Barack Obama, The Pied Piper of Change


From the onset of his candidacy, Mr. Obama has tried to build his cult of personality with several core groups. Amongst these are young people, especially students who remain some of his most fervent supporters. This group is a natural fit for an agenda such as Mr. Obama’s. They are malleable; take quickly to pleasing platitudes, are easily beguiled by modern invention and less apt to engage in research that would uncover the fundamental topicality of someone such as Mr. Obama. They are also often resistant to their parent’s overtures; remember?

We were all young once. So in a moment of lucid reflection it is easy to see the flaws of our youth and hopefully try to save our children from the same whimsical mistakes. Yet Mr. Obama and his liege will have none of that. They have spent generations trying to federalize the public education system, installing their agenda and wooing the teachers unions. The resulting scourge is a rudimentary example of liberalisms failure; decreasing test scores, children ill prepared for a world beyond academics, decaying moral values due to indoctrinated social views and unrealistic expectations emanating from an illogical sense of entitlement.

In retrospect, Liberals have been trying to steal our children for years. So it is no surprise that Mr. Obama’s latest attempt to speak with them has sparked outrage. Perhaps it is just the boldness of his move which somehow confirms the whispers and back page discussions often treated as some National Enquirer story or conservative fairy tale. We who have been the silent or vocal opponents of counterproductive inventions such as multiculturalism, moral relativism and other teachings which supplant us as parents are suddenly acquitted of our societal transgressions. Thanks, but we confirmed the righteousness of our cabal in a secret basement meeting some time ago. I jest, of course.

Under the guidance of David Axelrod, Mr. Obama has used all the accoutrements of our modern age such as the internet and Facebook to attract younger Americans like the Pied Piper. Yet, much like the Brothers Grimm legend Mr. Obama’s outreach is lure, used with the intention of exacting a very calculated revenge. The townspeople of our country have reneged on supporting his version of “hope and change” for the duration of our country’s existence. He is now discovering that no force of personality will “change” that reality. Not even the legions of indoctrinated “faithful”.

Our past rejection of the liberal stealth agenda was accomplished as a matter of preserving democratic principal, our constitution and the enduring survival of this republic. But along with the “rats” Mr. Obama has most recently charmed democratic process, small government, fiscal responsibility and the fundamental will of our country out of town. Against the desire of a trusting populace more focused on preserving their families’ well-being in these tough times, Mr. Obama has stolen at historical levels from the future generations he now seeks to enlist. Nonetheless, he will have none of the “partisan” protestation and dismisses our ideas for alternative solutions as nonexistent and the punch line in a friendly rally speech. He counts on the time between now and the next electoral cycles as a “lifetime”; implying by then you will forget his transgressions- will you?

In Mr. Obama’s current adaptation Americans see a departure from free market principles, democratic governance, bipartisanship and the basic tenets of our constitution. As the veil comes off his agenda, people feel they have been used and are ashamed of being been enticed by Mr. Obama’s disingenuous behavior. Accordingly, Mr. Obama’s poll numbers have dropped, people are outraged and support for his agenda has plummeted as his version of change is actually defined. Our children are indebted at record levels for generations, unemployment is at a 26 year high, the stock market has dropped, GDP is anemic, inflation is on the horizon and undemocratic forces are afoot in our government. Overall, the orderly structure of our constitutional republic is under assault and the populace is worried by what seems an impending demise. When papers such as the New York Times print an article like this , you know it has really become a desperate time for young people. Time for real “change”.

The Obama flute has lost its magic tune and the piper’s motives are clear. We will now seek out the cave in which he and his cohorts have stashed generations and lead them back by the hand. They will be rearmed with facts, ideas and solutions for the future so sorely lacking in this latest liberal “saviors” perpetual campaign. It is our duty as parents and Americans.


The Approaching Republican Fiasco


First, several simple facts need to be established since some in our contemporary political debate are forgetful of the road we have traveled. Republicans reached their neoteric apex under President Ronald Reagan then surged with a Congress led by Newt Gingrich and others pushing “The Contract with America“. Keep this in mind, for therein lies cogitative substance.

Without going into further explication, these were the salad days of our beloved Republican Party, which has since slid from a tangible relationship with our populace to the current faceless, contradictory amalgam we now represent.In this retrospective, it becomes much harder to understand our modern day stalwarts, who seek to continue this disastrous campaign by imploring the troops to get fat of the land, hoping the opposition will eventually self destruct. Their motto should be forthwith “Nostalgia, not Discernment”.

One might point to the unprincipled, vacillating stands of yore or more contemporary futility such as demographic calculation to explain the Republican strategies which have led to failure. Or perhaps it was an absence of ideas, lost in a calculated quest to look more like our opposition, which caused the defeat? Certainly such contumacious and vexing appeals have chipped away at every pillar of our success? But alas, that conclusion is a product of sagacious reasoning- and there shall be none of that here.

Nonetheless, traveling the otherwise imprudent road of reflection, one might find a number of reasons to perspicaciously reconsider past failures. That is if one actually considered them failures and desired to be victorious in the future. Yet it seems our Republican Party will have none of this. The counsels still rule their fiefdoms and will not resign in shame for their role in our extirpation. But they need to go or we will be cursed like Cassandra, with a vision for the future that no one will believe. For the good of our party, Sir Mitch and Sir John- fall on your swords and let the valiant take lead.

