Peter J. Corrigan needs to win OH US #10 against Kucinich

By: ladyimpactohio (Diary)  |  October 7th at 03:48 PM  |

Since 1996 OH US #10 has been in the stranglehold of US Rep. Dennis Kucinich. This district composes a wide area, Cleveland and areas west, south and east. Kucinich, a former mayor of Cleveland survived a recall vote after he nearly bankrupted the city. I will admit I am old enough to remember the Cuyahoga River catching fire because of pollution. And sorry, voters in | Read More »

Ohio Afro-American group advocating “protest” by withholding Ohio gubernatorial vote

By: ladyimpactohio (Diary)  |  September 28th at 09:51 AM  |

Clarification: I am referring to this group as “Afro-Africans” since this is the way Mr. Harris, the gentleman I interviewed, referenced himself and the people he represents. Also, according to their website they also reference themselves as “Afro-Americans.” Ohio Republican and Democratic leadership: are you listening??? This writer has run across an interesting website in Ohio, “BlackOut 2010.” From their homepage: BlackOut2010.org are concerned citizens, | Read More »

A “thank you” to Labor Union Report for posting this on his website. Ohio state treasurer Kevin Boyce is under fire for recently hiring Boston’s State Street Corp. to manage portions of several of Ohio’s state pension programs. The OFA Peril: Ignore at our own risk

By: ladyimpactohio (Diary)  |  June 1st at 12:07 AM  |

You’ve just won an all expense-paid trip to Hawaii. NOW do I have your attention? Calling all Tea Party groups, tea partiers, twitterers, Facebookers et al, it’s “Tough Love” time! I’m sure all of you have heard the words “this is serious” and these three little words have become banal to you all. Many of us Conservatives seem to be “riding high” on the presumption | Read More »

Dems to get “down and dirty” in Ohio Election?

By: ladyimpactohio (Diary)  |  February 9th at 03:13 PM  |

We’ve all heard the saying, “As Ohio goes, so goes the nation.” Ohio delivered the presidency to GWB in both 2000 and 2004. And many have said that because Ohio went “blue” in 2008, this ensured a victory for Obama. I am sure that all you readers witnessed the shenanigans in Ohio in the fall of 2008. Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner was helped | Read More »

By: ladyimpactohio (Diary)  |  November 18th at 01:26 AM  |

Reported by John Boehner today via Recovery.gov, Ohio grew overnight. By 10 districts. We even have a district named “00.” And this district got $1,865,349 of stimulus $$ and created 8 jobs! As someone commented in another post, “someone should lose their jobs over this!” Here we go, 10 phantom districts in Ohio that received Stimulus dollars. Some haven’t even created a job. So where | Read More »
