Enough With Medicare!

M. Romney and his side kick, P. Ryan have to stop with the medicare campaigning.
The people who use medicare are NOT economy drivers.
WE ARE IN A DISPARATE ECONOMIC SITUATION and our “Conservative” candidates are talking
about Health Care!

What about Jobs, Oppressive Government Regulation, the Value of the Dollar, our Military and Borders, people taking their money and denouncing their citizenship from the U.S.A……….?
Wholly Cow!?

Do we really NEED to be dancing to the song being played by Obama!?
He is conducting the band, and our numskull candidates are dancing happily along, thinking that they will be selected “King and Queen” of the prom.

WE NEED to talk about the real problems of the U.S. to the REAL economy drivers, the young and the middle class worker.

Please, please, Gov. Romney, if you care at all about this country, get OFF the Medicare Merry-Go-Round!

A choice between freedom, choice, and competition vs. more debt and bureaucratic control from Washington. But ultimately we have to link it back to the economy as a whole. More jobs, less debt, smaller government means a better future.

Is that they keep talking in vague terms about reforming the program to make it solvent, instead of taking on Obama’s “privatisation” lies. That sounds so ominous, I doubt people would actually think that what Romney and Ryan are proposing is just allowing future seniors to choose from a range of affordable, high-quality coverage plans, including traditional Medicare, with financial support, and to make use of this competition among providers and insurers to hold costs down for seniors. Do people really dislike having the right to choose that much? Is it that radical an idea? Clinton’s bipartisan commission didn’t think so, neither did a Democrat from Oregon or Clinton’s Budget Director.

I doubt so. It’s hardly ending Medicare as we know it, and Team Mitt’s not getting that part of the message out, even if other important points are hammered consistently.

It’s impossible to talk about everything all the time. The momentum is in RR’s favor, on an issue that is very important to voters in key swing states.

In many ways the McCain campaign failed to draw clear contrasts with Obama. Mediscare highlights very clearly just how serious and different RR is. As much as it may not be riveting. Romney with a Whiteboard and Ryan with a Mom wins swing states.

    Isn’t that what really matters?

Every time the jobs report comes out, even if it shows modest growth and no change in unemployment, is a gain for Romney. He actually moves a little in the polls. And every time he goes off jobs, he stumbles. That whiteboard Medicare lesson should never see the light of day again. Mitt needs to be seen as a jobs guy, instead of a boardroom guy. Ryan out with his mom is much better. But I don’t want to see Republicans talking about anything but jobs one week before the convention.

  • commonsenseobserver

Being ultimately related to the economy, could lead up to a convention on the most important issue, the ultimate goal of all our other policies: JOBS.

The conversation will be reset during the convention, and Americans will be able to choose a better future with more jobs.

It seems like what the Ryan medicare plan was, and was its main strength. You can’t have competition among providers without it.
