MEMBER DIARY

Palin, Pence, Daniels etc. OK let’s just cool it.

It seems to me that if anyone posts a diary promoting some Republican presidential hopeful then it quickly becomes a slug fest and an occasion of both denigrating the person being mentioned and promoting some other candidate.

I admit that I have been guilty of this myself, and I apologize. But let’s just cool it ok?  First of all, we don’t even know who is running yet.  In the second place, there is lot’s of time for candidates to either (a) gain more name recognition (b) connect with the nation or (c) gain more “electability”.

So next time someone  wants to promote a candidate that they prefer, think twice before you either come in with both arms swinging, or else use his diary to promote someone else.

As usual, polite discussion and asking questions are always appropriate.  Accusations and name calling are not.

Thank you.

What I am seeing is supporters doing oppo research without doing sufficiently thourough research on the candidate they are supporting.

This finger pointing is unattractive and only detracts from the candidates and the debate. So please, hyper down, folks.

We all want the best conservative to win, well, there is one notable exeption, but aside from the obvious outliers, we all do.

Remember, we came together in November like never before in modern history. Let’s not wreck it before the candidates even get started.

I just saw this and it brightened my heart. He would definitely be my choice. http://bit.ly/fM74ct

I think the more strong conservative voices we have out there, the better off we will be. He is just the one I had in mind when I said our nominee needs to be the person who does the most to get conservatives into office.

We can talk about potential 2012 candidates until we’re blue in the face. Perhaps, its best to sit back and watch the 2012 primary unfold by itself for a little bit. Besides, the potential frontrunners have mentioned have said they will announce their intentions later than sooner.

What is to be gained by jumping on a bandwagon so early anyway? Absolutely nothing, unless you want a spot on their campaign.

Why not wait until you have all the information on a candidate you can get before making a big decision?

Or how bout waiting until they even announce their candidacy? lol

This premature cheerleading w/out any vetting or even knowing if they’ll be a candidate is like putting money down on a house you saw on the internet and you don’t even know if it is listed for sale or not.

are narrowed to 2 or 3. We can speak positively or negatively of any candidate but no one should back down from hecklers. Ignore them or correct them and stand up for yourself as several have done.

I see too much hero worship with several would be candidates but very limited facts that would sway my opinion. I read about Obama for 4 months of 2008 before deciding he was Veep material at best. Never did I consider him as a serious candidate I’d support. I was right, a limited role with less power would have muzzled him up right.

McCain was into his 2008 victory lap with Romney and Huckabee still hanging in, eh?

I am not making a decision about who I will support, but I am very interested in finding the best candidate as early as possible so he or she doesn’t get blown aside by moderate or “maverick” candidates with big establishment war chests…
