Barack Obama is a lying hypocrite/hypocritical liar

Lace up the shoes. Game on.

A new ad from John McCain intones that Dem candidate Barack Obama is a hypocritical liar.

Barack Obama. He promised better. He lied.

To wit:

Writes ABC News’ Jake Tapper:

The criticisms of the Obama ads are all on target.

Tapper, God love him, has backed his statement with links. (To be fair, he did not on his blog agree that Obama is a hypocritical liar or a lying hypocrite.)

If the shoe fits, Barry, lace it up.

The question is, how effective will such statements be with the estimated 15% of voters who have yet to make up their minds? That remains to be seen, but Barack Obama has been able to skate so far on a media-generated mystique. Almost his entire persona, which is essentially a blank in reality, has been media-spawned. That has to be cracked, the rock kicked over, for some dose of reality to descend on the minds of voters. These ads are an attempt to smash the façade, show voters that they should be at least frightened, perhaps mortified, by Barack Obama, perhaps the ultimate null.

If one defines lying as knowing the truth and chosing to say something else, BHO does not lie, for to people like him truth is a word without an objective meaning. The truth is whatever he perceives it to be or perceives that it ought to be. Therefore, by his way of thinking whatever falls out of his mouth is the truth.

He and his ilk are the personification of post-modernist thinking. This is what makes them so hard for people like most of us to deal with. It is also why they hate us so much for challenging them and calling them liars. They quite literally believe that there is no objective truth, there is only truth for now, truth for me.

Thanks, I needed that for my crossword over lunch.

Where is the McCain music at the end? Did he dump it? I always thought it seemed out of place.

But he wrote an review of one of Ayer’s book. How is that possible?

Look how Robert Gibbs, Obama’s campaign adviser, is lying (by denying facts) about Obama’s knowledge of Ayers.

Achance, this is a masterpiece comment!!!!

        I totally agree.

That was awesome…that poor guy couldn’t even defend him. LMAO

You have to tear a man’s credibility down before you can attack his arguments. Obama is impervious to attacks on the economy because the media has conditioned people to like and trust him. “The One” campaign did this for a little while but it wore off. Attack his his character than people may liten on the economy. That’s why the Ayers angle serves a dual purpose.

    • Pomme

can they keep up the argument that they’re bringing up Ayers to distract from the economy issues??

McCain is talking about the economy! That’s what yesterday was all about!!

The NY Times CLEARLY SAID Ayers was not a man he was close to. I guess we can close the book on that one; the mighty times has spoken.

Do you think that everyone who writes a blurb personally knows the author of that book? That would be an easily falsifiable proposition.

don’t believe in objective reality. I think the more reasonable ones at least claim that “something” exists, it is just our ability to perceive it is subjective. I would bet BHO is more of a flawed theorist (our reality is defined by our social location – race, class, gender)– and by imbricating subjective standpoints we can come up with a reasonable representation of reality. But, standpoint theorists can be kooky, too. Just google donna haraway if you want a peak.

Perhaps the term we are looking for is pathological liar.

I (BO), said it, ergo it must be true.

Bubba has that problem, as you recall.

BHO is to post-modernism as the useful idiots are to communism. I’d think more of him if I thought there were philosophical underpinnings to his factual flexibility. He’s just inured to it; taught (indoctrinated) to think that way. Useful idiot for the Ayers of the World.

most college students grow out of it by their sophomores year. It is the lovie-blanket of small minds.

            the following were not true:
            1. They were not neighbors in Hyde Park. Elite people of Hyde Park regularly meet to share their opinions.
            2. They didn’t have the same project… Annenberg Challenge.
            3. Their “same” project is about Education.
            4. Obama commented on Ayer’s book about EDUCATION.

If you deny it in your heart, you are also lying to yourself.

Don’t you know that the most dangerous form of lie is called “HALF-TRUTH”…trying to undermine the Truth by using some facts but denying the rest? That’s Obama…too accustomed to use Devil’s Lie Defense to protect his hidden past.
