Foreseeable Consequences

As an update to an earlier blog that details why I think the KSM trial is all horse apples, proof that the consequences of such a move would lead to headlines like this:

Navy SEALs Face Assault Charges for Capturing Most-Wanted Terrorist

*snip*   “Now, instead of being lauded for bringing to justice a high-value target, three of the SEAL commandos, all enlisted, face assault charges and have retained lawyers.” *snip*

Wow.  Boy we didn’t see that one coming-oh, yeah, uh….we said that would happen.

Are you happy now Obama?  You put the entire US Military on trial, you have endangered every soldier out on the field or in the sands of the middle east.   You have elevated the terrorists above Americans.  You, sir, are a disgrace to the office you hold and to the military which you command.

Can we yet recall this man not fit to be in office?

Chronology of Failure and Hope

The “Greatest Generation” was so named for the ability to name, confront, battle and win against evil.   Most of those who served and families who sacrificed to keep families intact until their return were made of stern stuff.  They know what needed to be done and did not bemoan the fact it had to be done.  By contrast, a large portion of subsequent generations do them an injustice.

The children of the “Greatest Generation” I term the “Least Greatest Generation.”  They were given more than their parents had and threw it right back in their faces.  These are the 60’s babies.  These are the people you see making laws for us today.  These are the children who protested Vietnam, bombed government offices, participated in domestic terrorism and openly condoned socialism and communism.  Feminism, liberalism, humanism, relativism and  antidisestablishmentarianism,  took hold and the family unit and society was fractured.  They were anti-government and pro-dictator.  They were anti-rule of law and pro-chaos.  They were against every societal norm and for anything that was in direct opposition.  They looked to manipulating politics and education to get for themselves what they could not achieve through infantile behavior.  Though the behavior did not stop, it merely was redirected into policy.  This is the generation that spawned out current liberal administration.

By and large the children of the 70’s are the “Shiftless Generation.”  They had grandparents that experienced the Depression, parents that participated in sit-in’s, love-ins and peace-outs. Torn between two mindsets, it was easier to smoke dope than to participate in life.    To do justice, there were those that supported and served in Vietnam, those who didn’t fit the 70’s mold, but overall, they just tuned out.  Family units were further fractured and the schism grew so large it was irretrievably broken.  Disdain for the elderly replaced veneration and society jumped the rails of morality.  Sex, drugs and rock and roll, it was a lifestyle.

80’s babies were spoiled rotten and fed every excess known to man.  Sex and drugs were a cultural identity, even more so than the “Summer of Lovin’.”  It was raunchy, it was in your face.  These kids were given anything they wanted and to this day, your 80’s babies cannot understand why they can’t have it all?  They deserve it and doggone it they are good looking!  Priorities were skewed as well.  Family units were only a memory of what replaced it.  Broken homes, blended families, single parenting, abortions in place of birth control.  The culture of death flourished.   The elderly, our greatest treasure, were simply forgotten.  Punk was in and anti-everything reared it’s ugly head again.

The “Least Greatest Generation” taught their 70’s and 80’s babies very little moral limitations, hence the Madonna type girls and metrosexual males of the 90’s.  The grandparents of the Depression were dying off and precious few, too few remained to be the compass and rule for their descendants.  They were also given all they could desire, but the technological boon birthed a new generation of technoweeniesthat could do almost anything related to technology, but nothing with their hands or minds.  Lead by the second most juvenile administration in US history, the country was betrayed to it’s own gluttony.  Like a horse that eats until is founders, the US was fed a steady diet of crap and excess.  We went from reading Life to reading US or Self.  It was all about me, me, me.  Victimization was en vogue.

2000 saw a rebirth of the spirit that was alive in our greatest generation.  It was a flicker, but it was there.   2010 will likely be the year that starts to bring common sense and uncommon valor back to the forefront and bring sanity to this country once again.  I do see reason to hope amid the failure we see every day.  I am banking on it.  I am raising my kids be in that tide to become the “2nd Greatest Generation.”

Can We have a Vote of NO Confidence, Now?

