Biography
“David Fenton has turned leftist activism into big business with his firm Fenton Communications, the single most easily identifiable nexus of anti-consumer activism in Washington, DC. Fenton and his staff masterminded the mad cow scare campaign, the organic marketing craze, the phony Alar-on-apples food scare, and more. He’s very good at what he does, and groups like the Center for Food Safety, Greenpeace, the Natural Resources Defense Council, the Organic Consumers Association, and SeaWeb are all happy to pony up big bucks to give their radical messages the Fenton touch.
Fenton started out in the music biz, directing public relations for Rolling Stone. He entered the activist fray in the anti-nuclear movement of the late 1970s, co-producing the 1979 “No Nukes” concerts headlined by Bruce Springsteen and Bonnie Raitt. From there, he went on to found his own activism-centered PR empire, Fenton Communications, in 1982. Within that umbrella are “three independent nonprofit organizations” all co-founded by Fenton: the Death Penalty Information Center, New Economy Communications (an anti-globalism outfit), and Environmental Media Services.”

“Fenton’s first big publicity coup came in 1989, when his firm launched an attack on Alar, a chemical used by apple growers to keep their fruit fresh and crisp prior to market. Using the Natural Resources Defense Council as a foil — NRDC was already a Fenton client — Fenton leaked a damning (but false and unsubstantiated) report on Alar to CBS News. The report had not undergone scientific review, and was not based on human exposure to Alar. Nevertheless, Fenton and NRDC concluded that Alar caused cancer, particularly in children. CBS jumped at the release and aired a feature on “60 Minutes.” The nationwide panic that followed devastated apple growers across the country and forced Alar’s manufacturer to withdraw the product from the market.”

“The study was wrong. The accusations about Alar were groundless. Still, Fenton was unrepentant: “We designed [the Alar campaign] so that revenue would flow back to the Natural Resources Defense Council from the public,” he told his other clients in an internal memo later reprinted by The Wall Street Journal. “And we sold this book about pesticides through a 900 number and the ‘Donahue Show.’ And to date there has been $700,000 in net revenue from it.”

“Given that Fenton Communications also represented a host of organic and “natural” food producers (and still does to this day), perhaps we should forgive him for continuing to gloat about the success of his ploy. “A modest investment repaid itself many-fold in tremendous media exposure and substantial, immediate revenue,” Fenton wrote. “Lines started forming in health food stores. The sales of organic produce soared. All of which we were very happy about.”

“David Fenton has applied the “lesson of Alar” to many other campaigns since 1989. “Usually it takes a significant natural disaster to create this much sustained news attention for an environmental problem,” he concedes. But when the environmental “problem” is a sales drought for his commercials clients (or worse yet, a news drought for a food-scare group on his roster), you can be sure that Fenton Communications will find a way to create a high public profile out of thin air. Just don’t expect them to have any intimate relation with the truth.”

I couldn’t wait to hear the moderator ask about the Education Policies of both candidates last night. As soon as it came, I perked up and said, Okay, here we go!” I said it out loud to no one, as I watched the debate alone. This is finally where the fireworks begin and this is where McCains got the ammunition to go for the takedown. I was especcially pleased that Obama got to go first, the set-up was perfect.

And then, bam…nothing…gone. McCain dropped the ball. Here is the winning argument, but unfortunately, missed.

“We judge all men on their records and accomplishments. What they did with their lifes, how they handled their tasks and by how they have demonstrated their talents. It is especcially important with regards to this election. Senator Obama wants to spend and spend on Education. He claims his policy will absolutely work while my ideas of vouchers will not.

“Well, Senator Obama was given that opportunity with millions and millions of dollars donated by the Annenberg Foundation a few years back. He was given free reign to distribute that money for the sake of enriching our childrens educations, much the same way he talks about doing tonight.”

“Turns out that the voucher policy that I propose is working perfectly in DC. Also turns out that after a full evaluation by the Annenberg Foundation itself, an in depth 200 plus page report, shows that the Chicago Challenge, under Barrack Obamas lead was an astounding failure. They site lack of accountability, mismanagement of funds, and lack of oversight, among other reasons for this major failure. This is not my analysis, this comes directly from the ones who trusted their millions of dollars to Barack Obama (and William Ayers). These findings come directly from the foundation itself”

DONE. BAM. KNOCKOUT. Honestly, I was completely disappointed.

Tonight, at some point, McCain should say the following. He would undoubtedly solidify a victory…

*Throughout my career I have tried to conduct myself with honor and accountability. Along the way, I have met some people with sub-standard principles, I have seen some organizations with horrendous ethics and I have come across many policies with terrible agendas. My instinct was always the same, country first, these entities are not right for me nor for the American people.

