I’m sorry I voted for Obama in 2008. I do not know what I was thinking. I’m a 28 year old white male. I grew up in a conservative home. I have conservative values except on a few social issues. I am very conservative fiscally. Why did I vote for Obama? I don’t know. I never identified with John McCain. I think it may have been a generational issue. I just didn’t get him. His choice of Sarah Palin for VP was very interesting, but I was duped by the media interviews and felt she was incapable of handling the job. I now know otherwise.
Today I sent in my voter registration change, and for the first time since I was 18, I am a registered Republican. I will vote a straight Republican ticket from now on. This “change” Obama promised is not the change I had bargained for at all. Frankly, I don’t trust him or any of the other Democrats in Congress. When I hear of some of the appointments he has made, it frightens me. These are people on the fringe. Racists, socialists, and un-American. Obamacare scares me to death. Is our health care system perfect? No. Is Obamacare the answer? No.
I’m hoping a really strong Republican will run in 2012 and we can get this guy out of office. I just hope we have a country left after he’s done with us… Just know that you have one extra (R) vote in Florida. I hope you all don’t hate me for the horrible mistake I made in 2008. I have much work to do to try to atone for that vote.