Mr. Obama, the man-child in presidential clothing, is the first president to make his first year in office about the unprodigious aspects of the country he leads.  He has spent the first 11 months daily apologizing for our mediocrity and the egregious behaviour of the Bush Administration.    He has portrayed America as not worthy of it’s place on the pedestal on which it sat until his Thrasher Tour, 2009.   So it is of little shock to me that Obama would have no problem with Eric Holder prosecuting KSM and 4 other terrorists in civilian court.    It comes as no surprise to me that he welcomes the decision to make America a target again, give the perpetrators the same rights as full citizens and allow the security risk that will be most certainly a huge concern.

It is Obama’s chance to once again show the US as a rule-breaking thug on the world scene.  It is his chance to prosecute the former President Bush and Cheney adminstration without looking like he sanctioned such a thing.  So much for looking forward.  This will be the opportunity for Obama to bring up torture, black sites, share information that will eventually find it’s way into the hands of the enemy and tarnish the US.  It is his dream come true.

Mr.  Obama is not stupid, he has to know the inevitable outcome of this trial and that all the things mentioned above will have to put a civilian trial at risk for mistrial or aquittal.  But he is more concerned with airing his grievances about the former administration than with the degree of guilt of the mad men that have already confessed to the crimes of which they are accused.   He is more convinced of his righteousness in using this trial to bring justice to those he believes are the real criminals, not those who were not mirandized on the field of combat.  Simply put, Obama wants to satisfy the left leaning 9/11 truthers and those that hold the men that kept us safe for 8 years accountable for war crimes.  He wants them punished more than KSM.  That is why there will be no military tribunals.

The American public should be able to have a vote of no confidence of any president that sells out his own country, his own people, his own government to satiate his own petty, vacuous desires.  The only difference between Philip Nolan and Barack Obama is that Obama has sold us out on the world stage, daily, right in front of our faces.

Maybe Kurt Vonnegut should chronicle this as well?  He can rewrite his Bush bashing book  with a little prestidigitation and voila! an instant chronicle of the current administration from theft, disenfranshisement, faux pas, scandals and lost confidence in a failed administration.

Sometimes, Things are Exactly What They Appear To Be

I am in awe of how succinctly Col. Allen West (USA, Retired) has laid to waste any arguments that the jihad on Fort Hood was anything other than just that.   In every word written by West, I am in complete agreement:

We have become so politically correct that our media is more concerned about the stress of the shooter, Major Nidal Malik Hasan. The misplaced benevolence intending to portray him as a victim is despicable. The fact that there are some who have now created an entire new classification called; “pre-virtual vicarious Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)” is unconscionable.

The Jurassic Media has bent over backwards to reframe the blame to anyone other than Hasan that Cirque du Soleil would be proud of them.  Now we have PTSD-by proxy?  Please, what idiots do the media and this administration take us for?  West also states:

Major Hasan should have never been transferred to Ft Hood, matter of fact he should have been Chaptered from the Army. His previous statements, poor evaluation reports, and the fact that the FBI had him under investigation for jihadist website posting should have been proof positive.

Now we learn superiors wondered if Hasan was psychotic, had ties to some odd people the government has yet to name but were under FBI investigation, Hasan’s his 2007 slide presentation to fellow Army doctors on “The Koranic World View As It Relates to Muslims in the Military,” Hasan spelled it out: “We love death more then (sic) you love life!”

Just how many red flags have to be flown?  Hasan was doing everything but a can-can dance and STILL no one wanted to have the religion of perpetually outraged accuse them of racial or religious profiling.

Can you tell me what these all have in common?

This is not a “man caused disaster”. It is what it is, an Islamic jihadist attack.    Truth is, sometimes things are exactly what they appear to be.

PC Kills

That political correctness was used by the Army when dealing with Major Hasan is as important an issue as the unintended consequences.   That the Army has had to be more and more politically correct in dealing with Muslims in the US military is not in question, but what I question is the foreseeable outcome.  Fort Hood.

Political correctness is to blame for allowing someone who was so unfit to be in the military, to still be there 6 months after the Army was REALLY taking notes on Hasan.

It is to blame for either missing the attempts to contact Al Quaeda, or waiting to use them.  Political correctness is to blame for the deaths and woundings of every soldier at Fort Hood, and for that, someone must answer.  Urbangrounds.com has a succint piece on the matter.

The Army has never treated men and women with kid gloves, neither has it given preferential treatment to anyone;  however, in Hasan’s case, signs were either missed or misused.