There have been many people whom I’ve trusted and when I found out they were bad seeds, I walked away. There have been some entities in our government that I trusted, like Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, but when I dug deeper and found them to be dishonorable, I tried to reform the problems with everything I had. There have been organizations that I trusted, that I spoke for and that I believed in. One of those organizations was Acorn. And I know that Senator Obama, along with so many of us also trusted in them as well.

But it turns out that they mis-used our trust. The entire organization needs to be accountable for election and voter fraud and anyone found guilty should be prosecuted to the fullest degree that the law allows. I am asking Senator Obama to join with me and the millions of people who are outraged by Acorns fraudulent behavior. I ask him to join me in seeing to it that the organization is investigated and dismantled so that this may never happen in any election again.”

Below is an excerpt from 1965 written by Barack Hussein Obama I in the East Africa Journal giving his thoughts on a paper written by the African Government on the “Socialization of Africa”. He was chosen out of many to be published.

“This is the governments obligation: it should have come out with a plan in the paper to achieve this. The government recognizes that each pound saved can generate 3 pounds in both foriegn aid and assistance. Is not this the reason the government should tax the rich more so as to generate high tax surplus?”

“Theoretically, there is nothing that can stop the government from taxing 100% of income soo long as the people get benefits from the government commensurate with their income which is taxed.”

I hope to God this is truly paranoia on my part…

Suppose you didn’t believe in a capitolistic America. Your whole life was built around hatred for America. You’d like to see a large scale financial melt down. The likes that drive the entire global financial system into a tailspin. It would take creative planning over many years to accomplish this feat. You would have to use something that is in place and ready to destroy. Something which directly relates to our financial institutions. Say maybe the housing market. If you could create millions and millions of defaulted mortgages, the banks would collapse.

Throw into the mix thousands of poor people DEMANDING loans from banks and recieving them. Full scale collapse. But you would need some mighty persistence and the backing of an entire political party to keep this underwraps. There would have to be something in it for them to conspire UNKNOWINGLY with you. They would have to have their own agenda as well.

How could you ever take over the fate of the housing market? Maybe through lobbying the majority in power at Capital Hill under the guise of helping poor ameican citizens. This is just plain patriotic. But you would need cash and lots of it.

How could you ever sneak a pawn into the Oval office without real credentials or proven experince after the great fall?

You would need a great base of people on your side to back you up. Who? With the very same people who want their party in power and with, ridiculous as it may seem, the impressionable youth. How? Through schools, Seminary Schools, Religious Groups, voting organizations, the media. Thousands upon thousands of people. And the rest of your support will come from innocent citizens who are on your side by default because they are already rooted in your political party.

How do you finance such a venture? Grants. Billions of dollars in funding given to special interest groups, lobbying expenses and the like. But what do you do when the money runs out? Don’t worry, theres plenty of it, just recieve it in small increments. Lots of untraceable donations. They cant track it. Plus, the grant money just keeps rolling in and out also.

Where do you concentrate your efforts? Battleground states. Media outlets, Youth groups. (Most political grant money recipients from just one applicable foundation today are concentrated in battleground states with emphasis on all areas of getting yourself elected)

When do you do this? If voter fraud can work in your favor, you can also MAKE it work the opposite direction. Kerry was ahead in polling, but lost the election. Guess where? If he won, it would be Kerry against McCain today. Acorn?

But won’t we get caught? No. Just deny, claim its a race issue, talk in circles, act presidential. Stay cool. Look the part. Don’t waver and watch what you say. Your hidden behind the guise of giving grants to poverty stricken people. You’ve HELPED so many people, you look like a real good guy afterall. Don’t forget, we have the media in our back pocket too.

The cast of characters in the backstory are so woven together and easily spotted through all of the GRANTS that were distributed by Obama and Company. The people sitting on those boards, if you search who they are and where they are affiliated today, your head would spin. Heads of huge Seminary schools, charter schools, major media communication organizations. The list goes on with the very recipients themselves.

