American Culture and Diversity

It can be said that American culture is leading the way in libertarian ideas.
We desire the ability to think and act with a free mind, not wanting anyone to say that we are wrong. It is a growing trend in our society to reach out and touch someone with harsh words if that person takes a stand opposite society’s perception of truth.
It is a common practice to scourge that person, ripping their skin off with razor-like words. This is ironically called diversity of thought.
In the name of protecting someone’s right to freedom of thought and action, those who dare to have beliefs opposite those free thoughts become enemies of the State. If only one school of thought is permitted to be heard, there is no freedom of thought, and diversity is thrown out the window. America’s culture cannot be free if every person is not free to believe what his conscience dictates. I’m not here to hammer God and His law down anyone’s throat. If a person doesn’t accept that God has given laws to govern the universe so be it. Our future is in our own hands. The only law that I will quote is this: For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. If we claim to be tolerant and then thrash anyone who opposes us with hate and viciousness, what kind of tolerance will we receive when we speak? We will be treated the same way we treat others.
I have brought out these points because in an effort to speak bluntly about diversity in American culture I must first set the stage for our discussion. I know that when these words are read some of you will scoff, some will become angry, and some will want me either to die or to become sick with some dreaded disease. I can take it, but I won’t get sick or die, I happen to enjoy life too much for that to happen.
My first point concerns my belief system and my confession of faith. I believe that God is a just God. He made laws and expects us to follow them. He made those laws to protect us from ourselves and each other. He wrote the laws concerning murder, stealing, adultery, fornication, and lying to keep us from hurting someone else. The reason He gave us these laws can be summed up this way. Love your neighbor as you love yourself Matthew 19:19. Don’t do anything that would hurt your family or your friends.
Love your enemies and do, good to those who hate you. Luke 6:27. It is not enough to just love your friends, love your enemies as well. Hate is not acceptable in the Kingdom of God, and if anyone calls himself a Christian and hates, or abuses anyone, or is haughty, is in deep trouble with God. God is love, and nothing will ever change that. Jesus came from Heaven, since He was and is the Son of God, and died so that we could be reconciled with God. However, it is our choice whether we reconcile with Him. He has given us a free-will. We have the option to allow Him to reign in our hearts, or to go it on our own. We choose. So if we are blaming God for our decision, it’s not His decision to make. He will love us whether we believe in Him or not, but He will also judge us for our decision. Those who trust Him and accept Him as their Savior will be with Him, and those who don’t won’t.
We have discussed those practices which God says will hurt others. We will now see about those which hurt ourselves. Some of them are the same: Adultery, fornication, lying, homosexuality, self-righteousness, and idolatry. Each of these practices leads to self-destruction in that we run the risk of death and disease when we practice them. Do we still believe that STD’s and Aids are not the result of our moral laxity, or that we can escape the pain caused by someone who cheats on a wife or husband? The explosion of murders and broken homes is staggering in this nation. We have become a nation which has more one parent families than any other industrialized countries in the world. We have more hungry children than many countries. There is no excuse for this, but we have chosen which path we will travel, because we desire to be a people who want to be free of all constraints. We may have what we want, however, be ready for the consequences.
Consequences, now that’s a word that most of us hate to hear about, however, whether we like it or not, consequences will follow our actions. We are the victims of our decisions. If we make good decisions and do what is right, we will reap the rewards.
If we make bad decisions, and do what is wrong, we will also reap the rewards. I hate to tell you this, but those rewards will not be good for us. In 735B.C. when Israel was the northern kingdom, and Judah was the southern kingdom, Hosea wrote these words I chapter 8. I will start in verse 5-7. Throw out your calf-idol, O Samaria! My anger is against them. How long will they be incapable of purity? They are from Israel! This calf,
a craftsman has made it; it is not God. It will be broken in pieces, that calf of Samaria.
They sow the wind they reap the whirlwind. The stalk has no head, it will produce no flour. Were it to yield grain foreigners would swallow it up. In 722 B.C., The ten northern tribes were destroyed and Israel was transplanted to the regions known today as Iran, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Russia. Because of God’s grace a remnant was saved. Those who are a part of that remnant have only recently returned to Israel.
Is America on a path to destruction because of the actions and beliefs of her people? What kind of Idols do we serve?
Israel decided to worship Molech rather than God. Part of that structured religion revolved around the sacrifice of children. The children would be killed, then placed upon an altar and burned as an act of worship. The culture of death pervaded the fabric of the culture. Everything is centered on the next death so that Molech might live.
This has also become a part of our culture. We offer up our children as a sacrifice to the altar of the abortionist, we allow people to be euthanized if they no longer are productive, and we allow those who become “too infirmed” to be left unfed, and without water, or medicine, until they die. What, or who will we offer up to Molech next?
God is the one who gives life, not death. He creates, and recreates each one of us. He restores us and makes us whole. Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood, had the formula worked out this way: Only those individuals who are perfect in body, mind, and spirit, are worthy of living. Anyone who was not perfect was to be eugenically altered, or obliterated. Her concept was called the master race. Hitler followed her plan to the letter. Anyone who was not a part of the Aryan race, or German was inferior. Sanger pointed out that anyone who didn’t meet her requirements should be euthanized, or made a eunuch, serving the master race. Her plan included the extinction of any race other than white, because she believed that the white race was, by nature, superior to any other race. Now we are engaged in a social civil war over the value of a human life. It is the same war that has been going on since Margeret Sanger wrote her tracts in the 1920s, 30s and 40s. The climax of the war came in 1973, when Roe Vs. Wade was declared a valid law. The war has continued, and still continues, which is seen in the battle over funding abortion in the healthcare bill. The battle is not concluded, just paused until another venue comes along where the two sides will square off again. The culture of death is one which is tough to contain. Once a culture of death emerges into the forefront, it rarely retreats, or surrenders. Life is tenuous at best when we allow the culture to embrace death, because when death comes knocking every age group and every segment of society is vulnerable, especially the poor, the minority, and those with handicaps.
But what does this have to do with diversity and culture? The connection is the culture of death is also prevelant in our attitudes toward those who disagree with our philosophy. Like Mao, Stalin, Hitler, and Castro, those who disagreed died, and those who were not socially, physically, or politically perfect, died at the hands of the “perfect” ones. History is littered with cultures dying because those who conquered them “cleansed” that culture of anyone who did not fit their pattern. America has not seen this kind of cleansing since the cleansing of the Indians in the 1880s, amd 1890s. That was our worst moment, because many Indian agents gave the Indians diseased blankets, poisoned food, and many other killing objects. Margaret Sanger, in her handbook, “Women and the New Race”, wrote that
” The most merciful thing a large family does to one of its infant members is to kill it.” In her book, Pivot of Civilization, she wrote; On Blacks, Immigrants, and indigents; Human weeds, reckless breeders, spawning…human beings who should have never been born.” Unfortunately, Planned Parenthood, founded by Margaret Sanger, has not altered their founders plan to eliminate the minority races, the poor, or the immigrant. In fact, Planned Parenthood sees teenage women so that they will have future business from the same women. Their philosophy is to get them early and you have them hooked. Abortion then become birth control. Abortion is just another way of avoiding consequences. If you can get rid of the mistake, then the guilt of the action will go away. Unfortunately it doesn’t work that way. The guilt remains whether the problem goes away or not. It just eats you up as you continue to live out your life.
This American culture of diversity tht we see today is not about diversity, but about shutting down anyone who opposes what someone says, especially politicians, and college professors and teachers. Classrooms and political rallies are the epitome of nondiversity. Oh yes, the makeup of the room contains people of every ethnicity, but dare to say something against what the professor, teacher, or politician says and the excoriation is intense. It seems that we have become so caught up in ourselves that any opposition is seen as a personal attack. Defense mechanisms are a dangerous thing in the hands of some people, and if you are on the wrong side of that system, watch out foe your head. Diversity once meant that there were many groups involved in something, and they were able to get that project done without difficulty. Now it means everyone has to agree with the one who is the project leader, or else. That is a corruption of the term diversity, and it is time to put a stop to the corruption of diversity and go back to the original intent.