What does the modern Republican Party stand for? Is it the hope of failure or being a cautious pedestrian to political self immolation; all pursued so we can cull the burnt carcass of our opposition? If so, then what? Do we rule from the gilded thrones of our current oppressors, assuming their robes, fiefdom vestiges and content to rule with their laws? Isn’t this behavior that brought us our current misfortune, where the victorious now roam the countryside beating their chests, pillaging villages and horrifying the populace? Rhetorically, yes it is and until Republicans realize that one can not rule over ashes without rebuilding a solid, firm, tangible foundation- we will never have the trust of our people and hold dominion. Never.


The Passionless Matching Game, Obama Version.


See if you can match this, with this. Next, see if you can draw the logical conclusion. So, if you follow the dialectic, next we will see a resignation. Right? To answer your next question, yes, the political part of our intelligence apparatus is in disarray. Shocking, I know.

Mr. Obama’s management of the war in Afghanistan has left our troops without necessary support. The strategy has sent our effort adrift and his goal is elusive. In the midst, our family, friends and love ones are still getting shot at. But the CIA is our new enemy and by the picture below, (dated, I know. But no pictures are allowed this time- why? question for another day.) it all weighs heavily on Mr. Obama’s mind. But don’t be fooled, he cares deeply. No, really, I heard it in a speech or was it a press conference? Maybe MSNBC, I can’t remember.

Please Leave the Firearms at Home


Let’s dispense of a few rhetorical attack angles right up front. I am a gun owner, supporter of the Second Amendment and NRA member. Living in New York, I am also jealous of the carry laws in places such as Arizona, Florida and New Hampshire. However, I will offer my differing opinion on the following;
Arizona Rally

PHOENIX — About a dozen people carrying guns, including one with a military-style rifle, milled among protesters outside the convention center where President Barack Obama was giving a speech Monday — the latest incident in which protesters have openly displayed firearms near the president.

I don’t question your right to possess or carry a gun. My only concern is appearances and the deceitful opportunity this provides to those who don’t support gun rights. It also puts all at the rally in danger of being ubiquitously dismissed as nuts or supporters of fringe groups and plays into liberals oft characterized stereotypes.

Carrying your gun at a rally to highlight Democrats attack on our Second Amendment Right is both justifiable and where permissible, legal. However, doing so at political rallies is intimidating to some participants. Given the latest increase Conservative protesters and demographic mix, I would simply ask you refrain from bringing the gun.

As we continue our effort to get folks actively involved, it would be helpful for them to feel safe and not be intimidated. Recent liberal attempts to use their supporters as potential flash points are already enough to deter some families from attending.

I understand the passion and cherish our Right. But in full consideration for all potential points of view, I simply ask for restraint.


What other Democratic Processes will Obama’s Union Supporters Disrupt?


In the battle of big government versus the people, it seems unions have aligned with big government. Since the tenor of our current government including the President is decidedly anti democratic, I suppose by extension that makes the unions also anti democratic. But I wouldn’t stop there. I would also say that contemporary unions are now anti American. So I suppose it’s us regular Americas versus the unions.

Unions have an interesting history in America and their relationship with non-members, which would be the majority of us, is mixed. They have in the past inspired intense disgust and sometimes been a sense of pride. Those of us within a certain generation can remember the tune, “look for the union label” as a catchy, somewhat inspiring refrain. That memory may become melancholy as some recall stories told by first generation family members about the abusive garment center sweatshops. But I digress. By the way, where has the garment industry in our country gone? Somebody please call the union bosses and ask them.

Today’s unions have become an anathema to liberty and our democratic way of life. They vehemently oppose, attack and assault those who are not with them. They openly use mandatory “dues” to promote parochial interests which often conflict with their members. These same unions also skirt IRS regulations as they illegally participate in our political process.

The unions are now Mr. Obama’s henchman, driven by their own greed, thirst for power and desire to force their will upon the majority. They will stop at nothing, including physical confrontation with our senior citizens to establish Mr. Obama and Nancy Pelosi’s takeover of our healthcare system*. But they will not succeed. The majority of Americans have been awakened by these nefarious forces who have once again forgotten history.

This current battle is only one small, but important part of the war against a fiscally irresponsible, constitutionally destructive, socialist opposition that is destroying our way of life. The major battle is on the horizon in 2010 and thereafter 2012. What will Mr. Obama his union thugs, ACORN and other supporters do then- beat grandma into submission? Only God knows, but I will be ready. Will you?

Turn Yourself In. Yes, You.


You feel guilty, don’t you? As Seneca the Younger said “every guilty person is his own hangman”. So why waddle and suffer in all that guilt? Put an end to it all and relieve your guilty conscience. Repeat after me and confess the following;

Ah, now doesn’t that feel better? No- not yet? Well let’s try some Freudian methods

Whew, that was painful. Now let’s recap. Have you written this all down? Are you sure that all the preceding statements truly represent your feelings? Good. Now there is one final part, the coupe de grace if you will. Turn yourself in. Yes, I said it. And if your family, neighbors and parents have repeated the exercise with you, turn them in also. Believe me, it is good for the soul and this tactic worked every other time in history it was employed. Page down, find the email address and admit your guilt. What are you waiting for?


