Katy Tur has been hired by MSNBC to host the 2pm hour, a special segment of programming dedicated to the first “100 Days” of President Donald Trump. While interviewing Sen. Deb Fischer (D-NE) on Monday, Tur wondered aloud if Trump was going down a “dangerous path” that would lead to the executions of journalists.

Why — what is your sense of why this president is going above and beyond — bending over backwards, if you will — to stay away from criticizing the Russian president and to almost give him an excuse? As we know, there’s, since 2000, been a couple dozen suspicious deaths of journalists in Russia who came out against the government there. Donald Trump has made no secret about going after journalists and his distaste for any news that doesn’t agree with him here. Do you find that this is a dangerous path he is heading down?

Why weren’t any of these journalists concerned when Barack Obama jailed the youtube video guy? I mean that actually happened, and most barely blinked. It’s also worth noting that if Katy Tur believes Putin has been murdering journalists, that would be a story her colleagues at MSNBC should be investigating.