I wonder if Khalid Sheik Mohammad will get a trial of his peers when his trial begins in New York. If the constitution is correct, they will have to have 12 terrorists in the jury box. I suppose that might be a stretch of the legal system, however, it does bring up a sticky legal question. I’m sure there are plenty of terrorists around if the prisoner’s lawyers have their way. Since we are so willing to give enemy combatants the same rights as American citizens we had better make provision if the jury finds them not guilty, or they get off on a technicality. One can never assume anything where justice is concerned. It seems almost fairy-tale-like when we look at the whole framework that has been put in place in New York. Attorney General Holder has set in motion a story which will end in one of three ways. Either someone will assasinate the defendants, and thus bring about a full-fledged attack by every radical Islamist group in the world, the defendants will be found guilty, and go to prison, and possibly die quietly, or they will be found guilty by a compassionate jury, and be sentanced to time served. That would spark a wholesale riot by American citizens. Fairy tales have a moral to them. The moral to this story is this; Never bring a terrorist to a party, and certainly don’t let him wonder off by himself. The moral to this story, however, is never bring a terrorist, found on a battlefield, to trial in a civilian court. This party is one which the Obama administration will have to take responsibility for. They will have to keep the party safe for the guests. It woul not look good if something happened to a guest at their party. However, with the track record the Obama administration has had with uninvited guests showing up I have my doubts as to whether they can keep any party safe. Time will be the factor, and the lawyers for the defence have a game plan which includes having a long running party, with many guests, and the most expensive food and drink. It will look more like a banquet for a Persian King than a trial, expensive, and expansive. Ultimately it will cost the taxpayer many millions of dollars to give this party, and the boisterousness of the party will soon have a grating effect on those who must watch the party, and have to pay for the party, but don’t get to attend. Even some within the party will soon feel the effects of the boisterousness of the special guests.The length of the party and the tone of the party will have consequences for those who invited everyone to the party, and soon they will have to answer to the police when the loudness and the rambunctiousness of the special guests becomes a stumbling block to those who desire to go to bed. The police are the voters who have had enough of the noise, and the nonsense. They will only put up with so much, and then they will throw everyone who brought the party to their neighborhood out of town. Then they will set the agenda as to how parties are done in their town. The sound will subside, and the levity will be reigned in. The facts will win the day, and order will be restored. The verdict will be fair and just, and the sentance will be carried out.
When the citizens are able to gain back control of the party, they respond to the crisis at hand, and complete the process without all the fanfare that those who were the party givers ever could. The party will end, everyone will go back home, and quiet will return to the town. Hope is eternal.

