Realms of Obama: Under the Bus and in the Bus Too

We are all familiar with Obama’s habit of tossing former confidants, advisors, and friends under the bus whenever it suits him. Those times typically being whenever he feels that some association may tarnish his image as secular messiah. It’s gotten pretty crowded under Obama’s bus, but his ‘purges’ are pretty well known, surprisingly well accepted by the public, and hence, old news.

Much more important than what’s happening under the bus is what’s going on in the bus. This is what really matters.

When you begin consider events in the bus, don’t think of that bus as a Greyhound traversing from state to state, and don’t think of it as a city bus taking folks to work, appointments, and shopping. No. Think instead of it as a big yellow school bus with Obama at the wheel. It’s carrying your kids and they aren’t alone in there with Obama either. He’s got the bus fully staffed with monitors and aids. Now, keep that image in your mind as you consider Obama’s recent suggestion to elongate the school day, the school year, or both.

“Now, I know longer school days and school years are not wildly popular ideas . . . not with Malia and Sasha, not in my family, and probably not in yours. But the challenges of a new century demand more time in the classroom.” President Barack Obama

Translation from Obama-speak into everyday English?

Any revolution worth its salt knows its future depends on how well the youth are indoctrinated. And, gosh darn it all, indoctrination takes time! So, instead of strengthening families which will surely draw your children away from me, I would like to lengthen the time I hold them as a captive audience. You know . . . stretch out the school day, shorten the summer, and maybe even make them attend Saturday sessions. Families are overrated anyway. It’s the village that counts. I heard that somewhere . . . oh yeah, and did I mention I’m the village chief!

There will of course be plenty of egg-headed apologists supporting Obama’s idea of expanding public school. They will cite a study here or there that indicates improvements in standardized math test scores in various pilot programs where the school day was lengthened. They will also try to spook you into supporting this initiative by citing how other countries are outpacing us in math and science, which is perfectly true. But, what they won’t tell you is that the American public school day is filled with extraneous crap that doesn’t fall anywhere near the traditional disciplines of reading, writing, and arithmetic. Crap takes time and effort from faculty and students, time and effort that would be better spent on improving the basics: reading, writing, and arithmetic.

Crap, though, is in the eye of the beholder, isn’t it? It may be crap to a conservative like me, but it’s pure gold to leftists like Obama. The extraneous crap that hinders the competiveness of American public school children is the Kool Aide of leftist indoctrination. Examples of this abound and some even make headlines (thanks to Fox News) like the NJ elementary school children recently videotaped singing the accolades of Obama . . .

“Black and white, all are equal in his sight . . . hooray Obama!” “Isn’t he just dreamy kids? By the way children, there is a correct answer to that question!”

Then there’s the transvestite pro-gay video being shown to public grade school children in the San Francisco area.

All in all, a successful socialist revolution requires indoctrination of the youth. But, let’s not call it “indoctrination.” That’s just too severe. Let’s call it “Multi-cultural education” and fuel it under the guise of the uber-value tolerance. That’s the ticket! And, if you don’t like it (and therefore submit your children to it), then you’re a racist, progress-hating, woman oppressing, homophobic, gun clinging, Bible thumping . . . wait for it . . . Republican!

Barack Obama has already gotten away with his more gentile form of purges (as opposed to the more severe Soviet version). He is truly the master of the realm under the bus. Now however, he’s got designs on being the master in the bus too and if your kid or grandchild or niece or nephew or cousin is attending public school, then he’s aboard Obama’s magic school bus.

So what did junior learn in school today? Whatever it is, it’s not likely going to make him competitive against that Chinese student half a world away, but it may just incline him to favor the kind of changes Obama has in mind.

The Left has managed to put this together for a long time, and now seeing it to fruition.

Had not thought about what was going inside the bus, Mailloux. The people have no idea how dangerous this combination is. How are we not going to end up despising this man?

Mailloux, as always, you have written another very perceptive diary.

Indeed, the left has been at this for a long time and they continue to push the envelope. And, it’s not just the pre-K through 12 system, the universities too are a swamp of indoctrination. All of it is occurring under the multi-culti banner.