Mr. President, It was Not a “Teachable Moment”. It was Instructive.


I have always believed that when one gives a candid, extemporaneous answer it is generally the most truthful and reliable. That is why retorts in history similar to Mr. Obama’s remarks on the Gates Affair have seemingly eternal longevity and leave such deep impressions. It is also essentially why Mr. Obama wants to change the subject and not let us dwell on his remarks.

Mr. Obama can try as he might to change words that have already been spoken. But lasting perceptions have been made which are fairly immutable. It is in one sense confirmation of what people have often heard about Mr. Obama – but some did not believe; that he is an ideologically driven person with very deep seated views that are contrary to our countries basic principals. The signs have been there all along for those who are open to honest, intellectual observation.

Mr. Obama’s Ghetto Economics are based on fiscally irresponsible, outdated and illogical theories which surmise that if we just steal enough from the rich guys, our planet would be a better place. These theories promote false hope, destroying a sense of community and fellowship which more correctly represents America’s essence. They are further promoted and enforced by Ghetto Politics, which use the proverbial point of a gun in legislative sessions to gain compliance- silencing those who would otherwise speak out in opposition and defiance. That is not democracy, it is ideological oppression and soft tyranny. Every community in our country without exception should be offended.

Personally, I am not angry- just extremely disappointed. In the world in which I grew up people were called friend, boss, acquaintance and so on. I honestly believed that is what equality meant. Yet Mr. Obama again reminds us there are still divisive relics who see this country in other terms such as black, white, rich, poor, abused, neglected, racist and jaded. Post racial President? Hardly. He is the quintessential antithesis of what makes this country great.

Mr Obama’s words and actions betray his real agenda. They help us further understand his motivation behind an plan which is truly based on seizing power, destroying individual liberty and recasting America in some foreign, self-destructive way.  It is the quintessential essence of his “change” theme in motion- to change us into something we are not; a mob of self serving individual groups determined to destroy each other in the name of parochial motives, class envy and other socialist proclivities.

Mr. Obama’s downfall will be that many of us still remember history and the driving force behind what makes this country great. That in times of crisis and challenge we pull together as one nation to preserve our liberty and independence. No sir, the mob won’t rule and we will not destroy our neighbors to steal his bread or usurp his possessions. We will come together and promote a common defense against the type of encroachment and divisiveness you represent. That is not only our history but future destiny.


Further Proof the Democrat’s Carbon Tax is Self Defeating


It has often been said that in America individual ingenuity is a cornerstone of our culture. That is perhaps one reason why conservatives are often perplexed by a liberal culture which worships at the altar of the state. Think about it. What problem has the government ever permanently solved for you? That’s what I thought.

Now cogitate on a higher level. Think about a government whose primary proclivity is to grow its power and ration. Do you really believe they can be objective in addressing so-called issues such as man-made global warming, or is there another purpose? I’ll take “what is a motive for mendacious taxation and financial ruin for $500, Monty”.

In sum total, the aforementioned exercise makes this an even more interesting article (warning; requires some thought and intellectual perspective). Witness the following excerpt;

“   JERUSALEM, July 7 (Xinhua) — Israeli company Seambiotic and NASA’s John Glenn Research Center will join hands in studying micro-algae cultivation to produce bio-fuel, a local daily reported Tuesday.

The two sides will join hands in the production of micro-algae, which can be used as a feedstock for bio-fuel, in an effort to reduce the use of fossil fuel, said the Jerusalem Post.”

Nothing extraordinarily hard to understand, n’est-ce pas? Actually this sounds fairly promising, especially since NASA is involved. Smart guys, right? -Investigating the possibilities with some other ingenuous guys across the globe. But there is more;

“Ashkelon-based Seambiotic, founded in 2003, was the first company to use flue gas from coal-burning power stations as a source for carbon dioxide to cultivate micro-algae. The nearby Israel Electric Corporation in Ashkelon serves as the source for carbon dioxide and water, which the company uses to cool its turbine.”

Oh, so the primary source for cultivating a potential fossil fuel replacement is the carbon dioxide from coal burning plants. Those same plants which Obama and Democrat’s want to put out of existence. That same source of “cultivation” which Democrat’s want to tax. M’kay, this all makes sense to me know. Democrats will tax what we exhale and shut down (or tax heavily) the coal fired plants which makes the bio fuel production more expensive. Got it; more change you can believe in.

By the way, why is it so hard to find a page explaining carbon dioxide, where it indicates we exhale about 1kg a day on average? Why isn’t it at least on the diagram for kids?


As the World Burns, Mr. Obama Dribbles


During his campaign for President, Mr. Obama continuously alluded to the so-called “grave” post September 11th distractions and foreign policy missteps made by his predecessor. These statements would generally represent quotidian electoral protocol if he were running against an incumbent President seeking a second term. However, considering Mr. Bush’s lame duck status it was obvious Mr. Obama probably had another purpose in making such proclamations. They were an attempt to use a President made deeply unpopular by years of Democratic Party and major media disingenuity as a guileful electoral tactic. Driving this gambit was election polling which clearly favored Mr. McCain on matters of foreign policy and our nation’s security. It therefore became necessary to place a distinguishing National Security feather in Mr. Obama’s empyrean bonnet of change to woo an otherwise circumspect populace.