In my monthly newsletter I wrote about the determination of some to destroy the inner beauty that our forefathers placed within the governmental system. The Declaration of Independence offers a solution which most citizens would not ascribe to. One section of the declaration even asks the question of when we should act and when we should not act. ” governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, that whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it, and to institute a new government, laying its foundation on such principles, and organizing its powers in such form as to them shall seem most likely to affect their safety and happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that government long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience has shown that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are unsufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government and to provide new guards for their future security. It will take a concerted effort to shake off those Senators and Representatives who have usurped power from us, the grantors, and consentors from whom they receive their power. The governed have the right and the duty to bring this corrupt and immoral government back under the control of the citizens of this great nation. There must be a return to the constitutional government which made this nation great. That may mean a clean sweep of the whole congress. It will also mean that we, the people, gather our forces and make our government listen to what we have to say. It may take some radical steps, such as; pounding the pavement, and the halls of congress, as well as the White House, barraging them with our presence in every form imaginable. I am not talking about violence or mischief. This nation iwas not founded on the principle of overthrow of government, and we will not tolerate that now. We, the people have the power to change this nation into a constitutional republic via the voting booth. We also are able to keep the voting booth from becoming a voter fraud booth. It will be incumbant on all of us to keep groups like ACORN and their confederates from getting a foothold in our communities. We will need to be watchmen on the wall, looking out for the neighbors, and our community. There is no place in this nation for those who would rob us of our freedom by stealing an election, no matter what party they belong to. If public officials sanction people who defraud the vote, we have an obligation to throw the bums out on their ear. We need to shout this from the roof tops that we will not tolerate this kind of behavior. We must get involved in the system, and stand guard over our rights. In some public schools the term 0 tolerance is the rule, we need that same rule when our freedom and liberty are being usurped by a group, or our government. Keep your eyes open and your ears to the ground, because this election will be the turning point in this nation. If we allow it to become a despotic power play, we will be the victims rather than the victors. Let us not allow that to happen.

