I was judging his performance on MTP this morning, and he was duly skeptical. He asked many of the questions I wanted asked, not the Brokaw softballs. Also, he acted like he really enjoyed what he was doing. You never got that from Brokaw, but it was one of Russert's most endearing traits. I liked his conversation with Chuck Todd after the Cook County Mobsters segment, as well. But, when he was in the WH Press Corps, just his name caused me to have a visceral reaction. I think he's smarmy, arrogant and ultra-biased and when I see a picture of him I want to knock the crap out of him.