Department of Homeland Security secretary Nepalitano warns against anti-Muslim backlash in the wake of the Fort Hood murders.   I want to know, why didn’t she or the military step in long before now with the facts we now have in hand?    Why was Hasan allowed to be on the advisory panel to DHS with the facts we now have in hand?  Why was Hasan to be deployed with the facts we now have in hand?   Why was he not pulled away from soldiers and civilians with all the anti-American sentiments he espoused and why not, at the very least, bounced out of the Army?  One cannot serve two masters, and this was the foreseeable outcome with the facts we now have in hand.

You can read the facts we now know here, here, here, here, here, here and here.  More details come out daily.

The US Military, above all should understand and know what the blowback should be when allowing those with mixed allegiances in their ranks.  It is akin to letting the SS join our military in WW2, or letting Russian spies in our intelligence communities during the cold war because someone whined about racial profiling or discrimination.  The tail is wagging the dog and THIS is precisely the only outcome that can come from letting it happen.   There is blood on the hands of whoever made the decision or allowed indecision to keep Hasan in the Army, and likewise whatever agency, head of agency, that leaned on the military to become the PC military it is today.

W and Laura are Heroes, Obamas, Eh - Not So Much

Since the laughtastic remarks the bugnuts in chief made about the Fort Hood jihad, he has not seen fit to visit the site.  In fact, he will be schmoozing at Camp David, rather than acting like the Commander in Chief.   George W. Bush and his wife, on the other hand, spent time at Fort Hood with no camera’s, no paparazzi, no photo-op, no teleprompter.  They went, discreetly and without fanfare to offer support and encouragement

In contrast here is the Saturday schedule for Obama:

President Obama’s Saturday Schedule

11:25AM THE PRESIDENT addresses the House Democratic Caucus - Cannon House Office Building

2:30PM THE PRESIDENT makes a statement to the press on Health Care - Rose Garden

2:45PM THE PRESIDENT and THE FIRST LADY depart The White House en route Camp David - South Lawn

However, on Tuesday, November 10th, 5 full days after the terrorist attacked, Michelle and BO will attend a memorial service at Fort Hood.  That is it.  No more.

If you are a vet, a current member of the military, a military spouse or troop supporter who voted for this Shvuntz or Mamzer,  I simply want to know  WHY?!!  Why would you want this gutless wonder to lead the US military?  Why would you want this man to be the face of the US military when he has no interest in you, nor in terrorism?

The Obamas wouldn’t know how to be the heroes the Bushes are.  They are not worthy enough to hold the door open or for them.  They do not belong in the White House, and HE does not need to be in command of the best fighting force in the world.  It is like Clinton 2.0, only worse.

Go To Jail, Do NOT Pass Go with HR3962

Sidestepping the tradegy in Fort Hood for just a minute, I have to address the insanity on the Hill. 3962

H.R. 3962H.R. 3962vH.R. 3962

Today a letter was released from the Joint Committee on Taxation outlining how many will face a debtors prisons over healthcare according to Pelosi.  In HR3962  Americans that do not maintain “acceptable” health coverage  and choose not to pay the individual mandate tax of 2.5% of ones income, will be subject to numerous CIVIL and CRIMINAL penalties, will face fines up to $250,000.00 and could also face up to 5 years in PRISON.  For healthcare????!!!!!  What a bunch of yutzes!!   Of course there is no way in hell it is constitutional and will never hold up in a court of law, but the arrogance, the elitism, the sheer gall of Pelosi and the Democratic controlled Congress is just sickening.

According to the CBO, the cheapest acceptable non-group health insurance plan will cost around $15,000.00 in 2016.Bud

A link to the entire letter can be found, here.

Excerpts:

Civil Penalties

Section 6662(a) an accuracy related penalty of 20% pf the underpayment attributable to the health care tax, based on negligence or disregard (the former includes lack of a reasonable attempt to comply and the latter includes any intentional disregard of rules and regulations) or substantial understatement, if the understatement of tax is sufficiently large.

Section 6663 – a fraud penalty of 75% of the underpayment, if the government can prove fraudulent intent to avoid taxes by clear and convincing evidence.

Section 6702 – a $5,000 penalty for taking a frivolous position on a tax return, if the underpayment is intended to delay or impede tax administration and the return on its face indicated that the self-assessment is substantially incorrect.

Section 6651 – delinquency penalty of .5 percent of the underpayment, each month, up to a max of 25% of the underpayment.

