The Third Lantern and the Issa Files: A Desperate Attempt to Hide the Truth

We’ve all seen examples of the complete disregard for the laws of this country that is often and frequently displayed in the actions of Democrats. From the POTUS on down, they have turned up their nose (quite literally) time and time again to any suggestion that they, as citizens of this nation, should be held accountable for their actions from a legal viewpoint. After all, laws are for commoners, not the elite. Laws are a mechanism used by the elite to keep commoners “under control”. If we were members of the elite, we would understand that the existence of the elite is for the sole purpose of accomplishing and achieving a predetermined agenda and no laws that might get in their way are to be honored or respected, and this is the ultimate of honorable service that anyone can provide to our society.

Given the reality that this type of mindset and mentality is repeatedly displayed in the actions of these “intellectual elites”, it really should not come as any surprise to us that members of the Democrat Party are actively and very viciously pursuing attempts to discredit Darryl Issa in any and every way that they can.

Behold!!! Behold the self-proclaimed wisdom of these elites! Behold their self-proclaimed honor and integrity! Behold their self-proclaimed fairness, justice and benevolence!

They have now established The Third Lantern, an organization brought to us by “a handful of liberal political operatives in California who are taking their anti-Issa passion to a whole new level, launching a nonprofit group, a website and even paid media advertisements aimed at undermining and investigating the rabble-rousing chairman”. Their new website, called the Issa Files, is reported to include over 100 pages of documents regarding Mr. Issa’s personal and business history.

The bottom line on this story is that Mr. Issa’s requests for information present a threat to the plans that liberals and progressives have for our country. What liberals and progressives do behind closed doors and in the dark of night is part of their covenant to the progressive agenda, so to speak. They don’t want those activities brought to attention of the general public. This is why these liberals are so vehement and adamant about attacking Mr. Issa personally. Undermine and discredit the threat, and they may avoid having the truth of their actions from being revealed.

We have to find champions for the laws of our country, rather than champions of political agenda.

May God provide more of our elected officials with the prudence and courage to stand with Mr. Issa in his investigations.

    According to the Politico article, The Third Latern, run by principals at SCN Strategies “declines to disclose how much is being spent on the effort or who is bankrolling it, telling POLITICO it is being paid for by ‘patriotic Americans who don’t want to see the potential of an ethically challenged congressional investigator run amok with McCarthyesque fishing expeditions.’”

    Let’s see who from SCN Strategies might be involved in the anti-Issa “The Third Lantern.” Could there be any self-serving connections to the Democratic Party or to major labor unions? SCN Stategies’ Ace Smith has worked seemingly exclusively for candidates for the Democratic Party. SCN Stategies’ Sean Clegg worked in crisis management for SEIU. According to a recent California Fair Political Practices Commssion (FPPC) report, SEIU is the second largest political spender in California politics, second only to the California Teachers Association (SOURCE: http://www.fppc.ca.gov/reports/Report31110.pdf, page 10, “The 15 That Spent $1 Billion to Influence California Voters and Public Officials”). According to OpenSecrets.org data, SEIU has also been the largest spender in national 527 committee campaigns (SOURCE: http://soquelbythecreek.blogspot.com/2010/10/big-spenders-behind-scenes.html).

    One can but hope that The Third Lantern and SCN Strategies will be as interested in transparency about the Obama Administration as they are about Congressman Issa.

    Here is what worries me.     Seeing as the group includes “political operatives in California” and even a former Hillary Clinton hand, could these not be the same people that attempted to institute one-party rule in California when they spent millions to pass Proposition 27? Fortunately for Californian’s, Proposition 27 failed at the ballot box.

    So, who where the big-money, well-connected funders of Proposition 27? The list includes a variety of out-of-California billionaires like Peter G. Angelos, Fred Eychaner, and George Soros. The list even included a few California billionaires like Haim Saban–a major contributor to the Democratic Party–and Stewart Resnick. Nearly all the Prop. 27 funders were also major contributors to the Clinton Foundation, some giving over $10 MILLION. Sure, it might just be a coincidence.

    The “political operatives in California” that supported Proposition 27 also included prominent national politicians like Nancy Pelosi and a variety of labor groups like AFSCME, SEIU, AFT, Carpenter’s Union, and Teamsters.

    Then there’s the matter of a group associated with Harry Reid. Much of the national press missed the fake Tea Party-sounding group working against Sharron Angle in the Nevada Senate race. The group, The Patriot Majority PAC, was spearheaded by Craig Varoga, who was formerly Harry Reid’s communication director. The group was funded by a variety of labor and casino money, including SEIU, AFT, MGM, and Harrah’s.

    If The Third Lantern and SCN Strategies don’t wish to disclose their funders, then I have to assume that they also have a hidden agenda.

    They will spare no expense or effort to destroy you. The House Leadership needs to keep on top of this. Obama has fired Inspectors General, made end-runs around Congress, acquiesced in the politicization of the Justice Department and generally made a mockery of the rule of law and the will of the people.

    this one first. around here. You deserve some Kudos for this. This exact subject was brought up by Rush this morning on my way to work. The Obama Administration must have some really big skeletons in their closet that they do not want anyone to see if they are going to such extreme lengths to attack Issa.

    We need to stand by Issa in this matter. Frankly, I could care less about Issa’s past, what I care about is what he will do to investigate one of the most corrupt US administrations in history.

    what we have been able to see on the surface is only the tip of the iceberg!!! Just imagine what really does go on behind those closed doors.

    You know, I hear a lot of people talking about how much we should be focusing on the fiscal issues. I agree with this for the most part because it is absolutely necessary for us to do it. But if we can’t find a way to rein in the corruption and lawlessness, then what money the government collects in the form of taxes will still be spent in a reckless and abandoned manner on things that hurt our nation in the long run rather than build it up and make it stronger.

    I’m in Issa’s corner 100% in what he is attempting to do. If our elected officials aren’t willing to act honorably regarding the laws of our country, then it is time that they be held accountable on one way or another.

      On a related note, the Republican Senators who voted to confirm Secretary Timmy the Tax Cheat Geithner should be ashamed of themselves. They all failed to demand the same high standard of conduct by administration officials that we demand of every other American citizen.

    The irony here is, these are all connected together at some point. This is not a series of independent acts. This is a series of coordinated actions taken by those who have developed an overall plan to accomplish their missions.
    Sooner or later, they will be exposed & so too will those who have enabled them, covered for them, distorted their goals, and lied about their ultimate plans & activities.
