Obama Administration now negotiating on behalf of the Palestinian Authority… against Israel.

I saw this article on the Free Republic forum and couldn’t believe my eyes. The original article is here on World Net Daily.

The gist is this: the Obama Administration is actively negotiating with Israel on behalf of the Palestinian Authority: not as a middle man, but on behalf of the PA. The sources for this are a senior PA negotiator (unnamed) and unnamed sources in the Israeli government.

… rather than act as an intermediary, the U.S. has been negotiating with Israel on behalf of the PA, assuming all Palestinian positions and bargaining with Israel from the Palestinian side.

The Obama Administration negotiating with an ally and friend, on behalf of a terrorist organization, taking the side of the terrorist organization… I don’t even know how to think about this, much less what to think. To know that our country is now actively taking the side of a despicable, blood-thirsty, cowardly, terrorist group that has nothing in common with us and our way of life, against a long-time ally, friend, with which we have a common cultural heritage and linked interests, literally takes my breath away.

This just keeps getting better and better….

If American Jews can admit the obvious, they can take pleasure in being the nail in Obama’s 2012 Election Day coffin.

Obama beat McCain by ~9.5 million votes, 69,456,897 to 59,934,814, or 52.9% to 45.7%.

I gotta believe there are ~5 million independents would switch if an election were held today. But if this largely Democratic constituency would just vote 50/50 in 2012, that would be constitute (hehe) a 750,000 loss for Obama and a 750,000 gain for the Republican, nwhich would deliver a huge marginal blow from just 2.2% of the population.

American Jews total ~6.5 million, or 2.2% of the population.

Estimating quickly, I’d guess that 4,0 million of those are of voting age and of those, ~2.4 million voted. 78% would then translate to 1,900,000 for Obama, and 500,000 for McCain. If the the 2012 vote is just split 50/50, or 1,200,000 each, that’s a loss of 700,000 for Obama and a pickup of 700,000 for the reduction, or a ~1.4 million reduction of the 9.4 million gap coming from just 2.2% of the population.

I gotta believe there are 5,000,000 voting independents that will switch in the other ~98 percent of the population.

Liberalism is a de facto religion for many American Jews. Ask Norman Podhoretz.

Whenever I read stories like this, I’m reminded of Nixon’s staunch support of Israel in the ’73 war. Over the objections of his State Department, Nixon ordered huge amounts of US support to Israel, at a time they needed it the most. In one case, when the President got wind of debate within the Pentagon on which kinds of aircraft should be used for supply missions, Nixon reportedly said “Send everything that can fly.”

American Jews showed their thanks at the ballot box in 1974, by overwhelmingly electing Democrats.

Every time I remember that, along with Sarah Palin being snubbed by the organizers of a rally supporting Israel during the 2008 campaign, I find it’s just a little bit harder than I’d like to rally my inner sympathies for Israel.

I can’t help but feel that we conservative supporters of Israel are actively disliked, but grudgingly tolearated, by many American Jews who support Israel.

Israel’s supporters in the American Jewish community had better get on the stick. They wanted Obama; he’s their problem now.
