It is naïve to believe Barack Obama was unaware of his own campaign team’s re-election strategies. Foremost, was preventing the Tea Party and conservatively oriented groups from raising money for advertising and discussing critical issues like unemployment, deficit spending and ObamaCare. Second, was ignoring those actually responsible for the attacks at Benghazi, Libya that killed four Americans. Being truthful concerning both issues would have compromised his election chances.

When reflecting on these two issues simply ask the following questions. Who benefitted the most from the IRS delaying tax exempt status prior to the election for the Tea Party and philosophically conservative groups? Who benefited the most by ignoring references to the Al Qaida inspired Benghazi attack? In both instances the answer is Barack Obama.

It was no coincidence conservatively oriented groups were deliberately intimidated, unfairly audited and purposely delayed in receiving tax exemption. We now know the IRS held almost 500 conservative groups in limbo since 2009 in anticipation of the 2012 election. That’s why they had little impact on the campaign.

Deceipt and cover-ups of the Benghazi attack were specifically designed to preserve the President’s narrative concerning Al-Qaida. During the election campaign we were constantly told that Osama Bin Laden was dead, General Motors was alive and Al Qaida was defeated. That’s why Americans were told that the attack was by demonstrators protesting an insignificant religious video rather than Al Qaida inspired and organized Islamic terrorists.

Has America’s timidity and ineffective response to domestic and international terrorism emboldened those who oppose democratic principles and freedoms? Were the Boston bombings simply another test of our government’s unwillingness to properly identify and counter radical Islamic Jihad?

The cowardly attack using bombs packed with nails and buckshot were specifically designed to kill and maim innocent civilians. Why did it take our President almost 24 hours to conclude it was an act of terrorism? Why cover up and deny swift and forceful response to murdering four Americans in Benghazi, Libya? Why designate Islamist Major Nidal Hassan’s murder of servicemen at Fort Hood, Texas, “workplace violence”.

Yes, Osama bin Laden is dead but Al Qaida, and the Taliban are alive and have America and other free nations in their cross-hairs. Reluctance to recognize radical Islamist involvement in terrorism represents dangerous weakness.

Evidence of their uncivilized activity is widespread. Palestinian rockets rain down on innocent Israel civilians. Ahmoud Ahmadinejad has vowed to annihilate that small nation. Syria is committing genocide against it’s own citizens and Iran is continuing development of nuclear weapons. North Korea has threatened a nuclear attack against America, Japan and South Korea. To our South, Communist Cuba and Venezuela are possible threats.

America also remains in increasing danger from radical foreign and domestic sympathizers. It is said that President Theodore Roosevelt spoke softly and carried a big stick. That is far better than a masterful orator who is weak, vascilating and unwilling to admit radical Islamic terrorism exists.

America is becoming unrecognizable. National pride, patriotism, morality, family values and religious faith are succumbing to socialist ideology. Secularists and Godless advocates are seeking to stifle religious liberty and constitutionally guaranteed freedom.
Government is legalizing drugs, teaching small children sex and providing eleven year old girls abortion medication without parental notification. Having children out of wedlock and same sex relationships are in vogue.

Opportunity, ambition and work ethics have been replaced by government dependency and a “what’s in it for me “ syndrome. Programs designed to temporarily assist the indigent are bribing, enhancing and encouraging political support from those who willingly tender votes and allegiance for “free stuff“. Illegal foreign invaders will be rewarded with government handouts, citizenship and voting rights.
We borrow money from Communist China to finance overspending and trillion dollar deficits. Member contributions into Social Security and Medical Services have been spent and replaced by promissory notes. Unsustainable deficits continue without meaningful attempts to reduce unsound and dangerous impacts on future generations.
Our President seems intent on diminution of America’s military capability while external dangers seem extremely foreboding. Sacrificing our military superiority encourages friends to doubt our support and emboldens enemies to question our deterrent ability. Downgrading our space program requires America to pay Russia millions of dollars to transport our astronauts to and from our space station.

America has lost its way and bares little resemblance to the wonderful Nation willed to us by our parents and grandparents. When will we wake up?