Headed by Bill Ayers to receive the money with power given to Barack Obama to dole out the cash. 49.2 million dollar grant with many matches from other entities. A staggering amount of money. Total failure. Here are a few of the findings from Annenberg Challenge Evaluation Reports…

“The failure of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge to achieve an overall effect on school development may be explained by the short comings in the design and implementation of the Challenge…partcularly the lack of accountability”

“Rather than concrete ends, it provided “a vision” and set of general principles for reform. It identified certain priorities, but offered little direction on how to address them”

“Instead, its “theory” of local self-determinism assigned responsibility for forming specific improvement goals which resulted in a substantial variation of the primary focus of school development”

“The challenge staff devoted much of its time to working with External Partners rather than working with individual schools. Mark Karlin and Associates today- One page website, looks like most has been removed. Offers services in Public Affairs, Media Relations, Issues Management, Advocacy Campaigns. Dug deeper…

Karlin is a gun control activist who owns and operates the progressive news website buzzflash.com. Karlin has written that, “Guns are fuel for the white males psychological disorder of power”. Buzzflash.com today is a website devoted directly to promoting Obama for president. Searchable archives on this website were removed prior to 2005.

3.Joyce Foundation- Obama 1994-2002. Grant recipient- Toledo Ecumenical Area Ministries.

“Toby Hoovers Ohio Coalition Against Gun Violence (OCAGV) is basically a coalition of two. The OCAGV operated in a basement of a church, Hoover was accepting grants as an anti gun lobbyist under this non-profit entity called Toledo Metropolitian Ministries.”
Doing business at the same address was the TMM-TEAM that describes itself as “a social justice ministry of 7 denominations working ecumenically to identify needs for systematic change and to plan and develop strategies and initiate projects to advocate justice and empower people.”

The Joyce Foundation gave $633,200 to Hoover between the years 2000 and 2004. and another $281,500 to TMM-TEAM.

Phil Helmuth at the final table, the self-proclaimed best No-Limit Hold-em player in the world, in a hand with a young talented internet poker player. Phil gets slammed on a stone cold bluff. Phil goes on tilt, naturally. Just like Obama last night and just like his final month of the campaign, Obama is ON TILT.

McCain is playing his cards right. He put Obama on tilt a few days before the debate with the help of Sarah Palin. Weren’t you all waiting for McCain to bring up Ayers? Just waiting with anticipation? Imagine Obama! McCain’s first answer pointed directly to Fannie and Freddie. A small taste. I know you all thought it would keep going. SO DID OBAMA!! I could see it. He was scared. You know he spent days practicing retorts to Ayers allegations. They musta gone over it a million times. He was anticipating it. Obama was on tilt. Their camp was on tilt. (The added proposal to bailout puts them all on tilt all over again.)

I’ve been hearing how appalled some people were over the comment “That One” delivered by John McCain. I have heard anger over a missed handshake. I thought it was probably the best thing that John McCain did last night and here’s why:

Obama’s character. Obama’s associations. Obama’s record. Would you shake hands with someone who started their career in the home of a known terrorist? I am sure McCain would love to say those words, but he didn’t have to. His actions told the whole story.

This card game is not over. McCain is holding pocket aces. The strategy of play before the river comes is the most important. He’s truly holding the best hand right now, he’s gotta be patient and go all in just when the exact timing is right. And I know it will come. I truly believe McCain will take the bracelet at the end of the game. And as for Hellmuth in that particular event, well, lets just say that Phil was blind-sided, went on tilt and never recovered. He was busted out 3 hands later. The guy never saw it coming.

I have a few questions and hope someone here can help. I am not very smart in these matters but this website has helped me understand so much and was very instrumental in allowing me to gain truthful insight with regards to this particular election campaign.

Please, be patient with me, my life up to this point has been selfishly centered around my own little world and venturing out into all of this has been quite an eye-opening life changing event.

My question that I need clarification on is about Capital Gains Tax Increase and Estate Tax increase that Obama argues for…

Do capital gains have any reference to 401K’s that normal MainStreet people own, have seen take a tumble and may actually need to be tapped into to make ends meet at this stage in the game? Does Barrack hold a platform of raising these taxes or is it just about taxing multi million dollar corporations? Which leads me to the next question…

If he is raising taxes on these big corporations at a time when they are drastically in need of capital, where will the extra moey come from? Will it come from raising the prices of the consumer goods that they sell and be passed to the average citizen? Will it come from payroll cuts that affect the average working family? Will it come from job cuts? I am not trying in any way to make a point, I am truly trying to understand the logic.

Does he propose an increased estate tax which will take money from a family whose income provider can not provide any more for his family because he is now dead? Does he seek to impliment this new higher tax when Main Street families are barely holding on with new tragic turmoil of the actual loss of husband or wife or parent added to their load?

I am sorry to bother you with these questions but I am truly trying to understand these things that I have never thought about in my 44 years. I guess, short-winded, what is Capital gains tax and Estate tax and how does it affect us as related to Obama’s plan?