I was listening to a news program yesterday and heard a strange thing. A captain of an ocean cruiser found a giant patch of garbage floating in the ocean between Hawaii and California. It was mostly plastic and had come from the beaches of Hawaii. Isn’t it odd that more hasn’t been said or done by the environmentalists to prevent this from happening? This is a serious matter which can destroy the Pacific Ocean through the destruction of all marine life. As fish and whales ingest the plastic, it disrupts their digestive system, and could get tangled up in their gills and starve them of Oxygen. The plastic leeches chemicals into the water because of the salt and destroys the plankton which feeds the fish and whales, and therefore could deplete the ocean of all fish and animal life. If we are not more careful about picking up after ourselves when we are at ocean beaches, our oceans might just become empty, and our food supply endangered.
I am not a radical invironmentalist by any stretch of the imagination, but I’m not stupid enough to believe that we can carelessly do whatever we want and not have consequences. If we continue to treat our oceans and rivers with comtempt by throwing our garbage in them, we will reap the consequences of our actions. The third law of motion by Isaac Newton says it like this; to every action there is always oposed an equal reaction; or the mutual actions of two bodies upon each other are always equal, and directed to contrary parts. The first part is the beach partier who throws his/her plastic beer can holder, or plastic bag on the beach. They forget it and the tide comes in and takes the plastic pieces into the ocean. A fish swallows it thinking it is food, and that piece gets caught in its digestive tract. Some other predator eats the fish and the plastic is now inside the predator, and they both die because of one piece of plastic. If that happens often enough, the food chain will reach a critical mass and die. We are at the top of the food chain. What happens if our food is contaminated because the plastic from the beach ends up in a fish we eat. That is the equal and opposite reaction. The cycle of the food chain is one which we can control by carefully taking care of our beaches. I’m not out to kill your fun at the beach, but it behooves us all to take care of our resources. We never know when they might just come back and bite us somewhere.

It seems that we have, in our seat of government, a renewal of an old perspective concerning the governance of this nation. Plato wrote in his book; Republic, that governance of the state is only good if those who govern have justice as the center of their philosophy. We, in this nation have come full circle, if we settle on Plato’s definitions of government. We began under a tyrannical king, Georgelll of England. We then became a confederacy of states, somewhat like the city-states of ancient greece. Each state had its own government with a small central government that arbitrated between the states. Then we became a republic, which has endured for 233 years. That republic has seen changes that have led to an oligarchy/timocracy form of government. We have seen the elite, and the wealthy become the power brokers, and the ruling class wherein our society has become more and more unjust, and socialist in nature. We have now seen the transition of our government into a full-fledged oligarchy in that we have a congress which sees itself as the true arbitor us our welfare, whether it is lawful or not. As a government, we have strayed so far from the original intensions of the founding fathers that it is hard to recognize it. The Progressive movement, since the beginning of the 20th century has worked at destroying the very constitution and bill of rights that allowed them to become a governing base in our nation. The very thing Plato warned about has come upon us. The next step in the process has already shown its ugly head. That atrocity for which our founding fathers fought the revolutionary war has surfaced again. Tyranny has become the pattern by which this legislature has gained its victories this session. The corruption, deceit, and gross misconduct of Senators and Representatives, as well as the Executive branch of our government, is the epitome of evil, and the outright lies being told the citizens of this nation has become a stain on the whole nation and is unconscionable. There is no attempt at even hiding the tyrannical nature of the evil, as Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid have shown their comtempt for the citizens of this nation. It is truly embarrassing to turn on the TV and see these two standing in public spraying their lies and deceptions across the viewing audience. It is time to bring this to a screeching halt.

