Barack Obama’s Priority list.

Latest update.

Currently, it’s like this:

1). Visit wounded soldiers at Landstuhl. Make campaign speech at German Victory Column in Berlin*.

2). Visit wounded soldiers at Landstuhl. Take the evening off to go see Berlin.

3). Visit wounded soldiers at Landstuhl. Bask in the tepid, languid adoration of Paris.

4). Visit wounded soldiers at Landstuhl. Get his Presidential transition team going.

I could live with #1 and #4. #3 makes me grit my teeth a little at the proxy embarrassment, but schedules are schedules.

2 offends.

PS: That last sentence showed up that way as a formatting quirk, but, you know? I quite like it, so it stays.

*”1:42 p.m.: SPIEGEL ONLINE has learned that Obama has cancelled a planned short visit to the Rammstein and Landstuhl US military bases in the southwest German state of Rhineland-Palatinate. The visits were planned for Friday. “Barack Obama will not be coming to us,” a spokesperson for the US military hospital in Landstuhl announced. “I don’t know why.” Shortly before the same spokeswoman had announced a planned visit by Obama.”

We really need to work on getting all of the soldier’s votes to count. It’s terrible that they are fighting for us, wounded for us and are having a hard time casting their votes.

to vist the wounded soldiers but was called away because he was needed by the Senate Banking Commitee to save the world.

He would have us judge him by his intientions, not his actions.

    According to Breitbart

…a decision his spokesman said was made because the Democratic presidential candidate thought it would be inappropriate on a campaign-funded journey.
The spokesman, Robert Gibbs, said Thursday that Obama made his decision out of respect for the servicemen and women…

So… it’s appropriate to spend campaign money to visit people who can’t even vote for you but it’s NOT appropriate to visit those who CAN? I swear, this guy lives in an alternate universe. It reminds me of the interview Rush talked about yesterday where even Katie Couric was confused by his disapproval of the Iraq surge while at the same time admitting it worked.

The Obmamassiah continues to make a fool of himself and yet the ranks of his disciples seems to continue to grow. These are frightening times we live in.

I have to admit, I miss the old version of RedState a LOT.

he wanted to go, really he did. But, no one could find a movable tele-prompter. He couldn’t be expected to be able to talk to a wounded Soldier, Sailor, Marine or Airman off the cuff, and he’d have to move around as the wounded probably wouldn’t be able to walk to him, one by one, to bask in the glory that is the Obamessiah.

“We have longstanding Department of Defense policy in regards to political campaigns and elections,” Pentagon spokesperson Elizabeth Hibner told me (Greg Sargent). “We informed the Obama staff that he was more than welcome to visit as Senator Obama, with Senate staff. However, he could not conduct the visit with campaign staff.”

So Senator Obama’s campaign staff is more important to him than visiting wounded soldiers?

The DoD says that to me and I say, “Okay guys, hang here at the Obamaplane, this is important to me.” Instead of “My staff can’t go? Well, off to shopping then!”
