back in the 80's I had bright, intelligent and personable minority kids who would be doing well for a while then the grades would fall off, their demeanor would change and they would start to cause discipline problems. When I asked around about what caused the change the answer always came back that their peers had accused them of trying to be white. Since the start of the equal rights movement, much of the problem was no support from family or peers for those who could be successful. Now that the entitlement mentality has superceded the success mentality the problem of non-support and peer pressure has grown like a virus. The government has been feeding this menatlity with more entitlement porgrams and throwing more money at it since the 60s. Nothing has really changed for a large % of the entitlement crowd. Like the other unions, the only ones benefitting are the "leaders and union bosses". I would be interested to know where Ms. Duke's kids went to school.
One thing is true, a 40% graduation rate and they want to keep the school open, is definitely a race problem!

To be fair -- that's not why they exist. All the more reason they shouldn't have as much power as they do, particularly when it comes to the education system.

We wind up spending too damned much time focused on the employees, and forget what those employees are there for.

This is not just a fight by American parents in Harlem against the Democrat party and their puppet organizations, (the public teachers union or the NAACP). The main, (left) stream media is the voice for the tyranny of the party in a city where the cancer of leftism is epidemic. This is truly a fight that the tea party can and must enter. To join in the fight with American parents for the freedom to have their children educated. This Same fight happened back in the 70s after a report by Mike Wallace on 60 minutes on store front schools and the success they were having in Harlem. The difference between then and now, is now there is a tea party. We should get our local tea party chapters across this nation to contact Geoffrey Canada, founder of the Harlem Children

What they are doing is no different than if we were to "MEDICALIZE" the treatment of hard core drug usage by having our military set up clinics to dispense crack and heroin. The theory being that in order to take the profit out of the drug trade you have to break the chains of the business relationship between addict and dealer.....

That's right the drug dealers would threaten and scare their "customers" that they would F--K them up if they don't buy from them. In order for this medically supervised program to take away the $$$ from the drug trade the military and the police would have to protect the addicts ...from the dealers!! The drug dealers would declare an all out war on the medical clinics dispensing the free drugs and the addict customer they have to keep bringing them money.

The addicts in the case of this story are the useful idiot inner city students....the dealers are the Race hustlers like NAACP that make money from taxpayers to keep their franchise going. Instead of bullets as the drug dealer uses they use cries of "racism" and we need more tax money to get better pay for our teachers.

Now we all know the failure of the 60's social engineering programs. Welfare has helped destroy the black family unit ...as well as the urban white family unit.....My babies daddy is a result of paying people NOT to engage in the fundamental unit of our society. The married family unit is at the core of when America was a great nation!!!

Black people still believe to this day that Republican means KKK. Little do they know their hero Martin Luther King Jr was a Republican....and the Klan was largely a southern Democratic organization....

What I will never understand it how some people who are sports fans look at a team and know every detail in a minutia of stats the goes way back to their college days....yet they can't see a game plan in real life that would work in their own lives...If Blacks, Whites, or whomever want to be successful in life they only need to look at those that ARE successful...and emulate their game plan...not just their material possessions.

So called "White Guilt" is what put Barrack Obama over the edge in 2008...and look what that got us....!!

THAT won't play in 2012. Eric Holder said we were "a nation of cowards" when it comes to race......BUNK! Eric the Racist!!! Well I'm here to tell it like it is...until the Black community stops with the Uncle Tom attitude when it comes to holding back their own race.....The black race hustlers and opportunists like our Holder will always be your new " massers"...on the Democratic voter plantation .... it's only walls are in your mind....!!!! the mind they want to keep down by scare tactics and cries of racism at every turn......

It's a long time since slavery in this country was repealed........When will the slave mentality be repealed....from one"masser" to another....sheesh! slavery is still alive in the hearts and minds of people who walk with the crutch of RACISM......

We talk about how we have fuel energy resources that we could tap into and how much difference this could make economically. Well, I see the black community of citizens in a similar way.

Right after Obama was elected, there were some black co-workers of mine who were talking about how this would be their time, that all these years they've waited for reparations for slavery and it has been "whitey" who has stood in their way. And Obama, being black, was going to "make things right". He was going to make sure that reparations were made by redistributing wealth from the rich to the poor. Finally, everything they had been waiting for would come true.

But it didn't happen. Even with a black President and absolute control over Congress, the Dems let this unspoken-yet-always-implied promise to the black community fall by the wayside.

Now, these same ladies are angry...much angrier than I can put into words. Because they can't blame "whitey" for the Dems failure, and they can't blame Republicans any more either.

Ironically enough, as much as conservative here on RS have expressed distrust for government, it pales in comparison to the amount of distrust of government I've heard expressed by these women.
