Why can’t Obama give details? I learned nothing new last night. Same old mumbo jumbo.

I loved watching O’Reilly last night on Fox.  I too have a master’s and don’t understand how we can cover 47 million people who can’t pay and drive cost down.  The numbers don’t add up.  Does Obama have an inability to tell the truth–to tell it straight?  The American people may not support it but give it to us straight–don’t try to play games with us.  Are Bill O’Reilly and I the only people who did not understand how this is going to get done?

Health and Human SVCs Sec says Americans and dying younger than other developed countries

I was watching Fox News this morning, and they have not posted a link to the video yet, but I heard her say that Americans and dying younger than other developed countries as a way to get support for Obama’s healthcare.  So I decided to look up statistics, to see if this is true.  Needless to say, it isn’t.  Here is a link to a map of life expectency estimates from the CIA World Factbook.

We are just about even with Canada, most of Europe, Australia, and Japan.  I then went to the Heritage Foundation which posts stats on mortality rates in countries with socialized medicine for cancers, and other diseases.

Personal Note:

I don’t understand why they have to rush everything through–yes I do–Working, tax paying Americans will get a whiff of the costs and come out against it.  I wish they would stop trying to sneak things past us and stop cramming bad laws and huge spending down our throats.  We are headed toward bankruptcy within the next year or two if this continues.  America, please wake up.

Here are a few of the facts:  Please go to the link to read the rest of them.

Fact No. 1: Americans have better survival rates than Europeans for common cancers. Breast cancer mortality is 52 percent higher in Germany than in the United States, and 88 percent higher in the United Kingdom. Prostate cancer mortality is 604 percent higher in the U.K. and 457 percent higher in Norway. The mortality rate for colorectal cancer among British men and women is about 40 percent higher.

Fact No. 2: Americans have lower cancer mortality rates than Canadians. Breast cancer mortality is 9 percent higher, prostate cancer is 184 percent higher and colon cancer mortality among men is about 10 percent higher than in the United States.

A Marxist in the White House? You Decide.

I looked up the Communist Manafesto yesterday and there are bullet points of how to make a nation Communist.  Here are a few:

*”A heavy progressive or graduated income tax”–We already have this, but apparently it hasn’t worked to keep people in their place enough, so we are getting more like Cap in Trade, Junk food taxes, Surtaxes to pay for health care ect…

*”Centralization of credit in the banks of the state, by means of a national bank with state capital and an exclusive monopoly.”  I’m ashamed that GW was the start of this one, but Obama is picking winners and losers strategically.  CIT is the largest small business loaner in U.S. and he is letting them go under because he wants them to.  Small business is part of what makes Americans free people.  You can easily go into business for yourself and they are the growth engine of the nation.  If they are taken out or really weakened people have no choice but to sign up for Obama care, Cap in Tax, and what ever else he wants.  The masses would be under control.

*”Centralization of the means of communication and transport in the hands of the state. “ This is the old ‘Fairness Doctrine’ that we thought would never come up again, but conservative talk radio shows are the loudest critics of this administration.  He and his supporters really want to shut them up.  They’ll be going after Fox News next.  You wait and see.

*”Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes”  This is the rise in Eminent Domain cases where the properties aren’t run down or a blight, but the government sees a way to make more money, and they just take peoples property.  Also the car dealerships that were shut down, not all of them were in trouble.  They shut down dealerships that were doing well and making money.  The reasons they did it are speculative, but I bet the opinions of those dealers especially Gretchen Carlson of Fox News morning show would be glad to tell you the reasons why.

*”Abolition of all rights of inheritance.” Death tax.  Yes kids you can work all your life, pay taxes on all your income, and your heirs have to pay taxes again.  No Obama said he is going to increase the tax on only wealthy people, but with all this spending, he’s coming for everybody.

It seems uncanny that the President would have a Czar that is a communist(Van Jones, Green Czar), a czar who is a socialist (Carol Browner, Climate Czar), ties with a domestic terrorist who got off on a technicality (Bill Ayers), and a mentor who is a communist (Frank Marshall Davis).

Here is a link to report about Frank Marshall Davis:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHfpSuCWsuQ

The media buried all of these connections, or down played them because they really liked Obama, instead of reporting the news and allowing Americans to decide based on ALL of the facts.  Wake up America.

More Cap in Trade

I don’t mean to go on and on, but I found a curious item on the http://www.whitehouse.gov/issues/energy_and_environment/white house web page under issues — environment about energy.  Here it is:

Our reliance on oil poses a threat to our economic security.  Over the last few decades, we have watched our economy rise and fall along with the price of a barrel of oil. We must commit ourselves to an economic future in which the strength of our economy is not tied to the unpredictability of oil markets.   We must make the investments in clean energy sources that will curb our dependence on fossil fuels and make America energy independent.

  • Breaking Dependence on Oil. Promote the next generation of cars and trucks and the fuels they run on.
  • Producing More Energy at Home. Enhance U.S. energy supplies through responsible development of domestic renewable energy, fossil fuels, advanced biofuels and nuclear energy.
  • Promoting Energy Efficiency. Promote investments in the transportation, electricity, industrial, building and agricultural sectors that reduce energy bills.