Despite Mr. Obama’s sustained attacks on President Bush, our electorate remained unconvinced of his National Security credentials. To address this perceived deficiency Mr. Obama reflexively promised more “specifics” would be delivered in the later stages of his campaign. To help sell Mr. Obama’s qualifications, his campaign staff build up significant anticipation for a July 2008 speech titled “New Strategy for a New World”. In it, Mr. Obama said the following, which perhaps best summarizes the entire content;

“I am running for President of the United States to lead this country in a new direction – to seize this moment’s promise. Instead of being distracted from the most pressing threats that we face, I want to overcome them. Instead of pushing the entire burden of our foreign policy on to the brave men and women of our military, I want to use all elements of American power to keep us safe, and prosperous, and free. Instead of alienating ourselves from the world, I want America – once again – to lead”

The theme was familiar, often repeated throughout Mr. Obama’s campaign and perhaps easily condensed into one terse sentence; Bush was bad, imperial and led us in the wrong direction. This was not a departure from past articulation and a clear signal Mr. Obama’s “strategy” did not involve more specificity. It was to further the mantra with a new, seemingly appealing ending; I will change our ways and lead us in the right direction. Conclusively, the public had once again received generalized themes to complement lofty “policies” such as “talking” to those with whom we disagreed- as if that had never been tried. It should have been a moment in which we all realized there were no specific plans to which Mr. Obama would commit. But at that juncture campaign momentum took over and our country was hooked by the marketing; nobody cared about the fine print. It was precisely at this point, we failed as a country by not holding Mr. Obama to account for his plans or correctly anticipate the coming danger in his lack of articulation.

Fast forward to year one of Mr. Obama’s Administration and the world is unquestionably, but not surprisingly a more dangerous place.  Mr. Obama’s policies to expedite our withdrawal from Iraq have predictably put our troops in danger and allowed the enemy to gain a foothold in our vacuum. Since Mr. Obama’s election, North Korea has become increasingly hostile and moved beyond just possessing nuclear arms technology to threatening our country with its use. Under Mr. Obama, Iran continues unabated on the march towards nuclear armaments, now seemingly endorsed by Mr. Obama, with Israel the only hope for extinguishing that threat. In Russia, Mr. Obama has dusted off old, discarded vestiges of our nuclear relationship and attempted to present these policies as some type of contemporary wisdom while nothing could be further from the truth. Finally, the global goodwill supposedly generated by Mr. Obama’s election which would help empty Guantanamo Bay of its prisoners has instead led to consideration of housing terrorists in our neighborhoods and paying remote South Pacific Islands to take inmates. Change, indeed.

Mr. Obama’s contemporary foreign policy has not only made us less safe, but also threatens the aspirations of freedom yearning people across the globe. For example, the desire to have fair and democratic elections in Iran, a cornerstone for any democratic society, was roundly greeted by Mr. Obama with tepid and curious remarks more akin to that of a third world dictatorship than the historical beacon of democracy. In Honduras, when the government followed their Constitution and rule of law to prevent a clear dictatorial power grab by Mr. Zelaya, Mr. Obama sided with an opposition composed of dictators and third world tyrants. This is not to be outdone by Mr. Obama’s implied willingness to use Georgia’s democratic aspirations as a negotiation tactic with Russia or pitch the independent pining of Taiwan as a potential burnt offering to the Chinese. Comprehensively, these actions represent a stunning reversal of American foreign policy modus operandi virtually unequaled in our history.

Whether you agree or disagree with the war in Iraq or various policies pursued in the “War on Terror, it is virtually inarguable Mr. Bush spent a majority of his time since September 2001 successfully keeping us safe. Accordingly, his personal recreation mirrored his work and was therefore fascinating only to those of us who appreciated sacrifice. In contrast, Mr. Obama has made personal recreation a cornerstone of his appeal while allowing ill-advised policies to hurtle us towards disaster. For our sake let’s hope he dribbles less; the shot clock is running down.


Response to “The One’s” Beautiful Feckless Message? A Sajjil-2 Missile. More “Change You Can Believe In”


If this is a sign of things to come, we all should start building bomb shelters and stocking up on bottled water immediately. It might also be wise to stay away from any place which could represent a potential terrorist target.

I bet OBL is in his Parachinar retreat chortling (since “The One” was elected, things for him are much safer and he has moved from the cave) at a return to Clintonian “why can’t we all just get along” policies which brought us September 11th. The only remaining question is target selection. Anyone want to wager that OBL is sending “The One” a Hallmark card for Nowruz?

Apparently Iran is unbowed by flowery speeches which lack substance, quote poets and use Farsi phrases. I have to give them credit, since their display of intellectual prowess places Iran’s powers of observation well above the majority of Americans who voted for “The One”.

Let’s review a quote and the response, shall we?

“My administration is now committed to diplomacy that addresses the full range of issues before us, and to pursuing constructive ties among the United States, Iran and the international community. This process will not be advanced by threats. We seek instead engagement that is honest and grounded in mutual respect.”

And the response;

“President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Iran test-fired a new advanced missile Wednesday with a range of about 1,200 miles, far enough to strike Israel and southeastern Europe.”

