My First Night at MN GOP Caucuses
By: lukematthews (Diary) | February 12th at 02:13 PM |
Attending my first GOP caucus as a participant was an exciting experience. I had some butterflies going in because I wouldn’t know anyone there and it was something new. The experience was quite different from what I had expected. I’d like to flesh out my overall impressions a little more fully. For those who are old hands at caucuses, this may seem to be a | Read More »
Academia’s ‘Half of an Education’ Model

The StarTribune did the right thing this past weekend. They condemned Hamline’s aborted offer to have Tom Emmer, the Republican nominee for Minnesota governor in 2010, teach business law classes. They attacked it on ethical grounds, arguing Hamline promised diverse viewpoints and ideas as part of their mission and denying a conservative a teaching position was wrong. They also stated it wasn’t fair to Emmer | Read More »
Rahm-n-Weiner’s Gay Palace of Tolerance and Diversity

A Delicate Message of Peace and Understanding from the Tolerant Left

******Warning – This YouTube video is extremely vulgar*************** We just don’t understand how loving, tolerant, and diverse progressives are. In order to show just how caring and considerate they are, they’ve launched a new video along with a catchy little tune to demonstrate their open minded political philosophy. When I first watched this sweet little piece of social justice for all, I thought it must | Read More »

The first article is the defense of an initiative at the University of Minnesota teaching standards. In the second article, this initiative is criticized. It is an interesting look at what the collectivists in teaching schools are doing to ‘raise standards’ in teachers themselves. http://www.startribune.com/opinion/commentary/75058307.html?elr=KArksc8P:Pc:U0ckkD:aEyKUiD3aPc:_Yyc:aULPQL7PQLanchO7DiUr http://www.startribune.com/opinion/commentary/70662162.html?elr=KArksc8P:Pc:U0ckkD:aEyKUiD3aPc:_Yyc:aUUr It is sometime difficult to understand the particular positions of a collectivist. New York 23 is a fascinating interplay in terms of political science. Following the Obama election and the takeover of Congress, the bean counters at Republican headquarters developed a Progressive strategy of demographic chess instead of actual use of political persuasion. This tried and true liberal philosophy is based on the coalition principle inherent in collectivist theory. It relies on tendencies and labels to win | Read More »
