Is Boehner really that dumb, or does he just think we are?
(I submit the latter is the case.)

Seeing that Obama's stimulas plan has about as much of a chance to succeed as cutting the largest tree in the forest down with a Herring it is especially apt.

Yes, there were a few conservatives on the shows today but as all week and the preceeding weeks -- the story is what BHO promises to the country and how does he feel. There is mostly an "ode" to this man rather than some direct and hard questions and follow-up, given the hard times. The fawning, adoration and "he will fix all" attitude of these hosts decry the name journalist.

Did he really say that there is 60% support for EFCA and that it is one of the keys to an economic recovery?

I, for one, am glad to see that nobody knows what they're talking about. John Boehner in his comments today has basically said that the Sky's the Limit for how large the bailout programs will grow.

And I think they will grow to the sky and beyond, because let's face it folks: this is really scary. And the scarier it is, the scarier it gets. It's kind of a positive feedback loop of scariness, with nobody in Washington knowing what they're talking about, except that the only thing they can think to do is throw an enormous amount of money at it.

Here's what I think the people who know what they're talking about are saying, in places like the CIA and the NSA:

They're looking at the Springtime in America with a 12 or 13 percent unemployment rate. A lot of the millions of people who are going to be thrown out of work in the next couple of months are the ones who can least afford to lose their jobs. In the large cities across America, that's going to mean hundreds of thousands of newly-unemployed people who have suffered through the winter of all discontents and who are just getting warmed up in the Springtime.

And what can happen when the weather turns warm and people are angry is a lot of civil unrest. And as a result of that, the bailout packages are going to pass in the next couple of months, virtually without limit on the amount of money spent shoveling money at the big cities in this country. Because Mike Bloomberg knows that in March, April and particularly May in New York, if the unemployment rate is 12% or higher and there is no relief coming in, he might have to call in the national guard to keep his whole city from going up in smoke.

Same thing except earlier with Detroit.

So expect the bailouts to pass bigtime, because that is what the people who know what they're talking about are talking about.
