Barney advises Barry to hike taxes

There are lots of rich people to tax, Rep. Frank sez on CNBC

What did House Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank (D-Massachusetts) tell CNBC yesterday that he would advise a President Barack Obama?

“Yes, I believe later on there should be tax increases. Speaking personally, I think there are a lot of very rich people out there whom we can tax at a point down the road and recover some of this money.”

Obama and friends have yet to learn the lesson of Fritz Mondale.

Also encourage other democrats to voice their heart felt views on race, economy, fairness doctrine, social engineering and vision for America.

    Great job.

    McCain / Palin,
Make the voters understand the democrat viewpoints. You don’t need to do anything else.

When they start talking about taxing wealth, instead of income.

Let’s see them go after the Theresa Heinz Kerry’s of the world and see how far they get.

If Obama is elected and the Dems have the super-majority in the Senate, the tax increases will follow an obvious path:

Year 1: the proposed tax increases for those with incomes over $250k.

Result: Tax Revenues will decrease while new spending will explode increasing the deficit and national debt

Year 2: Institution of the Super Rate on the very rich (whatever that means) that Barney Frank and others are promoting. This will probably be close to or slightly above 50%. While everyone is concentrating on the super rate, the Dems will quietly lower the minimum for higher taxes from $250k to $200k or even $150k. The reason given by Dems will be that George Bush left us in such terrible economic problems, this is the only way to recover.

The policies of the extreme left are scary. If these policies are so great, then why have Canada and several countries in Europe recently elected Conservative Leaders to reverse the years of liberal policies that have ravaged the economies, health care systems, labor systems, etc. of those countries?

I know that many people are angry at the current administration, but they need to think about our current situation compared to the living situations in these other countries. We are still much better off, but this not be the case under an Obama Administration.

Amazing, simply amazing. You can’t say we weren’t warned.

Time to tax wealth. For the first time, I’m for greatly raising capital gains taxes while lowering income and FICA taxes.

          Soak the Libs.

Well, that’s what Barney says we ought to do in the interview. Forget the debt, forget lower taxes, let’s all tax and spend.

It is their message, and it is — I don’t know of a better way to put it — giving me the creeps.

Does anyone have an idea why the GWU/Battleground poll is not posted and discussed. RCP posts it and puts it tword the bottom of the list. Is it not taken seriously for some reason? Probably shouldn’t be paying attention to polls until later next week, but I’m just curious if anyone knows what’s up with this poll?

    Barney,

You IDIOT! If I’ve told you once, I’ve told you 1000 times. No words are to leave your mouth except, “tax cuts for 95% of America” and “failed policies of George Bush and John McCain” until AFTER the election!

Keep it up and I’m going to let the media run the YouTube videos!

    Barack Obama

However, I never knew they supported failed tax policies.

There was a time when opportunity in this country meant there was very little standing in your way. People came to this country because unlike their nation of origin in America they had a say in the government, they could get a basic education, they could freely purchase property, they could go where they wanted, start a business, be their own boss, follow their own dreams, and if they worked hard and followed the rules there were no limits to how successful they could become. No more.

Under an Obama administration w/ the help of his Democratic supermajority there will be limits. How dare you or I aspire to grand heights? In the eyes of the left, our success can only come at the expense of others. No matter what fault they themselves truly bear in their own failure, we will be held accountable. Opportunity will no longer come in the form of freedom, but in the form of a free lunch.

What the heck does that mean? Sounds like he’s saying it was stolen..from the government. Well my lil’ liberal friend,it wasnt yours to begin with! Most people actually work for what they have,I hold no grudge against anyone in a better financial position than me.Barney and friends just need to LET GO OF MY MONEY!!
It’s mine to do with as I wish,if thats to donate some to charity, thats MY choice..
    if I need another beer,again MY choice……
    “recover some of this money….”
    sigh