No sound reason exists to alter the time honored institution of marriage in order to satisfy a group of homosexuals and lesbians. Rather, we should redefine same sex relationships as “associations”, provide equal legal protection and leave traditional “marriage” unchanged. It should remain limited to the union of one man and one woman and immune to governmental interference, Supreme Court dictates, politicians or a small but vociferous well-financed same-sex lobby.

No public referendum or proof indicates Americans prefer changing traditional marriage or favor a lifestyle responsible for most of this country’s and the world’s HIV/Aids epidemic.

While Barack Obama promised “change and a fundamental transformation of our society” it should not eradicate century old religious and biblical customs. If two men or two women want to live together, its strictly their own business. Why must the majority be required by law to sanction it as normal or comparable to traditional marriage?

Sadly, sanctifying such behavior as normal also encourages homosexual pedophiles that belong to groups like (NAMBLA), the North American Man Boy Love Association. Redefining marriage also raises the specter of what government will approve of next. Will it be marriage between one man and two woman, three or more same sex individuals or to one’s favorite pet?

Hopefully, Gov. Chris Christie, religious organizations, enlightened politicians, those of all political persuasions and our press and media can all support a public referendum on this issue and finally put it to rest.

President Obama and his family’s lavish living styles are unaffected by sequestration and his forced budget reduction plan? While the President cancelled White House tours for school children, taxpayers have paid for over 100 expensive rounds of golf including a three day trip for lessons and a game with Tiger Woods that cost $930,000.

Educational grants for children of deceased military personnel of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars have been slashed but $1,600,000 approved so Obama could fly to Las Vegas, Nevada and deliver a 25 minute political speech that could have been given from the White House.

Americans are inconvenienced by sequester-caused delays at Airport Terminals and Ports of Entry, but none occurred for any of the First Family’s $500,000 sightseeing trips to Spain, Africa and Botswana.

States bordering Mexico have incurred sequester-related reductions of Border Patrol agents and security personnel while over 2,000 illegal alien prisoners, including dangerous felons, were released and now roam the streets. Strangely, no problems occurred financing over $20 million for the First family’s Hawaiian vacations nor treating their 13 year old daughter and a dozen close friends to a Spring break in Mexico. That multi-thousand dollar trip saddled taxpayers with paying for two jumbo military jets, their flight personnel, 25 Secret Service agents and numerous White House support staff.

Complicit in ignoring these comparisons is our mainstream press and media that have abdicated their responsibility to be fair, honest, non-partisan and critical of the President when warranted.

Forget about our military, veterans, seniors, youngsters and those really in need of assistance and health benefits. Its relatively unimportant that we seal our borders from invaders and possible terrorists.

Its about time we spent money on one of the most important needs in our country, finding out why lesbians are fat.

The Obamas are taking unfair advantage of taxpayers simply because their travel, expenses and protection are guaranteed. The multi-million dollar costs of their sightseeing trips, ski sojourns, vacations and golf outings are being shouldered by the poor and hard-pressed middle class taxpayers. During high unemployment, increased payroll taxes, oppressive energy and gasoline costs and huge budget deficits should we pay millions for the First Family’s frequent fun and games?

How beneficial, if over $20 million in costs for the Obama’s Hawaii vocations, alone, were split between victims of hurricane Sandy and America’s Wounded Warriors. Why should taxpayers pay a million dollars for a golf lesson with Butch Harmon and game with Tiger Woods in Palm City, Fla. when 20 minutes from the White House is an excellent golf course at Camp David? If the Obamas would limit a few sightseeing trips and golf outings it would pay for hundreds of inner-city and under-privileged children to enjoy summer camp.

Was it necessary to pay $1,600,000 so Barack Obama could give a 20 minute speech in Las Vegas when it could be given from Washington? Realize that an Obama vacation uses Marine One, a helicopter, two giant Boeing 747’s designated Air Force One, Boeing 757 wide body jets for Secret Service, limousines, press, media plus electronic and teleprompter equipment. Ignored is the $181,757 cost of operating large Air Force planes each in-flight hour. How ironic that the main stream press stands mute while our Vacationer and Chief is stiffing taxpayers.

