An outrageous violation of Senator Obama’s religious privacy.

No, really, it's an outrageous violation of Senator Obama's religious privacy.

Somebody actually went and dug out Obama’s written prayer note that he inserted (as per the custom) in the Wailing Wall… then had it published in a local Israeli newspaper. As per a AP report of a while back, notes placed there are not to be read by human eyes! They are prayers holding the name of God, and as per longstanding Jewish religious custom are not to be disposed of lightly. They are certainly not to be made into news.

I may have my differences with the junior Senator from Illinois, but he is owed an immediate and sincere apology for this violation of his privacy from both the man who stole his prayer and the newspaper that published it.

at least what Obama wrote on his prayer card, it appears for a moment, his prayer was actually genuine.

I am a born-again Christian, but I’ve always had this cynical attitude toward certain politicians. I’d thought that Obama might write down a little joke or something other than an actual prayer on a piece of paper inserted through a crack inside the Wall.

Nonetheless, Obama is owed an apology, his prayer and private thoughts should not be brazenly revealed to the world. So, for once, I’m on Obama’s side here.

    But I can’t help but think/ask:

How many staff people do you think helped write / had impute into this prayer?

…maybe they woulda been nicer if he didnt hate jews. Oh my bad, the church he belonged to for 20 years has no reflection on him personally. I forgot.

No one deserves that sort of invasion, no one!!!

I’m surprised that the prayer isn’t for sale on eBay.

How did Hillary slip into the Men’s section of the Wailing wall? Oy Vey

    Just curious.

If she keeps talking, he may have to disown her like he did with Pastor Wrong. She is God’s gift to the Republican Party, and, by extrapolation, the American people.

Did he sign it? Did Obama affirm it was his? If it was private only he would know it was his. I would think that someone would kind of watch over it for awhile to keep someone from taking it.

It wouldn’t bother me if someone read my prayers but I wouldn’t take or read anyones or condone it.

Is just a critical word for pattern recognition.

So I’ll note that I’m jaded, cynical, and otherwise not hopeychangey, so….

I wonder if he had his writers help him with the prayer and then get it published as a way of showing his humble sincerity. Spoken as someone who’s prayers are not nearly so politically perfect.

I don’t have respect or sympathy for the man who stage this stunt for publicity. It’s all part of the game. Anything for the love of publicity and political consumption.
