Emancipation Day

No, this post is not about the Civil War. I don’t want to discuss in detail the history of the United States circa the 1860’s. Rather, this is about history yet to happen. It’s about a new emancipation potentially happening over a century from the first. And, it’s sorely needed, for a new and even more insidious form of slavery abounds nearly unchecked in the United States.

Enormous amounts of black citizens in the 21st century United States are shackled not by iron and writs of ownership, but by socialism, ironically run by the same damn plantation owners of the 1860’s, the Democrats. Shackles and whips have been replaced by addiction to a socialistically minded government. Second class citizenship is not by fiat of a Dred-Scott-like legal ruling, but implied by Affirmative Action. The black family in 21st century America need not be decimated by the selling of its family members to different plantations; instead, the family is destroyed through dependence on government; the degradation of marriage, family, and fatherhood; and the wholesale slaughter of black children courtesy of Planned Parenthood, founded by black-hating eugenicist Margaret Sanger.

Indeed, upon a little reflection, the slavery of the 21st century is far more insidious than its 19th century counterpart . . . for in the 21st century, one is “technically” free, yet not truly so because of dependence. The plantations of the late 1800’s are gone, replaced with new plantations coming in the form of voting booths. Instead of being forced to harvest cotton, the labor of the modern slave now involves picking Democrats on Election Day. A cadre of ACORN thugs takes the place of a white man with a whip.

But, April 1, 2010 is a new Emancipation Day. The new Lincolns are men like Bishop E.W. Jackson Sr., a retired black attorney who has formed the “STAND AMERICA PAC”. In effect, Bishop Jackson has declared war on the Democratic Party and on the Congressional Black Caucus. He states:

“The black community has been deceived into voting for liberal black leadership which does not reflect their values,” and, “It is a ‘Coalition of the godless.’ Black Christians do not belong in a ‘coalition of the godless,’ and should not vote for those who are.”

Bishop Jackson’s strategy is to reinvigorate the core values of the black community, which he strongly asserts are conservative and Christian. The Bishop’s PAC will encourage black voters to register as Independents and vote their values rather than vote Democrat by default.

Godspeed to Bishop Jackson. I hope and pray that his newly launched efforts through his STAND AMERICA PAC are effective and most fruitful. We are only weeks from April 1, 2010 when the STAND AMERICA PAC was formed, but may that date be one that will live in infamy among the Democrats. I pray to God that it may be a second Emancipation Day.

To me what is going on with the buying of votes by means of a dependency is more like the 19th century big city political machines that provided the homeless shelters and soup kitchens in return for getting the poor folks to vote for them..

The model in the agrarian society of a good slave is someone with great physical strength and stamina to toil for long hours in the fields. The model for the modern urban society of a good slave is someone with great mental concentration and stamina to swim through the shark infested market and take the risks that result in making money instead of losing money. These capitalists are the ones that people today vilify and want to not allow these folks to get a payment for the work they do much like the field slave did not get a payment for the work he did.

It’s a wonderful thing what Bishop Jackson is doing, but I think it is more comparable to Grover Cleveland taking on the political machine than Nat Turner.

The analogy of capitalist as slave in an economy on the fast-track to socialism is a mighty, mighty powerful one. It’s also the kind that will catch the attention of taxpayers and possibly serve as a wakeup call. If you don’t mind, I will use that analogy when talking politics in my neck of the woods in the run up to the midterms in November. Credit, of course given, where credit is due.

tells the people the truth about the damage the Democrat Party has done to them, is a voice of hope. For them and for this nation.

    God Bless Bishop Jackson.

In that most black guys would punch you in the face for even making this comparison. If I could try to make sense of why, it’s like if a compared a situation to your grandfather fighting in World War II.

His family and culture at large may not have been touched or effected by the war. Hell, he probably hasn’t taken the time to learn about it much. It’s just not something that’s generally talked about or had any urgency to be undestood by him.You would take this attitude as a trivialization. You’d probably get quite angry. He’d probably ask what you were so riled up about. It was bout 70 years ago.

This in a nuthsell is why this post doesn’t work. Black people love when you talk to them like an equal. Black people don’t feel like that when you make slavery comparisons. They feel you’re going “hey remember when y’all were property?” :D

I know it’s not intentional. I know that’s not the intent. But that’s how it’s taken. To win the black mind you have to understand the black experience. And the black experience with white people usually involves leery looks, stereotypical conversational pieces, and acting as if they follow every black celebrity of any note.

The irony is that going “the people who are leading the city are corrupt dicks” is extremely resonant.

Thank you for the comments . . . and I’ll try to remember to duck if the situation calls for it!

But, I must disagree with you. I don’t think it’s a trivialization of the history of slavery in the United States. If a black person takes it that way, then too bad. I’ve got a case, and I think it’s a good and accurate one. By presenting it without pulling any punches, I am treating everyone, black, white, brown, or however else they are pigmented as an equal. I am debating ideas, not sensitivities with respect to victimhood.

African Americans are being used in a profoundly horrible and deadly way by the liberal progressive establishment. Take for example, the awful and disproportionate toll that abortion has taken on the black community . . . it rises to the level of genocide. It is as evil as slavery . . . and in a spiritual sense, it is exactly like slavery.

I stand behind the analogy, whether it wins me a punch in the face or not.

Thanks again for sharing your thoughts about this post.
