I don’t have much use for entertainers under any circumstance and this one hasn’t done anything remotely entertaining since the ’80s unless you consider his scandals entertaining.

FOX really ticked me off….with all the SERIOUS news in world …cap & trade being voted on , Iran, North Korea, a Congressman’s wife pleading guilty to a Felony and we get this RAPIST wall to wall….my family just turned off all the news channels and watched movies!

Heard Hannity say on radio earlier he was going to be talking about Jacko tonight for most of his TV show, of course he probably thinks the C&T vote would be over by then. You know Greta’s gonna be all Jacko. At least Beck was pretty much all C&T, with a nod of respect to Jacko.

I agree with Art, what’s he done since the 80′s that deserved the spotlight besides the scandals? Pretty much every cd after the 80′s was a flop, then all you heard from him was scandal this, weirdness that.

I pray for the family and his kids, I do feel sympathy for them, even some for Jacko because he wasn’t able to get his life back together before he died, but yesterday’s all night coverage was just too much for a guy that stopped being the “King of Pop” a long time ago.

I sent Fox News an email Thursday to say I expect real news from them, not wall to wall coverage of Michael Jackson’s death. I wrote that there are significant problems that we will be stuck with if the majority of people don’t wake up and realize how bad Cap & Trade is and they should stop the MJ coverage and leave that to entertainment shows. He was an entertainer, not some historical figure.

No one has repsonded. I put on Fox last night and it was pretty much more of the same. I have Comcast cable w/an On Demand feature. I spent what time I was home watching Rescue Me On Demand.

My mother is in a nursing home, I visited w/her from 7-10 Friday night and had to put C-SPAN on to hear what was going on, it was after the vote, but at least I got to see part of Boehner speaking. It’s hard to pay attention to her and television at same time.

Fox still has on Saturday lots of Jackson coverage, who really cares? Does anyone? He’s dead. We’re alive, we have to live.

I did switch to MSNBC to see if they had usual documentary on, but somoene compared Jackson death w/JFK in historical significance? Sorry I did not leave it on long enough to see who anchor was, did not care.

there is anything more important going on in the world that the MSM should maybe be covering instead.

Cap and Trade, nationalized health care, US Presidential support for ousted dictators, Iranians being gunned-down in the streets and the last quarter century’s best opportunity for hands-off regime-change slipping by the wayside for lack of international support (we’ll deal with the upcoming A-bombs later)….. all of those things are either trivial, or will be around for a long-long time and we can deal with the consequences some other time. Michael will probably only die ONCE….. and the world will never be the same again.

TYhis is a matter of priorities.

I don’t understand why there is a bunch of hoopla about the death of Michael Jackson. He was a mediocre entertainer at best. He was most famous for the never ending Thriller video. If it were not for that production, then he wouldn’t be considered as famous as he is today.

Also, if his music was so great; then he would have had his music showcased on a regular basis throughout the years. That was not the case. You could hear his music from time to time, but not regularly. The only thing that could have put the spotlight on him again is if he died.

I think my point is made.