The signal fires are burning. The laws are on the books. Washinton DC is rancid with the stench of corruption. It seems inevitable that life in America will change under the auspices of the Democratic Congress. If the health care legislation passes, and we move on to Cap and Trade, the immediate impact will be the strangulation of all freedom and liberty in our beloved nation. We have weathered many storms over the 223 years this nation has held sway over the lives of its citizens. It is like many other things in this nation that have changed over the last year, as the foundations of liberty came under attack. We are faced with the greatest challenge of this century, and the previous one. The very fabric of our government has been altered from a government of the people, for the people, and by the people into an oligarchy controlled by Senators, Representatives, and a President who has a plan to abolish the constitution, and the bill of rights. The very soul of this nation is being ripped out, and replaced with a government-run-machine, with tentacles that grow with every law and executive order that is uttered from that filthy body. As the laws and orders change so does the climate of hopelessness, and inevitability that we are a nation on the brink of disaster.
If nothing changes, we will not see another year of freedom and liberty. Time is not on the side of the people, as long as there is no voice to speak out against this tenacled beast. The beast must be slain before the strength and courage of the citizenry is sapped. 2010 is the year of living dangerously for those who oppose this government takeover of our Republic. The legislature must be cleaned out and replaced with common folk who will listen to the constituents. There can be no retreat and no surrender in this battle for the soul of this nation is at stake. This government is supposed to reflect the will of the people first, then the local and state government, then the leftovers are to be in the authority of the federal government. Those in office now want that form of government turned around. They want the federal government to have all control. That is why they want to have universal voter registration, with them in control of who gets to vote. They want every person, whether they are a citizen or not to be able to vote, swelling the ranks of Democrats on the voter rolls. That is why they think they can get away with everything they aare doing now. They don’t think they will lose the election if they pass the universal voter law, thereby continuing their oligarchy, and their push toward a Socialist government. If the next election is lost by the people. we are going to see the destruction of this nation. The inevitable that we fought against will take place, if we fail.

We are the citizens of the last free nation on Earth. Who will speak for us? As of now we are even subjected to the onslaught of injustice from the ICC. The International Criminal Court now has the power to investigate, arrest, and prosecute any American citizen without any interference from our government. Thanks to an executive order by President Obama, we are now governed by the UN. Our sovereignty has been eradicated by executive order. Who will speak for us when we are arrested for our views on global warming, or our actions such as Tea Party gatherings. Will we be arrested for writing something which is inflammatory or politically incorrect concerning a Muslin, or a green movement? If interpol is able to come into the United States without conditions, what kinds of crimes will they seek out? President Reagan allowed Interpol to come into America, but ruled they had to have permission from the government. Obama has changed that to an unrestricted access to America’s soil. He signed the order over the holidays.

There is an uneasines that comes with the prospect of having Interpol be able to investigate and arrest any citizen for international crimes. Since the bill of rights does not apply out side the United States, it will be interesting to see how this operation will work. There is always a troubling aspect whenever our sovereignty is under attack, because we are a people who have never been under anyone else’s rule. We have been sold down the river by a President who sees America as the enemy of his agenda. A strong America must be destroyed and merged into the rest of the world because we must become one cog in the new world government. As long as America is a sovereign nation, the new world order cannot move forward. We are the last strong nation, and one which has a history of independant, free citizens. We are now supposed to bow down before the alter of the great universal government and become citizens of the world. If President Obama has a chance, this nation will become one piece of the world pie, our constitution will be declared invalid, our bill of rights will be null and void, and we will be under the UN charter, or a charter similar to the European Union charter. We, as citizens of America, will be stripped of all freedoms we now enjoy, and will be subject to a one world government wherein we will become subject to the laws of the rest of the world.

We will become a nation without any position but will pay for the right to exist through blackmail and taxes. We will notonly be taxed by our government, but the world government will get its cut. We have already seen the seeds of this in the Copenhagen treaty.

Since Obama could not get us into the Copenhagen treaty, or the Cap and Trade legislation he is changing his tactics. Allowing Interpol to come into the United States unrestricted also allows the UN to have authority to investigate since Interpol is the UN police force. Since the UN is not favorable to America, the possibility that Interpol will investigate in an unbiased way is questionable. I see the possibility of unsubstantiated charges being investigated and our national laws being set aside. Since Interpol investigations have priority over our laws, we are in a fight for our very lives. Obama can do a lot of damage to our sovereignty in four years. Just look how much damage he has done in one. That transforming he talked about is becoming a frightening reality.

