Obama Tries Snookering America By DISCLOSE-ing Disdain For The Truth

How far has the Office of the President been denigrated when, thirty-something years ago it took two crack reporters from the Washington Post and some guy named “Deep Throat” to uncover the lies enveloping the White House, to today, when a pint-sized faux-Jersey girl named Snooki can catch the President of the United States in a lie?

Really. How pathetic is it when, barely 20 seconds into this week’s presidential address, the temptation to laugh gives way to knee-slapping guffaws at the transparent and hypocritical effort to demonize faux villains for something he, as well as his union boss cronies, have been doing for years?  Here’s his statement:

“As the political season heats up, Americans are already being inundated with the usual phone calls, mailings, and TV ads from campaigns all across the country,” Obama said. “But this summer, they’re also seeing a flood of attack ads run by shadowy groups with harmless-sounding names. We don’t know who’s behind these ads and we don’t know who’s paying for them.”

Let’s start with the first point (Americans being inundated with calls mailings and TV ads), shall we?…

  • Tabitha Hale cites an e-mail she received from the DNC last week wherein the party of jackasses used women’s suffrage as a means of telling her that, if you’re a woman, you should vote for the Democrats in the mid-terms.
  • In another example, Moveon.org provided the President some cover fire over the 9/11 Mosque controversy with an e-mail that started out with:

Dear MoveOn member,

Last week, President Obama took a brave stand in support of a core American principle: freedom of religion.

Now, President Obama is under serious attack from Newt Gingrich, Sarah Palin and much of the Republican Party, who are using the proposed Islamic community center in Lower Manhattan to whip up fear and hate.

But, then, what about the President’s second point…all those “shadowy groups with harmless sounding names?”

Did the President mean the Alliance for a Stronger Community?  Or, maybe, the President meant TakeBacktheEconomy.org?  Perhaps what the President really meant the Center for Community Change?  Or, was it the Working Families Party the President was about? Surely, he didn’t mean the pro card-check American Rights at Work shadow group, did he? Maybe the shadow groups the President was really talking about was the Democracy Alliance or the Tides Foundation?  Of course, he couldn’t have been referring to ACORN since that group no longer exists…or does it?

Forgetting that the President is on his sixth vacation (six more than this writer has had in…well…years), that the debate over whether he lies has become so easily proven, it is almost hysterical how blatantly obvious the President tries to snooker (sorry, Snooki!) America into believing that he and his leftist cronies in the union movement (and elsewhere) are not doing exactly what he is accusing other ‘unnamed’ groups of doing.

Of course his entire message was more about making an argument for limiting the First Amendment Rights of some, while favoring his union bosses through the “harmless-sounding” DISCLOSE Act.

Unless, of course, the President may have already spent too much time in the fecal-infested waters around Martha’s Vinyard because, if we didn’t know any better, we could swear he’s full of **it.

After all, as the President stated: “The only people who don’t want to disclose the truth are people with something to hide.”

We couldn’t agree more, Mr. President, and you’ve made our case for us.

They threw everything they had at Bush and are now stuck sounding like a skipping CD because they have nothing left in their bag of tricks.

And when moments of truth like Pelosi’s “we have to pass it to find out what’s in it” happen, truth happens whether they like it or not.

When Republicans do just what I said they should do with “Just say No!”, truth happens and all the Democrats can do is whine about bipartisanship they didn’t need.

Tough love. It’s what’s for dinner on November 2. It will either cure or kill the Democrats. It’s really up to them which it does.

Reality has a way of interrupting the liar’s narrative, and that is what will happen to the current occupant of the Oval Office.

they will just go back into their holes, pout a while, attack each other a bit, and come back out with all the same bile, lies, and filth.

They are like the Bourbons, they learn nothing and forget nothing.

Unfortunately the left, like Satan, can never be defeated, only banished for a time.

Obama complains about the “millions spent on TV ads”….
The real effective message is getting out.
That is why the socialists are so desperate to control the net.

if you make $75,000 a year, the loss of the Bush tax cuts will up your tax obligation $1500.

If you live in NY State and are a family of 4 making $125,000, you could see a fed. tax taise of nearly $5000.

    (WSJ and NY Post figures)

In NY they are the New York Communities for Change. In Texas they are the Texas Organizing Project. In several states they are now Affordable Housing Centers of America. In CA they are the Alliance of Californians for Community Empowerment. Working Families Party was conceived by ACORN, SEIU and Bertha Lewis. Is a faux party which in several states in the NE allows for cross-endorsing. ACORN is NOT dead. It has rebranded into innocent sounding names. Community organizing, from the finest community organizer. And ACORN is still alive. Under the name of ACORN.

Yep. Bertha Lewis is still front and center.

Sean Penn Movie Handily Skirts McCain-Feingold Just in Time for November Elections

    http://apocalypseobserved.blogspot.com/2010/08/penn-mccain-and-feingold-oh-my.html

And now, just in time to sway the ignorant masses before an election, comes “Fair Game”, a fictionalized account of the outing of Valerie Plame for which Bush aide, Scooter Libby, took the fall after an artificially outraged media conducted a witch hunt that lasted for months. I probably should have capitalized the “F” in fictionalized. Just from the trailer, you can tell it got the full liberal conspiracy theory treatment.

    (snip)

The Bush administration (surprise and shock) comes off badly in this Hollywood propaganda opus. It’s not out yet, but the film company is planning a November 5 limited release, 3 days after the election. This gives them a month to pummel the voters with ads for the movie. The ads I’ve seen are basically 30 and 60 second commercials casting Republicans as bad people – especially George Bush.

    (snip)

McCain/Feingold prohibits “soft money sources” from running issue-oriented ads in support of political candidates or parties 60 days before a general election, precisely the time frame in which “Fair Game” trailers will be hitting the airwaves and theaters nationwide. What’s even more fun is that if a “soft money source” like, say, George Soros decides to “invest” in the film, he could pay for as many ads as he wants to run and McCain-Feingold be damned.

    (snip)

By opening the movie after the election they can say they weren’t trying to influence the election at all. “We didn’t open it till AFTER the election.” they will point out. While technically true, what they hope you don’t notice is that they get to run ads for the movie BEFORE anyone actually sees the movie. That way bad reviews and dismal box office numbers for the film can’t dent the Bush-bashing impact of the commercials as it did in the case of “W”. It’s a movie that doesn’t have to even be any good to accomplish what the Hollywood glitterati hope to accomplish – preserve Democrat seats in the house by frightening voters with the specter of a resurrected George W. Bush.
