Now, It’s Bobby Jindal’s Turn

During the evening on Tuesday, while most of us were probably watching the events taking place in various elections, President Obama’s administration ordered Governor Bobby Jindal to halt putting sand berms into place on the Lousiana shoreline.

How did Governor Jindal respond?

But Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, a Republican who has been critical of the Obama administration’s handling of the oil spill, decried the federal government’s move to curtail construction of the berms.

“We don’t have time for red tape and bureaucracy,” he said in his own news conference Wednesday. “We’re literally in a war to save our coast.” He added that he was “calling on the federal government to get out of the way.”

I’m glad to see this from Bobby Jindal. I’ve always believed the man had it in him…somewhere.

Does anyone have video-tape of Obama saying that the administration wasn’t planning to stop the leak, clean up the shores and provide jobs for the people of the gulf who are losing their jobs until he got a bipartisan response to passing cap-and-trade? If you do, this would be the perfect time for it.

      There’s always been something about Jindal that caused me to believe there is more to the man than meets the eye.

      I’m hoping that he finds a way to resolve this issue in the favor of the people of the state of LA.

        …he’s doing a nice job of fighting for the state’s interests on the oil spill.

        He had a drop-dead TERRIBLE legislative session this year. Some of that is excusable given the spill, but state government is too big and wastes too much money and he’s not taking the steps which need to be taken to fix it.

        I don’t think he’s a presidential candidate of any note. I think he’s a quality cabinet secretary for some Republican president.

      BP is the most capable to handle the situation and the individual states are more than well equipped and able to determine how protect their own shores and fix their own economies.