It is not enough that “The One” has waffled on GITMO, backs Constitutional Rights for terrorists, undertakes an apology tour on our behalf, bows to foreign leaders, has his “mommy” continually wipe his nose while declaring he is God’s gift and continues to make us less safe. But now “The One” will try to use those same powers which made car companies and banks Fascist wards of the state to endanger sovereign foreign nations we use to call friends.

It might be wise for Iran to start warming up those shiny, new Russian missile defense systems. Us? Get ready to add a new anniversary on your calendar. This one will fall right next to September 11th, courtesy of “The One’ and “change” which oddly resembles the corpse of past liberal misadventures.


Breaking; Obama Deploys Army and Police Ahead of Tax Increase


 A sign of things to come;

Washington DC, April 23 (Reuters) – The government put police and the army on high alert to help deter riots and demonstrations as it prepared to announce tax increases on income, gasoline, carbon dioxide and flour tomorrow.

National Guard and police riot squads were deployed at strategic locations throughout the country. Anonymous sources speculated this would be primarily at locations where so-called “Tea Parties” were hosted on April 15th. They also stated that further restrictions would be placed on ownership of firearms to prevent those most likely to commit violence from acting. The source further confirmed our government will “use state pistol registrations to find those most likely possessing guns and involved with the latest round of ammunition hoarding.

President Obama told the nation during a national broadcast early today that “Americans should brace for tougher times because Bush left the economy in shambles and was the sole cause for Democrats recent wave of government spending”, expected to reach over $10 trillion. Mr. Obama further stated “this situation gave him no choice except to indebt future generations, privatize irresponsible companies, and nationalize our healthcare system in order to correct this economic disaster”. To fund this substantial expenditure Mr. Obama stated he had “no choice, but to raise taxes on the wealthiest Americans”. When asked by Fox News to define wealthy, Mr. Obama scolded the unnamed journalist and called him a “right wing hack”. It was also reported that other journalists applauded Mr. Obama’s comments and threw tea bags at the Fox News Reporter. At the end of the session Mr. Obama apologized “in the interest of bipartisan spirit”.

The Republican Party stated they were relying on consultants to help them formulate a position that would be ready by next week. Until then party representatives said they would not take any action. However, this did not deter the Daily Kos and MoveOn.org from saying violent opposition to the crackdown was being organized by the “GOP, right wing nuts, guns owners, moms with strollers and the usual wealthy party backers”. One blogger, quoted in a front page story for tomorrows New York Times called it “Astroturf”.

Starbucks reported they were hiring private security to protect their locations to stop any potential looting.

There was also an unconfirmed report that Michelle Malkin and Laura Ingraham were placed under house arrest for “stoking the violence certain to be part of any gathering involving so many unsavory elements”.

It’s Time to Commence the Revolution


I am calling for the revolution to commence.

Let’s not sugarcoat it my friends, anything less is a flaccid half measure.

The dictionary defines “revolution” foremost as;

“an overthrow or repudiation and the thorough replacement of an established government or political system by the people governed.”

We the people not only seek repudiation of our current government, but a return to fundamental principles and ideals that formed a basis for our country’s historical success. That is best accomplished through repetitious articulation of our societal values and adherence to fundamental principals.

Repudiation is a matter of degrees and builds on the effectiveness of each successive action. If we are not victorious in our action, then we assess, persevere, coordinate and escalate.

In 1765, our Continental Congress responded in an orderly and mannerly way to the monarchies fiats such as the Stamp Act, in part with the following statement;

“That the duties imposed by several late Acts of Parliament, from the peculiar circumstances of these colonies, will be extremely burthensome and grievous; and from the scarcity of specie, the payment of them absolutely impracticable.”

By 1774, The Continental Congress move to further dissolve the bonds of tyrannical, undemocratic oppression. Witness the preamble;

“Whereas, since the close of the last war, the British parliament, claiming a power, of right, to bind the people of America by statutes in all cases whatsoever, hath, in some acts, expressly imposed taxes on them, and in others, under various presences, but in fact for the purpose of raising a revenue, hath imposed rates and duties payable in these colonies, established a board of commissioners, with unconstitutional powers, and extended the jurisdiction of courts of admiralty, not only for collecting the said duties, but for the trial of causes merely arising within the body of a county”

 In 1775, The Declaration and Necessity of Taking up Arms tersely stated;

 ”With hearts fortified with these animating reflections, we most solemnly, before God and the world, declare, that, exerting the utmost energy of those powers, which our beneficent Creator hath graciously bestowed upon us, the arms we have been compelled by our enemies to assume, we will, in defiance of every hazard, with unabating firmness and perseverence, employ for the preservation of our liberties; being with one mind resolved to die freemen rather than to live slaves.”

 The rest, as they say, is history and encompassed in the following;

 ”We hold these truths to be self-evident: That all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness; that, to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed; that whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles, and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness.”

I am certainly not suggesting an armed rebellion; merely that we learn from the past; that is, when liberty is threatened one must articulate the danger, engage the oppressors or in this case, the statists, and help those enslaved envision the alternatives. In this pursuit, we have failed miserably as a party and Americans.

From conceptiom, we have been a nation of competing interests, a collection of “rabble” as the British liked to derisively say. However, the principles of freedom, liberty and independence have always bound us in times of stress. Unity and singleness of purpose, combined with willing sacrifice ultimately intended to achieve our common goals are paramount. Without such accord, we are destined to fail, and fail miserably. In contemporary times we have abandoned principal for parochial pursuit and in that action surrendered collectively to the soft tyranny of progressive, socialist statism. Nothing could be more destructive to our Republic.

