it’s a stupid plan. A lot of the locations will take place in areas where traffic will be barred for the duration. It will likely require paid parking here in TN as well.

Take close-ups of all parties involved in any altercation and hand a copy over to your local police. When they are identified you can find out if they are ACORN people.

Everyone should bring their video cameras regardless and upload to youtube! Bombarded youtube with Tea Party footage!

I just heard through the grapevine that the police in my city are expecting major violence/riots. There is word on the street that liberals are bringing eggs and rotten veggies to throw at the Tea Party attendees!

…at least somebody is thinking about what the Democrats might do. The biggest weakness conservatives have is being blindsided, because they don’t “think evil,” like ACORN and Democrat groups do. They think that way every day and we only have to be oblivious once for there to be incredible damage.

Back in the days of civil rights and anti-war demonstrations, the cops and informers were everywhere in the crowds and often tried to incite some bad act. Organizers were constantly trying to control people and insist that they not rise to the bait.

The organizers are working with local law enforcement and so stay with the organizers! I guarantee you the local police will NOT BE HAPPY with the idiots who create a disturbance. I as well agree with holding down the person who attacks anyone…you basically be effecting a citizens arrest!

You know how the winning team always dumps a cooler of Gatorade on their coach at the Super Bowl? It’s a nice, lighthearted way to send a message to the ACORN plants that they need to move along.

Nothing annoys people more than messing up their hair. Just humidity in the summer ruins some people’s day. I would imagine having sticky iced tea dumped over their head in a crowd of giggling hillbillies would get them out pretty quickly.

It can’t be interpreted as racist, either, just a harmless prank and taking the whole tea party theme literally.

someone suggested this last week on a thread. Have signs made that say things like “These NUTS are from ACORN!” and “These RUDE PEOPLE are from HuffPo!”. When someone starts acting up (for the cameras, of course!), stand next to or behind them holding up these signs to make sure the camera picks that message up as well. They’ll show on the video, and maybe even an honest local newsperson (is there such a thing?) will interview you about why your sign says that.

If an ACORN plant was going to happen, it would have happened here in San Francisco. We have plenty of nutcake lefties willing to stage a mock assault like that. The hardest part would be finding a handful of normal-looking people to pose as “rightwinger fundies”, as we’re known locally. Most ACORN types would be given away by the blue hair and gutterpunk tattoos.

No one hassled us. The crowd was generally having fun. We marched from City Hall to the Federal Building, where Nan Pelosi has her office. There were probably 1,000 people when I left around 12:00. Not a bad turnout for such a lefty city. There were lots of older people and older vets.

I left at noon because I have work to do. That’s the problem with right-wing protests: we’re responsible and we have jobs to do. Not so much with the lefties who either live off mom’s trust fund or can’t keep a job as a barista, so they protest full time.

Yeah, it’s in the middle of GOPland, PA, but it’s also a pretty small town. And it was raining pretty heavily.

HuffPo showed up to take pictures and names (and ended up giving our local Conservative newsletter “Everyone’s Opinion” some free publicity.

Great crowd, very polite. Much support from traffic passing by. A very nice and productive way to spend a beautiful afternoon!

What “redneck” looking person is going to want anything to do with ACORN?? Trust me, the rednecks I know wouldn’t do anything to help ACORN.