Thank God our hope is not in government. It is not in President Obama, nor is it in any man. No matter what happens in this world, we can have peace. As we confess that Jesus is Lord of all, and Lord of us, we have already gained victory over this world. Jesus said; in this world you will have trouble, but do not fear, I have overcome the world. As He has overcome the world, when we trust Him, we also have overcome the world. Do not fear, Jesus leads us through the valley of the shadow of death, into green pastures, beside the still waters. He sets a banquet table for us in the midst of our enemies. On that table are gifts and fruits which heal our body, restore our soul, and restore our spirit. He fills us with everything we need to get us through the valley. Allow Him to become the Good Shepherd and lead you to the green pasture and beside still waters. He speaks for us, and protects us. Even when we are in the midst of trouble, He is holding us in His arms. Do not fear, do not worry, just believe.

We see her carrying her torch, ever vigilent, ever watchful in the night. Lady Liberty serenely moves about with Grace and Truth coming along side her tall, magnificent frame. She seeks out those who will stand with her as she guards the nation from destruction. With Grace and Truth holding her up with their strong arms, she cries out, like Paul Revere, riding through the countryside yelling out to the minutemen that the British were coming. Her voice is determined, and her strength is unabated as she and her companions thrust themselves into the night warning all that great danger is coming for those who believe in what she stands for. As a weary nation looks on in a state of beleaguered delirium from the onslaught of diffident speeches and complication of simple legislation. Truth comes in with a simple solution, those in power don’t listen, and Lady Liberty marches on into battle with her small army of committed soldiers. The disillusioned ones have fallen by the wayside. The sunshine soldier cuts short his stay in the army fighting for liberty.

With dispatch, Lady Liberty trudges toward her goal. She sounds a new alarm. Come join in the salvation of the nation. Time is of the essence, and the enemy is storming over the ridge. We must not lose the battle. We are fighting for the rights of every man, woman, and child. If we lose this war, we will have lost our freedom of thought, and the freedom to determine our own destiny. We will be in a perpetual nanny state, with our father, the government, telling us what is good for us, because we are too stupid to think for ourselves, according to them.

The enemies of Lady Liberty also were fighting against Truth, and Grace. Those fighting against liberty cared nothing about truth, and grace was not in their vocabulary. The viciousness of their attacks against anyone who desired the triumvirate of liberty, truth, and grace was equal in every way to the Inquisition. There was a great fear that arose within the hearts of the citizenry. However, in spite of the fear, there was a remnant who were loyal to the principles of freedom, justice, and liberty. They fought valiantly, and brought glory and honor to the soldiers fighting for liberty and truth. Who were these men and women? They were patriots, seekers of truth, and the blacksmiths forging a new nation out of the established order by gaining influence over the downtrodden and the huddled masses. As a restoration and a renewing of hope and trust come back to those who had lost it, new heroes emerged, and more battles were won. The fight was long and hard, but as victories came a rebirth of imagination and a solid foundation was established. The old constitution, and the bill of rights reemerged as the law of the newly occupied land. Freedom was established and soon a whole new system rose up to supplant the old. Together we fight, and together we will see the fruits of our labor; that was the slogan that pulled everyone together.

Along with renewing the old constitution and the bill of rights came a realization that God had been standing beside them from the beginning, and was still leading them like a good shepherd. The renewal of the spirit was quickly spreading throughout the occupied lands. The seeking after truth that had been a hallmark of the first group of heroes continued in the succeeding groups, and spread far and wide as hope was renewed in every community. A new reformation aand renewal of the gospel spread like wildfire, and nothing could stop its effect. A renewed nation was born again, and those who are a part of it are winning both the minds and the hearts of their countrymen/women/children.

If this fight comes today, are we ready? What are we willing to fight for? A revolution of the spirit is foremost in importance in America today. The fight for freedom, liberty, truth, and grace, begin with a new heart, or the fight is lost before it is begun. Freedom is first a condition of the heart, then it is expressed in our thoughts and actions. we must change the condition of the heart, then liberty, and freedom will be contained within the structure of common sense, and self control. This is something that is sorely lacking in Washington DC today. Corruption and tyranny come from a heart that is without restraint, and out of control. Yet, those who are corrupt desire to control others. If a man cannot control himself how can he possibly control others. Corruption destroys a nation, and we are seeing that happen right before our eyes. We must change the condition of our heart. Allow God to bring peace and self control into our lives. Yes, I am talking to me too. We are in the midst of ordeals and trials, but nothing is impossible for God, and all we have to do is ask, and believe that whatever we ask will come to pass, and it will. Government is not a god, and never will be. It cannot take His place, or supplant Him. He makes kings, and pulls them down. allow Him to do His work. Do not allow anyone to take God from you, or deny Him, and He will reward you. That is a decision each of us will have to make. God is who He is, and nothing will change that.

