Ayers went much deeper, ran much longer, and was much more political than Obama said.” Here is the video:

For the details on Ayers and Obama see the indispensable Stanley Kurtz here and here and here.

In two days, Obama has gone from trying to counter with the Keating 5, to full blown back pedaling spin. Both the NYT and CNN have actually run pieces on the relationship. The best Obama can come up with is “I didn’t know about his background”. That isn’t going to fly in the current environment of general distrust for politicians.

This is not going well for Obama.

CNN has a ratings problem, they’re getting beat in prime time by MSNBC. Example Wed. Oct. 1:

    7PM – P2+ (25-54) (35-64)
    Fox Report w/ Shepard Smith ? 2,385,000 viewers (553,000) (1,170,000)
    Lou Dobbs?1,381,000 viewers (476,000) (692,000)
    Hardball w/Chris Matthews?1,436,000 viewers (417,000) (671,000)
**Is Your Money Safe (7PM-10PM)?384,000 viewers (113,000) (181,000)
    Glenn Beck ? 700,000 viewers (294,000) (378,000)

    8PM – P2+ (25-54) (35-64)
    The O?Reilly Factor- 4,328,000 viewers (937,000) (1,877,000)
    Election Center?1,669,000 viewers (575,000) (804,000)
    Countdown w/Keith Olbermann? 2,283,000 viewers (753,000) (1,124,000)
    Nancy Grace ?1,362,000 viewers (587,000) (763,000)

    9 PM – P2+ (25-54) (35-64)
    Hannity & Colmes?3,948,000 viewers (1,037,000) (1,713,000)
    Larry King Live?2,301,000 viewers (735,000) (1,044,000)
    Rachel Maddow Show?1,958,000 viewers (704,000) (1,018,000)
    Glenn Beck- 682,000 viewers (301,000) (405,000)

    Link

Rachel Maddow and Larry King are duking it out for second, Maddow has beaten him on some nights, and Nancy Grace has beaten Campbell Brown on some nights, as well.

Another interesting aside, I saw the ticker on CNN Headline news yesterday saying that “CNN reasearch” had shown Palin’s claims about Ayers were false. Now this. HMMMM

I’m astonished it came from CNN, but they did a good job looking at the basic story of how Ayers advanced Obama’s career by putting him charge of handing out millions of dollars to far left indoctrination efforts at school. It’s also got some interesting tidbits about how Obama and Ayers worked together at another organization that funneled lots of money to Jeremiah “God D**n America” Wright and Ayer’s wife.

I mean, I don’t mind it, but what gives?

They’ve been so totally in the bag for him up till now and then suddenly the NYT and CNN both run stories with actual ‘truth’ truth about his past.

Have they caught on that maybe their bias is affecting the bottom line and they have to trot out something to show they’re objective?

Have they suddenly developed a conscience?

Has Hillary’s moles subverted their organizations from within to precipitate Obama’s defeat?

Has the VRWC subverted their organizations from within to precipitate Obama’s defeat?

Or (perhaps most likely) have they become concerned that the show may be over too soon and they need to knock Obama down a notch to keep it competitive?

    Curious.

  • udtiger

…perhaps they are having some misgivings about the great unknown they may be about to put into office. Look at history…not *everyone *gets to be part of the propaganda ministry.

  • Shoebox

last night “Did anyone die in the bombings?” Evidently Alan has drunk the kool aid to the point that he believes the end justifies the means, especially so, if people only get hurt, but not killed.

    • udtiger

…if Eric Rudolph only did physical damage to abortion clinics, and did not actually hurt anyone, he’d be cool?

      • MikeO

It looks like an attempt to put the facts out there about Ayers and then downplay them to establish the talking points the idiots will use to justify their continuing support for this pal of terrorists.

This is a dangerous game for them, but I suspect that the hard left will grudgingly risk sacrificing Senator Obama’s shot at the White House to distract people from the GSE/Dem corruption mess.

Senator McCain and Governor Palin will focus the anger and bloodlust of the electorate onto Fannie/Freddie/Frank/Schumer/Dodd/Raines/Johnson/Moses/Mudd where it belongs, and that is going to wreck the totalitarian left’s agenda worse than four years of Carter did.

  • Swamp_Yankee

I can’t CNN reported this, exposing both Obama and the NT Times as liars. This is great. I’m so glad Palin is free. A steady erosion of the polls has begun. Hammer away.

  • magnum1

MSM, it can tear you down faster than it props you up.as said previous i too believe this is somewhat about ratings.

  • CSUFBomb

    …since, well, Barack Obama.

AC clearly is having a hard time accepting the notion that Barry’s casual acquaintance with Ayers wasn’t casual at all. However, AC still hasn’t accepted that Barry and his buddy weren’t helping the Chicago schools with the three R’s – unless they’ve been re-defined as reading, writing, and radicalism. The Annenberg Challenge gave $ to community activist groups to help radicalize the Chicago school system, including radicalizing teachers.

An uncommonly good random act of journalism by Drew Griffin. Expect him to be fired by CNN shortly.

    • Rod_Patrick

      Nuff said.

      • Rod_Patrick

That way, Obama won’t feel so bad about it.

After all, behind Obama’s political ideology, there are Ayers and Davis and many more.

It sure is not being reflected in the polls. He is surging in all of the swing states.

Peggy Noonan is correct: Their is no more moral majority to appeal to, and all of the youth have been educated (that is, indoctinated)into the Bill Ayers type education (thus, their overwhelming support for Barry).

Darkness is what this nation faces.

Email the Directors before you post again.

        • Dave_in_Fla

You are mixing apples and oranges. I was referring to the campaign’s dysfunctional response to the Ayers issue today, and especially how their Keating 5 threat went up in smoke in less than 24 hours.

What the polls say in swing states, has nothing to do with Ayers. It can’t, the information is brand new to the swing voters.

          • Moe_Lane

…used about the Other Side. :)

I complemented Eva Braun on the furniture. I had a nice chat with her husband, whom I hear moves in government circles in Germany.

raising funds for the local choir, I was offered delicious almond biscotti and espresso.

I understand that Mr. Giotti was heavily involved in community organizing in that part of Brooklyn, so it seemed to be a good place to pursue my fundraising campaign.

I am so ASHAMED at questioning The One!

Just curious about this. This is not news in the sense that it’s new or recent. Had CNN shown a fraction of the interest in scrutinizing Obama as they have shown in Palin, for example, they would have run this story a year ago and had regular followups.

With the exception of Anderson Cooper asking what’s so bad about Obama and Ayers working together to improve schools (Obviously Cooper wasn’t watching his own report, since part of the point was that they did nothing to improve schools; they distributed money to radical political organizations, mostly radical political organizations run by them and their friends.) It’s like CNN has decided to impersonate a responsible news organization. What do you think brought this on?