It is therefore finding that cohesion; those common interests based in firm and unyielding principals, we will achieve future success.  Tea parties are certainly a good start, as are alternative plans to egregious taxation and spending which will halt the destructive indebtedness of future generations threatening to extinguish our societies fabric. Our purpose should be instructive and didactic; exposing our populace to the plethora of ideas which represent the fundamental, historical bonds and hence enduring success of our republic.

For us to survive, we must learn to become more proactive then reactive, more substantive in our articulation and more of a cohesive army, than a mob of individualists.

Democrats Attempt to Establish the American version of Der Angriff


Benjamin Cardin wants to establish the American version of Der Angriff. Disguised as an attempt to help struggling newspapers survive, Mr. Cardin has introduced the Newspaper Revitalization Act. The bill primarily seeks to give IRS 501 (c)(3) and 501 (a) tax exempt status to newspapers. In a time when Mr. Obama and his administration are chasing tax revenue, newspapers will get a pass. But in case you missed the underlying impetus, here is a familiar snippet;

 ”The economy has caused an immediate problem, but the business model for newspapers, based on circulation and advertising revenue, is broken, and that is a real tragedy for communities across the nation and for our democracy.”

Therefore Mr. Cardin and Democrats will use the tax code to shelter their propaganda machine. They will seek to overcome IRS restrictions against any political activity by banning participating newspapers from making endorsements. However, actual endorsements have never been the primary issue with many of these newspaper companies. In fact, the endorsements have generally followed a daily, overtly political tenor and generally poor quality of their articles. Many regular citizens even surmise that is the primary reason for many newspapers demise.

The story gets even more intriguing when one considers Mr. Cardin’s political contributors. At the top of that list is a firm called DLA Piper. DLA Piper describes itself in the following terms;

Interestingly enough DLA Piper also has a “Media and New Media” Unit. DLA Piper describes that group in the following context;

Cuomo and Frank Admit They’re Marxists


Barney Frank and Andrew Cuomo want to dictate your pay. After all, that is Mr. Frank’s constitutional duty as a congressman; isn’t it? I suppose the same applies to Mr. Cuomo as Attorney General of New York? Somewhere in the AG duties surely we will find the part where it says he is legally mandated to set compensation structures for public companies. That section is probably right after the one giving him the power to set what schools can serve for lunch- right?

 No doubt, as soon as they are done with Wall Street, Cuomo and Frank will get around to the Union bosses. Then once those salaries are fixed, “Frankencuomo” will work their way down into changing collective bargaining salary agreements that have destroyed our automobile industry and helped public sector union’s bankrupt taxpayers. Finally, I suspect we will investigate salaries of government officials who vote for their own pay raises- irrespective of economic conditions. Perhaps we can start with quantifying what government officials are paid vs. the economic benefits gained- just like the real world.

 ”There will be tax increases down the road; there are a lot of rich people we can tax.”

 Seem as though they both take the same perspective and are read from identical scripts.

 The divide and conquer, class warfare mentality of this Democrat Party is betrayed only to those who have read about the proletariat and bourgeois. Apparently, we must feed upon each other- neighbor upon neighbor, executive upon farmer to satisfy their lust for “change”. It is the only hope Democrats have to cover up their massive spending and accompanying mendacity regarding how that money is being spent. Will we let our country descend into political chaos or depend upon our own change to rebuild a brighter future for our children? It’s your choice, but 2010 is right around the corner.


Eliot Spitzer Seeks Redemption; Buys a Brothel


In an attempt move to restore some semblance of his public life, Eliot Spitzer has decided to pursue a future in real estate. However, the initial target of his new endeavor contains irony only previously equaled by Lieutenant Noonan eating the murder weapon in Alfred Hitchcock’s “Lamb to the Slaughter”. Mr. Spitzer’s first acquisition will be- a functioning brothel. Asked directly about the curious nature of his purchase, Mr. Spitzer provided the following insight;

 ”Well, it really will now become my first love, something I can wrap my arms around. Aw cripes, strike that part- can we consider it off the record? Let’s start again- it just came naturally to me, like a primal passionate urge. Oh Geez- one more time guys, this is friggin going nowhere good. Can I just say real estate is an obvious choice these days for anyone looking to pursue government subsidized business opportunities? Plus the underlying business paradigm is something I am completely familiar with and ultimately benefits the public good.”

 Mr. Spitzer made the announcement surrounded by family, friends, acquaintances, prostitutes, government officials and parolees from his former exploits. The overall atmosphere seemed clearly arranged to ease Mr. Spitzer’s guilt about his previous pursuits, and as the press conference continued his level of apprehension decreased. However, when Spitzer spoke again it was clear there was a secondary purpose;

 ”The entire American attitude about prostitution is purely prudish stigmatism. I mean, if you didn’t know who these people were who could tell the government officials from call girls or parolees? They are all just ordinary, everyday folks out there day after day humping their butts off and trying to serve the public. The fact we want to categorize everybody is frankly divisive and exclusive. It smacks of an arrogant, un-American approach typified by the former Bush administration and schlepped by Republican water carriers like Rush Limbaugh.”