I’m looking at bullet point #2 and that sounds like the REPUBLICAN approach and in complete contradiction to Cap in Trade–we have to reduce carbon emmissions–policies.  Because that bill does not allow for increased production,  no new refineries, no new nuclear plants, no increased production of fossil fuels (COAL AND OIL).  Where does this guy really stand.  He says one thing and web site says another.

CAP in TRADE The biggest scam ever

It really kills me that people are for this.  I called my congressman John P. Sarbanes and told him my displeasure for his voting for this huge tax and that it was a scam.  I got a generic reply of how good this is going to be for us, create Green jobs, ect…  What a load of crap.  He did not address the costs being passed on to all Americans and the restriction of energy with no means to expand use of natural resources to give people relief.  Here the emails from him and my response.  All your comments are welcome.  Needless to say I have not heard back.

Sarbanes:

July 10, 2009

 Dear Ms. Bullock-hock:

Thank you for contacting me about climate change and our nation’s energy
policy.  I appreciate hearing from you on this issue and I welcome the
opportunity to respond.

After years of debate and study about the scope of the problem, root
causes, impacts and potential solutions, the Congress is taking historic
action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and prevent dangerous and
irreversible global warming.  Recently, the full House of
Representatives passed the American Clean Energy and Security Act of
2009 (H.R. 2454).  I must tell you that I supported this critical first
step in putting a new energy framework in place - one that is good for
the environment, reduces our dependency on fossil fuels and creates a
whole host of new energy jobs.

By developing a long term and sustainable energy strategy, we can
address economic, national security, and environmental policy priorities
in one fell swoop.  We can diversify our energy portfolio and end our
dependence on energy sources from volatile parts of the world.  By
revolutionizing our energy industry and becoming an exporter of clean
energy technologies, we will be able to maintain our competitive
advantage as a nation and ensure a prosperous future for our children.
Just as growth in information technology served as the driving force
behind the economic boom of the 1990’s, the development of clean energy
technology and green jobs will spur tremendous growth and offer
long-term relief to the American economy.

Although this is a major step, there is still much to be done.  The bill
must eventually be reconciled with Senate legislation. I am mindful of
the fact that many believe the bill is too aggressive; others believe it
is not strong enough.  The legislation is not perfect and I will weigh
your views carefully as we proceed, always looking to improve the final
product.  We have an amazing opportunity to hand our children a better
future and we cannot let that opportunity slip through our fingers. The
data supporting the existence of climate change is real and compelling.
We must act now and demonstrate the leadership and discipline to pursue
solutions that are based on science and will adequately protect
prosperity and health for generations to come.

Some of the major features of the American Clean Energy and Security Act
are to:

Invest in clean energy technologies and create green jobs
Cap and reduce greenhouse gases to levels that will prevent global
warming
Require utility companies to generate energy from renewable sources
Develop capabilities to capture and store carbon emissions
Provide support for development of electric vehicles
Support state energy efficiency measures
Advance smart grid technologies so electricity is delivered
efficiently
Provide consumer rebates for the purchase of energy efficient products

Again, I appreciate hearing from you.  Please do not hesitate to contact
me about other issues of concern to you in the future.

 Sincerely,

John Sarbanes

Member of Congress

I appreciate your response, but this Cap in Trade is nothing but a scam.
Carbon emissions will not be reduced because what is left of our
manufacturing jobs will go to India, China, or Mexico because they don’t
care about emmissions and will make it cheaper for companies to do
business.  This is just another way for you Democrats to get more taxes to
give to people who don’t want to work or illegal immigrants.  Working
Americans are tired of supporting people who don’t want to pull their
weight.  I got laid off from the mortgage industry 3 years ago from a $90k
/yr job.  I’ve had temp work that pays $10-16/hr since.  I have no health
insurance, and cannot find a job that meets my education background (I have
an M.B.A.) but I don’t feel that it is other tax payers responsibility to
support me.  I make a lot of sacrifices and make it work.  There are a lot
of bills that I can’t pay.  Maybe you should follow suit and not spend our
money that we don’t have.  The American people cannot afford this TAX or
government health care.  I don’t have not one extra penny in my household
and Cap in Trade is nothing but a way to take more of MY MONEY.  Please stop
thinking of ways to take more of American’s money and stay out of our
wallets.   We are sitting on enough natural resources that we don’t have to
import another drop of oil or natural gas, but for some reason it is being
kept locked up, and working Americans are being made to suffer, and
apparently you don’t think we are suffering enough.  Hopefully the person
that reads this has the nerve to actually show it to you.  Maryland’s energy
costs are already through the roof, If this passes I’m sure you will loose a
lot of votes, and certainly will not get any new ones.  Please stop
contributing to spending that will BANKRUPT our nation.  It’s like with your
children–sometimes you have to tell them:  NO we don’t have the money.
