I was an early 'Fred Head'. Looking back, boy do I wish he would have been the one to choose Sarah. I truly believe that the way things are going, there are going to be just a few of us 'American's' that are going to be SICK of both parties. Most of us know that a 3rd party campaign just doesn't seem to work. That is where, in my opinion, Sarah Palin, if she gets the right advice, can truly 'Change' our government. BO has just brought a modern day 'Daily Chicago' to all of us. Nothing more.

I was concerned when many Rep. 'elite' wrote her off so soon after her announcement that she was resigning. But then I started to see the rational.

The Republican Party should be aware of a couple of things. It is quite likely that Energy, Smaller Government, and Less Taxes and Spending will be the pivotal issues for the next few years. I think some in Washington should be very careful when criticizing Gov.Palin, weather Republican or Democrat. The Dkos , Huffpukes owners will have worn out their welcome and their liberal theories. Most Americans, Democratic and Republican will be looking for someone that will just make things better for our children, and I think that most will vote for ‘One of Us’. There is not another potiential candidate that fits that bill, but Gov. Sarah Palin.

A word to Democrat and Republican elected officals. If you put yourself in a position to be labeled as a ‘Good ole Boy’ of today’s government, after a couple more years of the
“Train Wreck” called Obama, you do so at your own risk. Sarah has a record that the majority of Americans LIKE…………

I, for once in my life, am without words.

And I don't even consider you a SmearBot, since you actually have a valid reason to, ummm, *disagree* with Sarah.

has been beyond the pale and no public figure should have to endure some of the stuff turned on her, especially as it relates to her kids, and you've done something when you can get me to admit sympathy for Sarah Palin.

Right now she is the highest profile conservative politician. If she does not run in 2012, whoever she endorses will win the Republican nomination. I do not think she will have as much influence if she runs. Her strongest role will be to galvanize the conservatives. As polls show, conservatives make up the largest voting block. She needs to find the message that brings them all in for conservative Republican candidates.

She is a talented speaker and she has a part to play. I don't know if she can make it in an election for higher office now, but that doesn't change the fact that she would be helpful to the conservative movement.

I was hoping she’d go back quietly to Alaska and do a good job there

Not me. I was hoping she would come to Florida to draw crowds and raise money for Mark Rubio. And then go on and do the same thing for conservatives in every other state where the GOP Establishment has already decided who's won next year's primary.

The difference is the now have something tangible at which to point.

I agree the media will go after her with everything they have without ceasing. If she ever does get elected to a high office, it'll be entertaining just to sit back and watch their heads explode on a daily basis.

For me, I think I'm tired of both PDS and the Palin Bots. I was hoping she'd go back quietly to Alaska and do a good job there, but it would appear neither side was willing to let that happen.

there will be a lot of questions about her ability to stand up to the scrutiny on the national stage again

What, because of this? Come on. That's all the pukes in the media were going to do no matter what. It's all they're doing now. It's all they will do if it looks like she's going to run for office, and it's all they were and are going to do in between. Liberals are terrified of Sarah Palin. It is visceral. BDS is a mild affliction compared to what Sarah Palin does to liberals.

Please do not worry that the media will be tougher on Sarah Palin because of anything that happened this week. They are in full nuclear-attack mode. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be. It doesn't matter what she does or does not do.

The media wanted her scalp. Now they think they got it. I'm with Kowalski: I think they should have been more careful about what they wished for.

Hardly anyone understands sexual politics better than Camille Paglia. This is what she wrote after the VP debate:
lthough nothing will sway my vote for Obama, I continue to enjoy Sarah Palin's performance on the national stage. During her vice-presidential debate last week with Joe Biden (whose conspiratorial smiles with moderator Gwen Ifill were outrageous and condescending toward his opponent), I laughed heartily at Palin's digs and slams and marveled at the way she slowly took over the entire event.

Just so. Sarah Palin is a Bene Gesserit witch. And she's pissed. I don't think the pukes in the media have a clue what's headed their way.

If she's done with running for office, then it doesn't matter to me. But if she runs for POTUS in 2012, there will be a lot of questions about her ability to stand up to the scrutiny on the national stage again. The ads would pretty much write themselves.

At American Thinker. The whole thing is worth reading, but I think my favorite line from it is the following:

She will be back. Not for 2012. The GOP has its plans already worked out. Very clever ones, too. The Republicans will do what they always do when they're up against it: grab an empty suit and run around shaking it in people's faces while shouting, "Here's the man!" By 2012, after his policies really hit home, as gas and home fuel prices triple and quadruple, as medical rationing begins, as the renewed Axis of Evil runs wild across Eurasia, Obama will be ready to drop. At that point he could be defeated by a ticket consisting of Charley Manson and Jojo the Dogface Boy. But the GOP will blow it all the same. Exactly as the party did in '96, following the same script to the letter. They will, to coin a phrase, Mitt it up.

Night Twister

To what benefit was it to Alaska if she would have stayed? Alaska could have paid millions in legal bills defending her against frivolous ethics complains. The government would have been ham strung and the goals that Alaskans elected her for would have fallen by the wayside.

Her Government would have been labeled a miserable failure and in the end, she would be out of politics and relegated to a failed govenor. when the left hates something - you know it's good.

Good Question: “What’s right for Alaska,” as opposed to “What’s in it for Sarah Palin,”

This is exactly what it boils down to. People cannot not see the integrity and ethics that were on full display in this one act. Our society is so out of touch with people of true character that they cannot understand it when it is presented to them.

mom2oneson

It is a higher calling because if she stayed on as Alaska Govenor, the state would have wasted time and money defending her against ethics complaint, after ethics complaint.

The state is now free from that and she knows that the goals that she had as governor will be fulfilled with Shaun Parnell at the helm.

Instead of fighting off allegations constantly, Alaska can move forward with the pipeline etc. Anyone who doesn't get this is pretty dense in my book.

Instead of fighting off allegations constantly, Alaska can move forward with the pipeline etc. Anyone who doesn’t get this is pretty dense in my book.

"She’s the anti-Obama: someone we love for what she is and what she says, not what she does."

What planet are you living on? Obama never does what he says. You don't make a bit of sense.

As far as Palin, the reason I support her is because of what she does and not what she says. And "Love" has nothing to do with it. You must be a lefty!

"2.: to recruit someone to join one's party, institution, or cause."

Palin is not a Huckabee, not even close. I think of Huckabee as a more charming Pat Robertson. If Palin is anything like Huckabee it is surely in the minds of media creeps who put anyone who speaks of belief in God in the bitter clingers basket.