Prosecution is authorized under the Code for a variety of offenses.  Depending on the level of the noncompliance, the following penalties could apply to an individual:

Criminal penalties

Section 7203 – misdemeanor willful failure to pay is punishable by a fine of up to $25,000 and/or imprisonment of up to one year.

Section 7201 – felony willful evasion is punishable by a fine of up to $250,000 and/or imprisonment of up to five years.” [page 3]

Hopefully Flemings HR615 will pass, forcing Congress has to abide by and buy the same insurance  (read crap) they are trying to cram down our throats.  Or maybe Joe Wilson, of YOU LIE fame, who recently queried  “If this government-run plan is so good, why don’t members of Congress take the plan?  [snip]  “We know why the majority of the ‘Pelosi takeover bill’ does not provide this, they do know that the government-run option will not be in the interest of the American people, either individually or for the American citizens at large. I’m just very hopeful that they’ll reconsider, that they will understand if it’s good enough for the American people, it’s good enough for Congress.”  Wilson says the House is “shoving this bill through.”   Newsflash, cram it down our throats in 2009, we will shove it up your

  in 2010.

Per Obama: Don’t Jump to Conclusions about Hasan

“We don’t know all the answers yet and I would caution against jumping to conclusions until we have all the facts,” Obama said on the White House lawn, today.

Well, not jumping to conclusions, but stating facts, here we go:

1.  Soldiers who witnessed the carnage at Fort Hood say Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan yelled  ”Allahu Akbar!” — an Arabic phrase for “God is great!” — before opening fire, the base commander said Friday.

2.  Hasan’s past was filled with difficulties, and his past performances were poor.

3.  He was disciplined for proselytizing about his Muslim faith with patients and colleagues, according to the source, who worked with him at the time.

4.  Hasan had posted internet pieces about suicide bombings.  For, not against.

5.  The Army was suspicious of Hasan 6 months ago.

6.  According to peers seemed happy about shootings/killings at a Little Rock military recruiting station.

7.  Was not a convert to, but was a lifelong devout Muslim.

8.  Was an adviser to Homeland security panel advising on who was a threat?

9.  Outlandish comments as told by his peers.

I agree, let the facts speak for themselves.

Oy vey!  I miss W more and more every day.

Random thoughts on Fort Hood

1. The actions of Major Nidal Malik Hasan at Fort Hood today are reprehensible.  Families are devastated.  There are no adequate words to convey the loss and sorrow, the horror that was done by one man.

2.  And yet,  one would think that the commander in chief would devote more than 2 minutes to the tragedy and not make it about himself, but the narcissist in chief did just that.   Speaking at the Tribal Nations Conference meeting of Native American leaders, Obama stated at the end of his remarks ” We will make sure that we get answers to every single question about this horrible incident and I want all of you to know that as commander-in-chief there is no greater honor but also no greater responsibility for me than to make sure that the extraordinary men and women in uniform are properly cared for and their safety and security when they are at home is provided for.”    Then, on to more business.

3. Obamas words:  “there is no greater responsibility for me than to make sure that the extraordinary men and women in uniform are properly cared for.”  I call BS on that.  2 words:  VA Hospital.

4.   In the  background of all this, the Senate saw fit to go ahead and ram this bill through to a vote.  A moment of silence is all they could spare for the tragedy.  I can guarantee you that even the slip shod haphazard treatment most of our military gets in the VA will be vastly better than the care they, and we, will receive under the worst piece of legislation in American history.

5.  I see from the update at ABC that General Cone has stated that Hasan was wounded but in custody.   Oh goody.  Be prepared for CAIR to step in and try to rationalize his behavior.   Just, steel yourselves for the religion of peace to come to the aid of a man who could not measure up to the uniform he wore.   Just know now, in advance, that we will be made the bad guy in this whole thing because of teasing.  Teasing, what are we in the 8th grade?  Grown men tease each other all the time and usually the teasing includes all kinds of profanity and remarks about family members….so what?  Teasing?    Wait for it.

6.  Personally, I hope that they either hanghim high or put in the same room with surviving members of families he has destroyed and let them mete out justice-oh, yeah, and add 5 years each per person for hate crimes as well.   Didn’t think that would come full circle, now did you, CAIR?

7.  The military might consider handing him over to Texas to proscute.  We have an express lane for executions.
