What really gets me is the Orwellian use of the term, “single-payer”.  Just who is this payer?  This is just the start.  If it is good for healthcare, why not other important industries like energy?  First they strangle private enterprise with regulations and then they come riding on their white-washed horse to save the day by buying everyone out.

    even if the government doesn’t outlaw competition, it can undercut any private company by simply shifting tax money into its enterprises to reduce prices below market until the competition dies off.

    When you run a trillion dollar deficit, anything is possible–except assurance of a continuing demand for our government bonds on the world market.

    I wonder how Ford will compete with Government Motors sales incentives, backed by the full faith and credit of our federal government courtesy of tax payers.

    I wonder if Government Motors new “employee pricing” sale will include lifetime pension and health benefits?