Sometimes I really do think that the leftist aren’t concerned about replenishing their numbers through natural means. They have small families or no families at all (to save the earth!) and their not opposed to a liberal use of their favorite medical ‘procedure’, abortion. More conservative people, on the other hand, tend to have larger families. I believe the liberals hope to convert those children either in the pre-K through 12 system or in college. In effect, they want my children to become the state’s children . . . for time spent in the system is time spent away from the family. Thank God for homeschooling!

Sorry about being late in replying. My presence on the Internet has been spotty at best in these last few weeks!

Thanks for commenting and the reco too!

subsidized before and after school care..this is one more step. I used to think it was about control which I’m sure it is but the older I get I think it’s about money the more programs like this there are the more workers they need. Great diary mailoux you realy are great and giving illustration!!!

Apart from the whole socialist and money stuff I wonder has he ever spent a time helping his girls with math? He would know longer is not better! A child that has been running around or engaged in work or something constructive – apart from that learning will learn something you need to teach them (like math facts) a lot faster than if they had to sit all day!!! It’s not OK for boys to be sitting all day, they need to get their energy out just to act normal. The older they get the more physical activity they need.

Following the money is a spot-on description of what’s going on in education. Power and money tend to go together and there’s a heck of a lot of money in multi-culti curriculum.

I also agree that the time spent with a child in terms of quality trumps quantity any day. Homeschooling provides examples of that on a daily basis!

Thanks for reading, commenting, and the reco too!

They’ll be doing stuff like this:

      Or this:

      How about this?

The first two were sad reminders of how a generation lost almost all of their young people to war and a madman’s egotistical ambition. IMO, your correlation to Mailloux’s points is correct.

I have seen the third video before the election and it is even more disturbing and alarming now. People need to wake up and pay attention.

It is amazing just how much in the average public school curriculum is not only unnecessary, but dangerously na?ve and factually incorrect, esp. in history and science classes.

as Susannah points out in her latest diary. It’s a great argument for home schooling, while you still can. But some parents get it, as the latter half of this video shows:

BTW, mailloux, I came to the same conclusion you did when I heard Obama say he thought it might be a good idea to extend the school year. The scary thing is, I bet some lib in Congress is already working on the legislation.

about America. The first part was downright depressing. Such misplaced ugliness and anger. I cannot find the words to express how I feel about people who think like that.

The second part made me tearful, but gives me hope. That is the difference between them and us. We are not filled with hatred and animosity. We honor those that have died in the cause of freedom, even as it allows those dirtbags to express their malignant hate towards a great and decent nation.

I am without words to say more.

and well worth forwarding to others. Thanks for sharing it. I watched it twice. And, as penguin2 well put it below, watching it brings one from depths of sadness to heights of hope.

I am extremely grateful that my wife both talked me into homeschooling and was determined enough to give up her career as a PA to home school our four kids. Originally, I was inclined toward the local Catholic school, but after seeing firsthand the fruits of homeschooling, I’ve become an advocate to the core.

…they’ll think seriously about pulling their kids out of the local pub ed. I am in the last truly red state of Oklahoma and you still couldn’t pay me to put my kids in the schools.

If you want to know what’s going on in the pub ed system, I mean, REALLY know what is going on, walk in there acting like a flaming lib who is looking for a good school for your kids. They’ll spill their guts quicker than Courtney Love if they think you are one of them.

    Try it. It’s an eye-opener.

just keep the kids away from home and away from parental influence as much as possible.

Look at bam’s childhood. His father abandoned him, his mother rejected him, he was adopted by a man who obviously did not care for him. Later his grandparents were given the task of raising him. Whatever these adults did regarding raising him, he never felt wanted, never felt like a son. He was an inconvenience and therefore any self worth he had came from places away from home.

It has produced someone who puts all his worth in the state, group, school. It has also produced someone who has to fight for attention and he does not care how he fights the fight. He will hurt whoever for his own benefit and we are seeing this everyday.

The school bus is a definite reminder that we must be ever vigilant that the children are not fed socialist/communist ideas!
