Time for another translation from Obamese.

You know, we might stop writing about his gaffes if he stopped making them.

Today’s I’m-sorry,-what? comes to us from his speech in Israel:

A bit of surprise, that, considering that the US Senate Committee of Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs doesn’t number him among their members. I can only conclude that he decided that his bill – The Iran Sanctions Enabling Act of 2007, which he co-sponsored (along with a mere 15% of the Senate) – was enough of a prerequisite for him to get to be a member of the committee.

God knows it’s better evidence of participation than he’s managed with regard to his Foreign Relations Subcommittee chairmanship.

PS: People wishing to complain: please make sure that you first indicate whether that was Obama being a doofus, or whether it just his scriptwriters. Please use that precise word, too. You may be peeved all you like that I’m harping on this silly, easily avoided mistake, but the price is actually admitting that one was made in the first place.

    He is proving more and more each day what a blithering idiot he is. Was it not all the whiney little libs screaming about how Bush just was not articulate enough to be president? I always said, I don’t really care how well he can speak, it’s how he leads that matters.

    I don’t really care how articulate or not-so-articulate Obama is. However, if he could only open his mouth without telling a flat out lie, and/or finish a thought that we could comprehend-that would be great. How this man can lie the way he does is beyond me, however Rush just had audio of Couric cutting into him just a bit (of course the interview was hidden on line some where).

    Oh, and this is Obama being a doofus-a lying piece of crap doofus.

    But it’s not like the ANY member of the press will question him on this.

    Just yesterday MSNBC, at about 6pm, had a big red graphic stating “BREAKING NEWS: McCAIN MAKES FALSE ASSERTION ABOUT….” It was predictably done during Olbermanns segment where he pretty much called McCain a liar.

    I’m sure this will get the same coverage….or not.

    I was searching youtube for a clip of what is reported as Obama twice being asked at a press conference if he would do whatever is necessary to prevent a second holocaust and supposedly he twice punts the question.

    If Moe or anyone else has that clip, I would be very interested in seeing it and seeing just exactly what he said.

    The banking committee flub is the work of a doofus, but if he’s not going to be explicit about preventing a second holocaust, that is some real red meat.

    Rather than thinking him a liar (in this particular instance), I think it’s more fair to simply assume that he hasn’t spent enough time in the Senate doing his job to actually know that he’s not on that particular committee.

    I can’t take much more of this.

    If 72 year old McCain had stated he was on the Judiciary committee instead of the Defense Committee- this would be FRONT PAGE NEWS ACROSS THE COUNTRY

    instead, this is Obama’s fourth lie in TWO DAYS!! and the media just laughs and moves on. We have to figure out a way to stop this..

    I think I saw it over at the Contentions page- for Commentary magazine.

    they do a great job of tracking all of Obama’s lies and half truths and idiotic policy positions..
