From one Perry supporter’s heart

Today is a sad day for all of us who have supported Gov.Perry. I honestly felt that Gov. Perry was the best man for to lead our country. I still feel that way.

So, what now? I hate to ask that question. I wish I could go on defiantly supporting Gov.Perry, but in my heart I know that is not what is best for our country. We can not allow Obama to be reelected, and we must now work toward that goal.

Today we can cry, but tomorrow we have to move on. We have to unite. For me, I will take Gov. Perry’s advice and support Gingrich. I can’t say I’m thrilled to do so, but I feel that he is the best choice remaining.

Let us all pray for Gov. Perry today. I know this can not be any easier for him and his family than it is for us.

For all those in Texas: you are blessed; you have an incredibly honorable governor.

In the words of Todd Beamer, “Let’s Roll”! because of what Edmund Burke said:

“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing”.

He’ll be back. Hopefully, sooner rather than later.

wasn’t ready for him yet. I am saddened by that and can’t say I have any enthusiasm for any of the other candidates but all of them surely are better than Obama with maybe the exception of Ron Paul. I will pull the lever for whomever but am having real doubts that any can beat Obama of who is left. I really hope I am wrong and yes if Newt would work with Perry on the 10th amendment project I would be ecstatic!

picks Gov. Perry for his VP. I think we would all have a ton of enthusiasm then!

There is no need to stop supporting Perry. He will still be out there fighting for our country. I believe with you that the best way to do that is to stand by his side in supporting Gingrich. Perry did not have to endorse anyone. The fact that he has done so I believe shows his sincerity. I am encouraged to believe with Erick that Perry will be doing exciting things in a Gingrich administration. Bring it on!

    Dear *******

Today I am suspending my campaign for President.

Anita and I have been blessed by the many supporters who have believed in our conservative vision for the country.

Although I will no longer be on the campaign trail, I will continue to champion conservative principles: a Washington that is humbler with a federal government that is smaller, real tax reform that can spur economic growth, and a renewed commitment to fiscal discipline so the future of this country is not mortgaged on a mountain of debt.

As we return to Austin and the Texas I love, I am proud to continue as governor of this great state and will work every day to make Texas a better place to do business and create jobs for all Texans.

We cannot thank you enough for your generous support which enabled our campaign to champion these conservative values.

    God bless.

    Rick Perry