What did you leave under the tree for your children? How long will they use them before they put them aside? The best things we as parents can give our children is love, and blessing. I have found that giving my children a blessing, which consists of three things, they can go forward through the year knowing that My wife and I love them, and desire the best for them in the coming year.

The first blessing is one of peace. Speaking a blessing of peace over them brings about God’s peace, and that translates into an atmosphere of gentleness, peace, honor, and stability within the family structure. The second blessing is a blessing of health. This is not just health of the body but of the mind and the spirit. The blessing is one which commands that each family member walk in Divine health, wherein God brings the body, mind, and spirit in line with His word. God created us to be perfectly healthy. It was only after man sinned that sickness and other issues came into being. When Jesus died and resurrected, He reconciled us to the Father in Heaven. He also placed us back the way we were before we sinned, therefore we are able to walk in Divine health. We should have the blessings of Deuteronomy 28, and Psalm 91, as part of our everyday life. The last blessing is that our children prosper even as their soul prospers. When our children are growing up they rely on us for their sustainance. When they are on their own, they have to become responsible for themselves. This blessing is one of prospering in all things, not just money. Having a successful life is not about being rich, but it is about knowing who the source of their finances is. Each person who knows who their God is, and trusts Him to do what He says He will do, knows that He is the source of our success, and prosperity. The blessing is that God will sustain them no matter what conditions exist around them. His word says so. In Isaiah 44:1-4 it says; 1 And now, give ear, O Jacob my servant, and Israel whom I have taken for myself: 2 The Lord who made you, forming you in your mother’s body, the Lord, your helper, says, Have no fear, O Jacob my servant, and you, Jeshurun, whom I have taken for myself. 3 For I will send water on the land needing it, and streams on the dry earth: I will let my spirit come down on your seed, and my blessing on your offspring. 4 And they will come up like grass in a well-watered field, like water-plants by the streams. God takes care of His own.

These presents may not cost anything but they are more valuable than any gift they will ever receive. Our children deserve the best, and the best is a blessing said over them while they are all together at the holiday season. When we know who our God really is we can count on Him to protect and bless our children through us. Once our children receive the blessing, no one can take it away. What God has blessed no one can curse. The greatest gift is the gift of love, and that love is given each time we place a blessing from God over and in their household.

When one of my grandkids birthday comes around, we give presents galore. When mom and dad have a birthday, we give them a hug and tell them we hope to see them next year, and laugh. With the passage of this healthcare bill that hug and hope mean even more. We hope we don’t get sick, especially after we go on medicare. We hope our lives aren’t artificially shortened like in the movie soylent green, like John Galt in the movie 1984. Birthdays come around once a year, but the tragic thing is not the birthday but the consequences of going on medicare that bothers most people now.

All jokes aside, we are faced with a future that reaks of corruption and death on a large scale as the population of the medicare and medicaid crowd really grows as the sixties generation hits the age barrier. The population of the elders will double in 7 years or less. As we grow in years, we begin thinking about what might have been, but now we will have to ask the question; what will it be? I am reaching that age soon and i’m not liking the prospects of getting older in this day in age.

I am confident that we will remain active and well for quite some time, but I’m not anxious to pay more for health insurance so Nebraska and Louisiana can have a free ride. As an unemployed person, I don’t feel like having to buy health insurance, or pay a fine, or go to jail. That does not appeal to me at all.

It is a fact that we are an nation that is capable of many things. My hope is that we vote people in office who will repeal anything passed in this congress. We must take the senate and the house so that we have a solid majority, which is vetoproof. Then those congressmen must have a spine made of iron, and integrity which cannot be twisted. I don’t know if we have that many people in America with those qualifications. I would hope we do, or nothing will be accomplished. It is time to step up and be counted. I want birthdays to be fun again.
