to end his career or, more realistically, been enough to make sure it never started. Just having a Southern accent guarantees that you have to be twice as good to be thought half as much of. Fortunately, it isn’t very hard to be twice as good.

Because when someone begins shooting American soldiers and shouts “Allahu Akbar,” it couldn’t possibly be the religion. He must have eaten too many twinkies.

Perhaps Joe Bob Lee shouted a Christian verse. I somehow doubt we’d see a zillion stories about PTSD.

Late-breaking news: Dumpsters at Killeen, Texas mosque where Major Nidal Malik Hasan worshiped searched by FBI today starting one hour before the Fort Hood Memorial. Also, more ties to radical Islamic terrorists and Al-Queda among emails sent by Hasan. Congressional sources indicate more information will be released soon. Maybe we shouldn't jump to conclusions. The truth may be even worse than we currently believe.
