The Arrogance of Man and the Triumph of Love

I present for your consideration a study in opposites . . .

LOVE – Kimberly Robinson is pregnant and via an ultrasound, she is told that the child she is carrying has a tumor. The news is dire indeed. The child has an epignathus teratoma . . . a facial tumor that would likely smother the baby in the womb. If the child is lucky enough to survive the pregnancy, then he would very probably be developmentally disabled.

Arrogance – The Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) performed 305,310 abortions in 2007, which counts as an all time record for the organization. In only a decade (from 1997 to 2007) they managed to nearly double the number of abortions they perform annually (165,174 in 1997 increasing to 305,310 in 2007). (Source: National Right to Life News, Vol. 36 No. 5)

LOVE – Kimberly Robinson is a school bus driver for the Miami-Dade public schools. In particular, she transports special needs children. She has personal knowledge and experience about what it means to have a disabled child.

Arrogance – In fiscal year 2007-08, over a third (and probably more) of Planned Parenthood’s annual profits came from abortion services. The exact amount attributable to abortions is concealed in their annual report within the category of “Health Center Income.” (Source: National Right to Life News, Vol. 36 No. 5)

LOVE – Kimberly Robinson’s doctors encourage her to have an abortion in order to “expedite” the inevitable, the death of her doomed preborn child. Even Kimberly’s husband concurred with the doctor’s advice. However, it was not above Kimberly’s pay grade, a humble school bus driver, to know the reality of what exactly it is that abortion accomplishes. Kimberly summed up the gravity of abortion accurately and succinctly when she said, “They suggested I kill my baby.”

Arrogance – In fiscal year 2007-08, over one third of Planned Parenthood’s annual profits of over $1 billion came in the form of “Government Grants and Contracts.” This amount totaled nearly $350 million, all of which are your tax dollars. (Source: National Right to Life News, Vol. 36 No. 5)

LOVE – With the support of Kimberly’s family, friends, church community, and Jackson Memorial Hospital, she rejected the infanticide of her own child. She bravely would see this pregnancy through to the end and hope for the miraculous. Kimberly’s 13 year old daughter, Kimeisha, encouraged her mother, speaking words of hope through a heart filled with love. She told her mother regarding the baby, her unborn brother . . .  simply and directly . . .  “He’s going to be OK.”

Arrogance – Private donors, channeling the spirit of Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger, provided $244.9 million in “Contributions and Bequests.” Their “charity” dollars, no doubt went toward trimming the African American population in the United States. (Source: National Right to Life News, Vol. 36 No. 5)

LOVE – Kimberly Robinson gave birth to Jordan Jamal Smith in March 2009 by cesarean section. In an effort to prevent Jamal’s suffocation post birth, doctors whisked Jamal to intensive care where a breathing tube was inserted. Kimberly’s only glimpse of her child showed a son with no face, just a large reddish mass of tissue where his face should have been. She hoped and prayed for his survival, this little one she loved with such fierce intensity.

Arrogance –Public outcry over funds for “family planning” in the federal stimulus bill forced its removal from the final version of the stimulus bill. However, funding was provided to Planned Parenthood anyway, via a less publicized inclusion of “family planning” dollars in the latest federal budget. (Source: National Right to Life News, Vol. 36 No. 5)

LOVE – After a critical week, Dr. Ramzi Younis, in a 6 hour surgical procedure, removed the tumor from Jordan’s face. What he found astonished everyone. Under the massive tumor, which accounted for about 35% of Jordan’s birth weight, lay an untouched and unblemished face . . . the face of an angel, Kimberly Robinson’s little angel. In Kimberly Robinson’s own words, “It’s a miracle. It was God . . . Every day is like, wow.”

Conclusion – Kimberly Robinson and Planned Parenthood (along with their party of death accomplices, the Democrats in Congress together with Barack Obama) are indeed a study in contrasts. The difference is so stark that it can rightfully be called a chasm. It separates, in vivid black and white, the difference between love and arrogance. Kimberly Robinson loved unconditionally and embraced a faith that God is the author of life and the Lord of life. Her reward is the beautiful baby Jordon and all the joys that his precious life will bring to his parents, his siblings, and Jordan’s future wife, children, and grandchildren. Kimberly’s lovely decision has impacted countless people. In contrast, there’s Planned Parenthood’s (and their Democratic enablers’) arrogance in which they have deified themselves as gods of life and death. The fruits of their labor, however, are 305,310 corpses in 2007 alone . . . as in the time of Adam, arrogance brings death.

I have a family member with special needs. She is confined to a wheelchair and mentally retarded. The love and light she brings to everyone she encounters is beyond measure.

In the end, Susan will walk. The first time she gets on her feet and feels the sand beneath her feet will be with Jesus. She will see and she will understand why she was put here. She will do it for all eternity with our Lord. The time she spends here on earth will be but a blip.

I worked for several years with the developmentally disabled. In that time I met some very impressive people who seemed very much happy to be alive. The quality of life excuse is arrogance to the extreme.

Susan will be in my thoughts an prayers.

with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6

There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death. Proverbs 14:12

These two verses highlight the differences between PP and Kimberly Robinson. And once again we are made aware of the wisdom of the Word.

Very potent choice of Scriptures. They really do sum it up and say it all.

I was caught between rage and tears throughout this diary…thank you.

I felt the same way as I read the news story about Kimberly and her son. Sitting on my desk at the time was the National Right to Life news letter. The contrasts couldn’t have been more stark. The news letter always highlights what’s going on with organizations like Planned Parenthood (and their allies, Obama and friends).

And, thank you for reading, commenting, and recommending.

The story of this mom and her son should be able to melt even the hardest of hearts. It’s too bad her story isn’t front page material throughout the nation.

Thanks for reading, commenting, and the reco too!

They told her about epignathus teratoma and expediting the inevitable, and she succinctly heard “They suggest I kill my baby.” There is no greater love than the unconditional love of a mother to her child. awesome diary, mailloux.

is as impressive as they come. Knowing what abortion achieves isn’t above her pay grade.

that he knows the final outcome or knows what is in the will of God. I love it when man stands back and goes, wow we did not expect that.

Plus, I love it when a plan comes together; however, the interesting part is finding out what the plan was in the end.

Sorry for the late reply . . . I’m no multi-tasker, that’s for sure. If I get remotely distracted with one thing or another, I get forgetful and I forgot to thank you for your kind words!

Thank you for sharing this. Just catching up on the last few days of RedState.

    As for Planned Parenthood Childlessness:

This is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.

though it made me cry from both happiness and sorrow. I am grateful that Kimberly chose life for baby Jordan, and I am richer for having heard her story.

    Thanks again.
