I know how to shoot courtesy of my Dad and 3 very good Drill Sgts. I currently don’t own a weapon, but have an 80 lbs. alarm named Hank and he has really big teeth. (Aussie Shep./Border Collie mix) I am sadly out of practice with the ways things are going I should really get back to it.

my experience has been that the gun range — well, put it this way, when at your weapons are out at the range or at a range station, it is most polite place I have been to.

that the ladies have what it takes. My own 3 daughters know which end of a firearm to be afraid of. My two son-in-laws when complainig to me at deer camp one year about my daughters stubborness got my drift when I told them “Hey, I didn’t raise them to be housewives”.

Gun laws……..

Every single person purchasing a firearm in The USA must complete Form 4473 (”The Yellow Sheet” or online at a certified FFL dealer), containing all sorts of items you affirm as truth. The person’s name is then sent through ‘the system’, which seeks to verify that affirmed truth within all local, County, State and FEDERAL agencies, checking for past prison time, warrants, charges, investigations, mental illnesses, etc…… even past-due child support……. that may lawfully hinder said person from exercising his or her Constitutional right to keep and bear arms (which, by the way, shall not be infringed)

That a Major in The US Army would be denied purchasing a weapon (of any kind) for cause would beg the question, “Why then would he still be a Major in The US Army ?”

Maybe if The Feds dropped the politically correct stupidity that will get millions of people killed and did their job nailing this bastard before he went off……. or better yet, weren’t so damn secretive about sharing intel with their brethren in The Services and other L.E. agencies, this terrorist act on our largest military installation would have never occurred and Major Terrorist Scumbag would simply have been “Do You Want Fries With That” Terrorist Scumbag who would have obtained firearms by any means necessary and shot up civilians somewhere in Southern Bungbench Iowa.

I grew up on my Grandmother’s ranch, which is now a state park named for her, here in Texas. My sister and I loved to go to the ranch and why wouldn’t we? It was an action packed, fun-filled adventure each time we went. After all, one of the favorite pastimes was Grandmother (that’s right, not “father”) teaching us to shoot and hunt, but we weren’t shooting bulls eyes on targets while standing, kneeling or lying down. We were hunting rattlesnakes and shooting them from our western-saddled horse, with shotguns! (There was a reason we were doing this, but I won’t go into it right now.)

I learned a healthy respect for guns (and rattlesnakes) at a very early age. My sister and I, to this day, own multiples; as do all of our friends.

We learned another reason to own and pack and hone our skills. Our beloved Grandmother was brutally beaten, raped and left for dead at 83, in her own home. And, now, I’m a brand new Grandmother, myself. I’m blonde . . . I’m athletic . . . I’m a skilled markswoman . . . and I pack to protect me and mine from those who wish us ill, be it a rapist or big government — take your pick.

Listen, Small Blond Woman, we used to have lots of women on the rifle team I was a member of when I learned to shoot smallbore competition in high school. And they were our secret weapon, all sub-five-feet of them on a couple of occasions.

And despite having all those, ahem, ladies on the team we were undefeated locally for something like 7 years and were State and National postal match champions in my Junior year. And we couldn’t have spared any of the women on the team in those competitions.

Even if we didn’t have the second amendment, there is no good reason to make guns illegal. Stranger on stranger gun killings in the US are less common than car drivers killed in collision with commercial trucks. Stop subsidizing the roads over rails, and there, I just saved more lives than a gun ban would save gross, and net of course no guns would increase all sorts of crime.