 Asked by a Fox News representative what Bush or Limbaugh had to do with prostitution, Mr. Spitzer demurred and dissembled.

 ”Err, well, everybody knows that Bush lied about the whole weapons of mass destruction thing and Limbaugh is a shill for the conservative prudes. I mean crimeny, where have you been for the last eight years- hiding out at the RNC Headquarters? Oh, and Michael Steeele? How’s that working out for you guys? Sure, pick on the Democrat who is down on his luck to distract from your own misery. Honestly, it just lends credence to the fact Republicans are mean spirited social malcontents. Oh and Foxnewwss? Independent journalism has surely died with the loss of The Rocky Mountain News and Baltimore Examiner.”

The irony was further compounded by Mr. Spitzer’s purchase being located only two blocks from the Mayflower Hotel, site of his career ending trysts with a call girl. However, when asked about the proximity Mr. Spitzer said he had “no apprehensions about the location”. But “retrospectively felt it may have been  motivated by a deep seated psychological need for redemption”. Pressed further on how he defined redemption, Mr. Spitzer offered the following;

“Geez, I don’t know. Lately, I have been caught up in the whole “change” theme started by Mr. Obama. What I have learned from him is that “change” is so ethereal it can mean anything. It’s like any other marketing campaign- “we can do it, you can help” or more apropos in this case, “have it your way”. So I decided, why not start with prostitution and real estate? Two issues so far apart, yet so closely related. Cripes, on either one you seem to get screwed” he said, chortling at the analogy- “that last comment is off the record, of course.”

 Asked about any future ventures, Mr. Spitzer hesitated for a moment. He then stated- “digital converter boxes. I hear there is a big provision in the stimulus bill for that and it will stay with our investment theme of removing all the artificial social barriers. We start with the boxes and then move towards free 24 hour smut. Geez, I AM the man- Eliot is baaack.”


We Have Met the Enemy- Aww, Isn’t He Cute!


Global Warming fanatics unite! It is not the Sun, natural causes or flawed models that are responsible for Global Warming. It is an enemy that walks among us. They tread cautiously- sometimes almost silently, provide a source of warmth and often sustain us. In some countries they play a major economic role, making any attacks on them very vexing and dangerous. They have been called cute, woolly and docile. But don’t let that designation fool you. They are dangerous, malevolent usurpers of our planet and livelihood. Why, the very fact they eat and breath are contentious points of discussion. The most horrible and despicable part of it all is they, wait for it, belch! Oh, the horror.

 

Now this;

So how do we deal with this terrible, awful threat to humanity? Do we take away Al Gore’s jet, force him to turn down the thermostat or stop erupting noxious statements? No. Heavens, no.

 

“Plenty of people, including farmers, think the problem of sheep burps is so much hot air. But governments are coming under pressure to put a cork in it, and many farmers fear that new livestock regulations could follow. They worry that environmentalists will someday persuade the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to seek to tax bovine belches. Some activists are urging consumers to stop buying meat and thus slow climate change.”

 

What is the answer? More taxes and “change”. Time to hide the dog- he’s next.


Investor Confidence Up Before the Spending Bill… Oops.


The fine people at State Street have given us a glimpse of investor confidence that predates the Obama-Democrat Atrociously Mendacious Nonsense Bill or O-DAMN if you prefer acronyms. Guess what? The sky is not falling, fire is not coming from the Heavens and the Great Depression has not returned.

Some people have made the point it looks a bit like the early 1980′s but that doesn’t quite have the scare factor of Mr. Obama’s “we are doomed” oratory; unless Super Mario, big hair and Madonna scares you.

There is no doubt; we are not out of the proverbial economic woods yet. Nonetheless, signs of positive economic indicators are appearing on the horizon. That would be prior to the massive spending bill now being represented as a “stimulus” (and now talk of s second stimulus, auto bailouts, mortgage bailouts……..)

It’s Time for Battle with Susan Collins. Will Michael Steele Follow Us Up the Hill?


Remember the ‘Gang of 14”? It should not be too far removed from your memory. The “Gang of 14”is one of the seminal events which gave rise to the so-called Republican “Moderate” movement. It was the basis for permitting unconstitutional filibusters of President Bush’s judicial nominees. Some would further and convincingly argue it also helped lead to the ascendancy of a weak Republican Presidential nominee and contributed to the current identity crisis in the “Grand old Party”.

 

The ability for congressional members to caucus as a means of advancing ideas and positions is an important legislative tool. However when the primary reason for that gathering is to subvert the leadership, weaken our position as a party and advance ideas which are contrary to our core beliefs it is pernicious. These instances must no longer be able to flourish and receive our support, financial or otherwise, that is unless we remain resolved to a permanent minority status.

 

This all brings us to the contemporary actions of Susan Collins. Senator Collins apparently views her role as chief advocate for the Republican “Moderate” movement. This group wants to further destroy the unity which is so critical to achieving an invigorated identity and credibility with voters. It also is a group whose views more closely resemble the unpopular policies of the Democrat run Congress.

 

Susan Collins voted for nationalizing healthcare by voting for and expansion of SCHIP to high income families and illegal immigrants last Friday. That does not even closely represent our views.