This is a fantastic website for people who basically have the same ideals, values and insights on who should be our next President. The intellegence and well-versed diaries that are written here are incredible, brilliant and just plain insightful. It is a great pleasure to read these blogs and I for one have learned alot here, but, we are already SOLD. It is time to take some action with this.

I have read that the Obama campaign has been paying college students to infiltrate “Republican” and “Independent” blog sites and unleash Obama propoganda. Smart move. They are everywhere. Where are we? What are we doing? Blogging to each other, enjoying the rationality, but then?

The diaries on this site need to be read by Independent Voters, Hillary supporters, even Democratic websites. These diaries are invaluable to Senator McCain. These diaries need to reach these people, somehow and soon.

We need a plan. We need to join together somehow. We need to do this soon. Again, this site is the best for reading up on the travesties of a Barrack presidency, but WE ALREADY KNOW THIS.

Thoughts of an 83 year old man about the destruction of the United States
of America . Profound!

PLEASE READ EVERY WORD –

We have been told by the leaders of Islam, (the likes of Louis Farrakhan,)
the United States will collapse from inside itself.

We also know the terrorists plan years and years ahead on what they will do
to complete one of their acts of terror.

The destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers was the culmination of
plans made after the first attempt at destruction failed.

This plan involved the training of pilots to fly the airplanes into the
towers, the Pentagon and possibly the White House.

Coordination between the terrorists had to be planned far in advance and it
appears to me there were probably rehearsals and refining of the overall
plan.

The plan took years to bring it to fruition. It didn’t happen overnight; it
didn’t become the plan over a cup of coffee at Starbucks.

How better to bring about the collapse of the United States from within than
to bring about the destruction from the top down.

Remember the terrorists are patient, methodical and determined to do it
right the first time.

Now let’s examine this scenario.

We know about the uproar over Mitt Romney’s religious affiliation with the
Mormon church and the opposition to electing a Mormon to the Presidency.

Knowing this, can you even imagine what an uproar would come about if a
candidate was affricated with the Muslim faith?

In the 83 years of my lifetime there has been no President of the United
States , to my knowledge, been elected that didn’t claim to be a Christian.
If I am wrong, please correct me.

The question now arises, How does Islam get one of their own elected.
Answer: pass him off as a Christian. How do they do that?

Answer: plan years ahead and carefully choose the right person for the job.
Choose someone who is born on American soil, because that is a requirement
for qualifying for the office.

Send that someone to the best schools available even though his parents
divorce when he is a toddler and neither has the money to send him to the
highly expensive schools he attends.

beyond the Catholic school he attends after he has been chosen and the
refining begins. (Note it must be a male because women are not allowed to
rule in Islam).

Although his father is a Muslim, his mother an atheist and his step-father
also a Muslim, he is sent to a Catholic school after being removed from a
Muslim school.

Why would either of his parents choose Catholicism over Muslim or Atheism
for his education?

Remember, there has never been a President of the United States of America
that was not at least claiming to be a Christian.

After the candidate for the job of saboteur has been chosen and the
refinement process has begun the polishing must begin also.

He must be sent to an outstanding university and obtain coveted degrees and
honors.

As with all politicians he must begin his career in politics at the bottom
and work his way up by using his charisma and good looks that rock stars
possess.

He must run his campaign for the nomination of his party for President by
attracting some special interest groups like ethnic, gender and age groups.

This process of selecting someone to fill all these qualifications will take
more than a decade, it will require a generation, but remember, Islam is
patient.

Do we know anyone who fits this mold? Yes, I think we do. We know someone
running for the nomination of his party for President of the United States
of America who was born on American soil.

Remember, there has never been a President of the United States of America
that was not at least claiming to be a Christian.

After the candidate for the job of saboteur has been chosen and the
refinement process has begun the polishing must begin also.

He must be sent to an outstanding university and obtain coveted degrees and
honors.

As with all politicians he must begin his career in politics at the bottom
and work his way up by using his charisma and good looks that rock stars
possess.

He must run his campaign for the nomination of his party for President by
attracting some special interest groups like ethnic, gender and age groups.

This process of selecting someone to fill all these qualifications will take
more than a decade, it will require a generation, but remember, Islam is
patient.

Do we know anyone who fits this mold? Yes, I think we do. We know someone
running for the nomination of his party for President of the United States
of America who was born on American soil.

He was born in Hawaii on August 4, 1961 after the possession became a state
on August 21, 1959.

He attended public schools in Jakarta , Indonesia where his step father
returned after marrying Barack’s mother.

