You don’t get to be Alex Jones’s favorite politician unless you’re a truther, even if Paul measures his words about it in public.

Normally I don’t trust CNN but I remember hearing about the controversial content of RP’s book “Freedom Under Siege: The U.S. Constitution after 200-Plus Years” for several months so there is probably some truth to this. In a 157 page book written by Dr. Paul in 1987, said that AIDS patients were victims of their own lifestyle, questioned the rights of minorities and argued that people who are sexually harassed at work should quit their jobs. Paul was the sole writer at the time. Not that we need more evidence that Ron Paul is a racist, homophobe but here’s some anyway.

and realize that Ron Paul is not a seriuos candidate to challenge obama. I really hope any Iowans reading this will seriously consider Perry as their choice! He is the whole Conservative package! Strong Christian Values, strong JOB creating record, willing and able to take on the status quo to bring America back to Greatness! I’m just a Texan who’s had the privilege to live in a state that has benefitted from having Gov. Perry in office…helping us make it through the toughest times in my lifetime a bit better! Please vote Perry…you won’t regret it!

Ron Paul suggested the Jews were behind the 1993 World Trade Center bombings.

The New Republic reported, via RedState:

One of the more insane claims in Ron Paul’s newsletters was that the Israelis were behind the WTC bombings in 1993:

Whether [the 1993 World Trade Center bombing] was a setup by the Israeli Mossad, as a Jewish friend of mine suspects, or was truly a retaliation by the Islamic fundamentalists, matters little.

…is not only an age-old evil; it is the sign of an active spiritual connection to the ancient and sleepless authors of that sleepless evil.

I’ve been reading John Toland’s 1966 book, The Last 100 Days, about the fall of Germany. Here is a background passage on Hitler’s jump into anti-semitism during his early years in Vienna. Quoting Hitler from Mein Kampf, Toland writes:

” ‘Wherever I went, I began to see Jews,’ he [Hitler] wrote, ‘ and the more I saw, the more sharply they became distinguished in my eyes from the rest of humanity.’ At first his bigotry was personal; the mere sight of bearded orthodox Jews in their strange clothes physically repelled him. But when he read ‘The Protocols of the Elders of Zion,’ his anti-Semitism burgeoned into an obsession: he must defend the world against the Jews. This document, forged by the Imperial Russian Secret Service in 1905, alleged that the Jews secretly intended to dominate the world through a grotesque combination of capitalism and Marxism. ‘We shall everywhere arouse ferment, struggle and enmity,’ one Jewish leader purportedly announced. ‘We shall unleash a world war–we shall bring the peoples to such a pass that they will voluntarily offer us world domination.’ The young Austrian [Hitler], already a fanatic German nationalist, believed every word of the forgery. ‘In this period,’ he wrote, ‘my eyes were opened to two menaces whose names I had scarcely known before and whose terrible importance for the existence of the German people I certainly did not understand: Marxism and Jewry.’ ”

Substitute “U.S. Government” for Marxism, and you have Ron Paul in a nutshell.

Ron Paul is not just wrong; he is evil. He not only drinks in deception like the latest sports drink; he has offered himself a willing tool to the authors of that deception, to be used for some greater evil purpose than even we can see.

We can be thankful his petty bigotries make him more recognizable than other more skillfully deceptive anti-Semites like President Obama.

Voters identify all of the leading Republican presidential contenders as ideological conservatives but see Mitt Romney and Ron Paul, the leaders in polls going into today’s Iowa Caucuses, as the LEAST CONSERVATIVE of the group.

At a Monday event in Iowa, Texas Rep. Ron Paul and his son, Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, were greeted at the Steeplegate Inn in Davenport with a trademark “Occupy” mic check.

“Mic Check” said one attendee loudly, as the GOP presidential candidate made his way to the podium. In the movement’s call-and-response pattern, others shouted back, “Mic check.”

But rather than belittle the to-be speakers with lethargic policy jibes, as has been done to other GOP presidential candidates, the attendees belted out compliments.

“Thank you, Dr. Paul, thank you for opposing the indefinite detention of Americans!” they shouted.

“Thank you for opposing the Wall Street bailouts!” they added.

And before respectfully quieting down for the speakers, the chant leader shouted, “Thank you for opposing unnecessary wars!”

Prosecutors said the men were self-described anarchists who boasted weeks earlier about the damage they would do in Chicago, including one who declared, “After NATO, the city will never be the same.”

At one point, one of the suspects asked the others if they had ever seen a “cop on fire.”

Three out-of-state men arrested in a Bridgeport apartment raid days before the NATO summit considered hitting President Obama’s campaign headquarters, Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s house and police stations with “incendiary devices,” according to court documents.

The trio, who are being held on $1.5 million bond apiece, are charged with conspiracy to commit terrorism, providing material support for terrorism and possession of an explosive or incendiary device. They are the first people to ever be charged with violating the state’s anti-terror statutes, which were enacted after the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks, authorities said.

Chase lived in a tent for a time after joining Occupy and traveled with other members of the movement to Rhode Island, Washington, D.C., and Miami before arriving in Chicago last month, his uncle said.

“I’m not surprised that he’s in the protest movement because he’s been with it for awhile, but it’s a whole different aspect when you start talking about committing acts of terror using anything, and it’s really not his style,” Michael Chase said. “He’s had brushes with the law in the past and bumping heads with the police and so forth.

Chase’s Facebook page, verified by his uncle, includes a link to a news story about a May Day protest in Chicago with a photo of protesters blocking the entrance to a bank in the Loop. Chase writes on the page that he is pictured in the photo.
