Emancipation Day
By: mailloux (Diary) | April 23rd at 11:40 AM |
No, this post is not about the Civil War. I don’t want to discuss in detail the history of the United States circa the 1860’s. Rather, this is about history yet to happen. It’s about a new emancipation potentially happening over a century from the first. And, it’s sorely needed, for a new and even more insidious form of slavery abounds nearly unchecked in the | Read More »
Inside the Abyss’ Strategy Room
By: mailloux (Diary) | April 8th at 04:06 PM |
Somewhere in a foreign place, leaders are talking wartime strategy. Here, let’s listen in for just a moment . . . So many of them buy into the thousand-shades-of-gray illusion! Where they see gray, there is, in reality, only black or white. But, one shouldn’t expect anything less of these things. Their eyes and minds are limited, and, to make matters even worse . . | Read More »
The Lords and Ladies of Socialism
By: mailloux (Diary) | March 26th at 02:17 PM |
My wife just received a complimentary issue of Prevention Magazine. It’s a hodge-podge of health and beauty tips. It’s also a window into a Christmas-future where the USA morphs into the USSA, courtesy of Obama’s power grabs. So then, what could possibly be contained in such an easy-reading, built for the masses kind of publication that would lead me to such a seemingly wild conclusion? | Read More »
The Invasion of the Sloths
By: mailloux (Diary) | November 6th at 02:11 PM |
There is what I would consider hard fascism/socialism/communism, and then there’s the softer variety. Both are oppressive with regard to freedoms and both share multiple traits. They differ though in how they achieve their goals. In the case of hard communism, governments like the old Soviet Union and their satellite eastern bloc countries used the gun as the primary means to enforce and promulgate their | Read More »
The Real Significance and Danger of Balloon Boy
By: mailloux (Diary) | October 20th at 03:14 PM |
Simply put, Reality TV is a boot camp, training ground for the vices. It is not only unbecoming of the dignity of man, but it will also contribute greatly to his undoing as well. Reality TV truly is the equivalent of a spiritual poison and individuals will be the lesser for consuming it. And, since society is made up of individuals, it too will suffer | Read More »
NPR: National Politburo Radio
By: mailloux (Diary) | May 4th at 12:45 PM |
I didn’t quite know if I’d write about this, but here it is days later and I’m still bothered by what I heard on National Public Radio (NPR) on April 29th, 2009. I consider the post that follows to be cathartic in a therapeutic way . . . a healthy means of venting frustration at the madness that’s afoot in old Europe and now too | Read More »
Are Christians Compelled to Support the Expansion of Welfare?
By: mailloux (Diary) | April 1st at 11:30 AM |
Many liberally minded Christians believe it is both just and Christ-like to advocate for more government entitlements for an ever morphing definition of poor and/or disenfranchised. In making a case for expansive government entitlements, liberal Christians often embrace one form or another of Liberation Theology and its call for social justice. Liberation Theology, as a system of religious thought, makes an egalitarian society here on | Read More »
A Morbidly Obese Nanny is Residing in Wisconsin
By: mailloux (Diary) | February 24th at 01:46 PM |
Wisconsin’s ill gotten booty from the Federal Recovery and Reinvestment Act totals $3,760,801,661. So, how will this money be spent? Let’s put it this way . . . if the nanny in the term “Nanny State” was already dangerously overweight, then after this federal feeding frenzy, she’ll be morbidly obese. Here’s how the numbers break down: 74.56% of the nearly 4 billion (that’s $2,803,963,283 of | Read More »
Why We Home School
By: mailloux (Diary) | November 26th at 03:23 PM |
My wife and I have 4 children. Two of them are currently in home school. The other two will join the class when they reach kindergarten age. I admit that I was originally lukewarm on the idea of home school. It was my wife who sold me on the concept and it is she that gave up her career to become a full-time, home school | Read More »
Obama’s Subtle Plan for the Nationalization of Health Care
By: mailloux (Diary) | November 18th at 10:33 AM |
Obama’s campaign symbol was the infamous horizon with a mostly exposed sun. Depending on your perspective, that sun was either rising or setting. If you’ve got socialistic inclinations, the sun on Obama’s logo was definitely rising. If you think socialism is bad for humanity, then you are wise to interpret Obama’s logo as a setting sun, ominously foreshadowing the darkness of nationalization. Health care is | Read More »