 

But Senator Collins is not deterred. Susan Collins is now leading the fight to support the Democrats “Porkulus” Bill. According to the Wall Street Journal;

 

“Sen. Collins, a centrist with allies in both parties, was called to the White House Wednesday to meet with Mr. Obama. She envisions holding the cost of the stimulus package to $700 billion or less, well below the $819 billion package of tax cuts and spending the House approved last week.

 

 

The target grew out of discussions among a group of moderate Republicans, led by Sen. Collins, aimed at reining in costs and better targeting federal funds toward job creation. The effort amounts to “rebuilding” the Obama package, according to an individual familiar with the talks. The package would include tax cuts and investments intended to create jobs, such as infrastructure projects, but it would step back from spending projects that don’t immediately lift the sagging U.S. economy.”

 

Cal Susan Collins and tell her she does not represent you and the unpopular “Porkulus” Bill needs to be scrapped in favor of Republican authored legislation.

Frailty, thy name is (House) Republican


In an effort to find Republicans wavering on the so-called “Stimulus” package, Democrats and the Obama Administration have commenced an all out blitz. It appears they are beating the bushes, whips in hand, to ensure those who would betray responsible economic policy line up and vote for the $900 billion government pork package.   

 

Administration officials are hopeful that the goodwill and political capital Obama currently enjoys will win them at least some Republican votes on the bill, expected on the House floor Wednesday, and are launching an all-out lobbying blitz to pick them off.In addition to the president’s mid-day visit, chief of staff Rahm Emanuel hosted a group of congressional Republicans at the White House Tuesday night.”
 
 

 

 

We should not provide shelter or a hiding place for any defectors and some Republicans are setting the judicious, prudent tone;

 

“”The Democrat bill won’t stimulate anything but more government and more debt,” Representative Mike Pence of Indiana, chairman of the Republican conference, said Tuesday. “The slow and wasteful spending in the House Democrat bill is a disservice to millions of Americans who want to see this Congress take immediate action to get this economy moving again.”

 

This has not stopped the intense effort to find tergiversates and others cowed by the effort to reward Democrat political support groups with our money. It has also turned some Republican lobbyists to betray their own party;

 

“If you can just get some intel on 4-5 of the members and report it back to me, I will try to aggregate the information and get it back to the [White House] and House [Democratic] leadership,” wrote Ralph Hellman in an e-mail Tuesday morning to fellow lobbyists, listing those House Republicans Obama considers in play. Hellman is lobbying in support of the stimulus package for technology companies, but Obama officials say he’s not working with the White House.Hellman, a former top aide to former Speaker Dennis Hastert, noted in the message that the Republican target list consisted of those who recently voted with Democrats on extending the SCHIP program. Privately, White House aides are playing less nice, warning Republicans what is at stake.
 
   

 

 

It is shameful that such creatures still exist amongst us as we try to rebuild this party and our country. One can only hope the road back to victory is paved over their ignominious carcasses. They should be exposed on these pages and forever banned from any leadership position.

Fighting Terrorism; Twice. Obama’s Coming War on Competence


As Mr. Obama appears to be moving away from his promise to close Guantanamo Bay, evidence regarding one potential aspect of his hesitation is emerging. However, to many Americans that have intellectually and factually explored the controversy surrounding Guantanamo Bay, his decision is not perceived as a revelation. Rather it is a forgone, logical conclusion reached by central decision makers, including President Bush, a long time ago. To further support the well grounded basis for these policies, the Pentagon released the following information today;

“The Pentagon said on Tuesday that 61 former detainees from its military prison camp at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, appear to have returned to terrorism since their release from custody.

 Pentagon spokesman Geoff Morrell said 18 former detainees are confirmed as “returning to the fight” and 43 are suspected of having done in a report issued late in December by the Defense Intelligence Agency.”

 Both Mr. Obama’s decision and the threat assessment data are a stinging rebuke to forces that promoted various fallacious GITMO canards throughout the election. This not only includes far left liberal groups and despicable Democrats but also inauspicious Republicans such as John McCain. Since the opening of Guantanamo Bay, they have built a collective argumentative construct which presupposes the use of torture and so-called deprivation of rights as a basis for their very dangerous actions. Their successes read like a list of perilous misadventures and constitutional abrogation’s; extension of US Constitutional habeas rights to non US citizens, Geneva Convention- Article 3 rights to terrorist enemy non-combatants, rewriting the definition of torture and innumerable baseless claims about alleged mistreatment. These actions have further entangled our country in a dangerous web woven by those whose only motive is to kill any disagreeing with their diabolical theology.

 Yet even in the face of evidence these actions have dangerous consequences, the voices of ignominy continue;

 ”Rights advocates said the lack of details should call the Pentagon’s assertions into question.

 ”Until enough information is provided to allow the press and the public to verify these claims, they need to be viewed with a healthy degree of skepticism,” said Jennifer Daskal, a Washington-based lawyer for Human Rights Watch.”

It will be with both great perturbation and bated breath we watch the actions of a new administration. Will they continue to pave the treacherous road which further endangers our safety and that of our armed forces? Will their new discoveries and exposure to lessons learned vindicate actions taken in the past eight years? Or will inexperience, old alliances and misguided proclivities intervene to once again propel us towards viperous forces and ghastly events? One can only hope this time common sense prevails over political vituperation.
