Wayward Republicans need to be herded back to civilization

Want to see what is wrong with the Republicans in elected office? Take a look at the following table from Pew.

Republicans' Road to Ruin

Allahpundit has plenty more. But that table shows where the Republican party has been going wrong for the last 10 years or so. It shows the Republicans have been doing the wrong thing so long it might not be possible to recover. But I still think it’s worth trying to rescue the Republican party from its so-called leaders who have tried to turn it from the party of fiscal responsibility and economic strength into the “slightly less socialist than the Democrats party.”

UPDATE: We are the cowpokes we’ve been waiting for. Let’s ride!

Thanks to David Hinz for the youtube idea!

The MSM for the last 40 yrs.

I have figured our that the Republicans in our party who have lost their way, call them RINOs, Dem lite, whatever, are really Democrats-so why don’t they just come out and join that party? That is what is destroying our party. If we don’t have a party that has principles that are obviously the opposite of the Dems. what do we have?

You know when you’re swimming and playing in the surf with friends you know where you are in proportion to them. You keep them, say, ten feet to your left. But you have to keep one eye on shore so you don’t lose your bearings. Otherwise you can find yourself 100 yards or more from the part of the beach where you started from. I think this is what has happened to the Republican party. They forgot to look to shore and have lost their bearings. They know the Dems are to the left of them but they have both moved. Some of the Dems don’t realize they’ve moved as far as they have (Blue Dogs) or feel powerless to stop it now. Our struggle is to fight the tide (or rip current) and get them back where they were.

The wave is growing and will come crashing down on RINOs and Democrats alike.

If the grass roots surge is powerful enough, leaders will emerge.

The stats say what we already know (or at least suspect) yet it’s still stunning to see it.

GOP = ?slightly less socialist than the Democrats party.?

The statistics above clearly demonstrate the more liberal the potty gets, the fewer people are along for the ride. Colon Powell did not mention anything except popularity which is the goal of the Dumbocretins.

The “leadership” of the National potty does not want small government and lower taxes, to them politics is a popularity contest.

None of them has taken a stand against the constitutionally unqualified
pretendidunce. Nothing he has done is within Constitutional constraints.

If you hate the Republican party so much, that you’re going to use potty language about it, what are you doing to fix the situation?

is way beyond what I could do, I simply point out the corrupt folly of professional polticians from either political potty, the word potty comes from a New England accent on the word party. It also has another meaning which is purely coincidental.

They are weanies – THAT is the main problem.

that the media call “compromise”. Our party has greatly weakened itself by compromising with the Democrats. Republicans often agree to vote for Democratic bills in exchange for a few small concessions.

This is bribery, pure and simple. It makes it look like we want to be Socialists and that we don’t stand on a firm set of principles.

Thus, I propose the we simply vote no on EVERY piece of legislation that the Democrats introduce. No bribery.

This is NOT to say that we should not advance our own ideas, only that we should introduce bills without watering them down. If they don’t get passed, then at least the American people will get to see that there’s a real conservative alternative to the Democrat Socialist Party.