This letter is in response to Bob Engle’s Feb.10th column in the Asbury Park Press concerning Sen. Robert Menendez (D-NJ). The newspaper was also correct in stating recently that, “ Menendez has a lot of explaining to do”.

Why has the Senator escaped more comprehensive inquiries concerning alleged acts of impropriety and unethical conduct. Could it be unwillingness by the liberal media and Fourth Estate to embarrass a fellow liberal?

Why did he take two years to reimburse a substantial campaign contributor $58,500 for two mysterious flights to the Dominican Republic? What was so important to justify paying ten times what they were worth? Is there any connection between him and a current F.B.I investigation of the campaign donor who provided those flights?

At a time when America’s safety and security are threatened by nations intent on our destruction Sen. Menendez is the wrong choice to Chair the Senate’s Foreign Relations Committee. We cannot afford to have someone compromised by allegations of wrongdoing, unethical behavior or the risk of being blackmailed for personal improprieties.

Sen. Menendez, like all Americans, is innocent until proven guilty but it would be better to step aside until all personal and legal problems are solved. Meanwhile, his claim to be a victim of “nameless, faceless, anonymous allegations by right wing conservatives”is an old but lame excuse used by all liberals. The only individual responsible for Sen. Menendez’s problems is Sen. Menendez.

The Presidential election is over but Obama’s propaganda campaign will continue as a non-profit organization for the first time in American politics.

Not content with supportive and sympathetic communication media and a Fourth Estate that shills for his every action and pronouncement, this group will provide targeted support and leadership.

Organized under a 501(c)4 social and non-profit label it will be named “Organizing for Action” and attempt to influence public sentiment concerning issues in preparation for the 2014 Congressional elections. Utilizing a multi-million dollar budget, no doubt, character assassination will be used to intimidate all who oppose Obama’s policies and challengers will be depicted as out of the mainstream, radicals, extremists and without heart for the under-privileged and down-trodden.

Ironically, the group will incorporate the same rules and regulations so vehemently criticized by Obama during the campaign. Unlike the so-called Super Pacs, it will not be required to disclose contributors. This permits unlimited donations by corporations, lobbyists and those seeking influence or favorable consideration on matters like Solyndra.

While claiming to be non-political, it will attempt to destroy the Republican Party, Tea Party and all who oppose the socialization of America and be headed by the same individuals who ran Obama’s re-election campaign, Jim Messina, David Axelrod and David Plouffe.

The only action similar to what Obama plans is that conducted by Joseph Goebbles, the German Minister of Propaganda for Adolph Hitler after his election as Chairman of the National Socialist Party in 1933.

Lifting the ban on women serving in direct combat is the most degrading, humiliating decision possible for a mother, wife, sister, daughter or any female. Assume she joins the Army and takes basic and artillery training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. After training, she is assigned to a Field Artillery Observation Battalion with orders to replace a similar outfit in South Korea.

Her new temporary home becomes an 8’x16’ hillside timber and sandbag covered bunker facing the front line. A small slit facing the enemy provides room for observation. Her sometimes clad, sometimes nude bunker buddies are another forward observer and two Korean soldiers. Her job is to gather battlefield information, enemy movement and conduct artillery fire and counter-fire missions.

Inside her bunker are three cots, an oil fired heater, cooking utensils, wash basins, communication equipment, barely enough room to move and no screens or privacy. Bathroom, alias latrine facilities, behind the bunker include a board with a 12” round hole resting between two steel ammunition crates and over a small pit. It has a crude three foot square canvas cover that rarely protects from rain, sleet or snow. A sometimes wet roll of toilet paper hangs adjacent and countersunk in the ground is a 155 mm shell casing used for urination.

It is in plain view of a nearby infantry unit assigned to the same hill. Based on my very limited experience in the military, it is no place for a woman or social experimentation no matter what the Sec. of Defense orders.