At age 10 Barack entered Punahou School , a private school, in Hawaii until
graduation from High School. He then moved to Los Angeles where he attended
Occidental College.

He entered Columbia University in 1983 and Harvard Law School 1991. Somehow
along the way he joined the Trinity United Church of Christ in
1988 and thus became a ‘Christian.’

(It is interesting to note that he was at either Columbia University or
Harvard Law School , far removed from the Trinity United Church of Christ in
Chicago , when he became a member).

He later moved to Chicago where he ran for, and was elected, to the Illinois
State Senate in 1996.

After serving 8 years in the Illinois Senate he ran for, and won, the seat
of Junior U. S. Senator from Illinois in 2004.

He has spent the better part of the last two years not being present to vote
or just voting ‘present’ on most legislative issues.

He has associated himself with people of questionable loyalty to the United
States of America for the last 20 years and has refused to disown any of
them although he has tried to disassociate himself.

from some of the things they have said and some of the things they have done
while maintaining his relationship with them.

Who is this young man whom I believe has been selected, groomed, polished
and refined by the patient Islamic extremists to accomplish the mission of
destroying the United States of America from within?

Who is this young man who gained all of this higher education and
accomplished all that he has claimed while the son of a single parent,
grandson of a middle class couple and step-son of a Muslim in Kenya , Africa ?

I believe Barack Hussein Obama, candidate for the Democratic Party
nomination as President of the United States of America , fits the mold
exactly.

I ask you to think about this.

If you were afforded the opportunity to jump into a time machine and appear in front of a twenty year old Adolph Hitler, would you go? If you were allowed to tote with you any gun of your choice, knowing what you know now, would you put a bullet right between his eyes?

You would of course change history. You would have prevented the slaughter of men, women and children. Human flesh burning in ovens would only be done in bad horror movies and Stephen King novels. You would be a hero, after all.

Sadaam Hussein is dead. The Iraq war happened. Sadaam Hussein is dead. Dead. His story has ended. Thank you Mr. Cheney. This is one more American who thinks you are a hero.

There must be another demented soul out there waiting to pounce on his prey. If history has shown us anything, all the way back to Ghengis Khan, he’s out there. Lurking.

We have an election to win this November. It is only the top of this Republican ticket that means anything. All lipstick and red heels aside, no matter how appealling, has to stay on the backburner. The focus is this P.O.W. who, out of the bunch, stands far above the rest. We must get that point out into the limelight or things can backfire real quick. This man really stands for something, why can’t that message be at the forefront?

Watching tv the other day I saw a woman yelling at a reporter about how her welfare check was not big enough to support her and her 3 kids. She was standing there, no apparent physical abnormalities, no speech problems and no missing limbs. She had gold hoop earrings on.

I read the other day how horrible it was that Palin’s church prays to save the gay people.

I continuously hear stories about how bad Bush and Cheney are for invading Iraq.

Saw a news article about Roe vs. Wade being overturned if John McCain gets elected.

Heard Oprah Winfrey doesn’t want Sarah Palin on her show until after the election. Also heard Oprah will only donate to black charities.

Watched demonstrators beating each other up because they have nothing better to do with their lives.

Heard about Sarah’s teenaged pregnant daughter, special needs baby, husbands DUI. Need I go on there?

I am a 44 year old small business owner out the middle of nowhere Pennsylvania. Raised a republican by Italian parents. I have always voted republican because that is what I learned to do. This year, I decided to step out of my box and watch the Democratic convention to learn about their ideals and give this Obama guy a look. The first thing I see is an Oprah wannabee in Mrs. Obama and I just couldn’t help but cringe. But I perservered and watched Hillary toot her own horn and scream about voting democratic but never gave me a real reason why. Still, I perservered. I made it through about 5 minutes of complete nonscence from our former sexually charged ex-president Bill Clinton. I could not bear to even listen to Biden. Then, the big speech from Obama…finally. I heard him speak about “the dream” and his opportunities growing up and being able to take advantage of scholarships and aid to go to the finest schools. Living the dream as a black man with a single parent. He made something of himself. Then he proceeds to talk about how great America was under the democratic leadership of Bill Clinton and how we must change and then he screamed with such passion, “ENOUGH”. It had occured to me that while he was enjoying these fantastic opportunities of being able to attend the best schools and prosper in America, I believe our Republican president, Ronald Reagan was in office. That was enough for me.
The only thing that I got out of wasting my time watching that garbage was that PARENTS ARE ALWAYS RIGHT!!!! I am proud to be casting my vote for Senator McCain and a woman who is my age and truly made something of her life, Sarah Palin.
