Annnnd McCain pulls out the win on *le affaire Hilton*.

You know, for an avatar of change, Barry doesn't really think well on his feet.

There’s no earthly reason why the Obama campaign couldn’t have gotten something out on the Paris Hilton rebuttal video first, after all (Bolding mine.):

John McCain’s mouthpiece has responded to Paris Hilton’s stinging retort — but he’s not attacking Hiltie!

In the unkindest cut of all, McCain’s spokesperson Tucker Bounds tells TMZ that on the subject of energy, Paris is deeper than Barack. He says, “Sounds like Paris is taking the ‘All of the Above’ energy approach that John McCain has advocated — both alternatives and drilling. Perhaps the reality is that Paris has a more substantive energy plan than Barack Obama.

God knows that Ms. Hilton has a better plan than Speaker Pelosi. For that matter, I believe that she’s actually eligible for that job – no, don’t dismiss that immediately, ye Democrats. Just how happy are you with Nancy, these days?

PS: Oh, smile, lurkers. It’s not our fault that Obama’s running a silly campaign, or that he’s got the audacity of overweening pride at this point, or even that he’s been our personal pinata for the last week or so. I mean, you had your chance to nominate somebody more… substantial.

(pause)

Well, technically, you still have it, but taking advantage of that chance would be the smart thing to do, so of course the Democrats won’t even try.

Hey, it’s not only Paris Hilton who has a more substantive energy policy than does Sen. Obama.

    Don’t forget about Red Green!!

the dairy and cattle states harness methane. Heck, that would be double-dipping. Not only would methane qualify as an “alternative fuel”, but you could power small windmills (strategically placed of course) and generate electrical power from “wind” as well.

His official response to the ad? “Whatever.”

As Dennis Miller says, “I have no problem with the color of Barack Obama’s skin, but the thinness of it is starting to get to me.”

I saw today that this concern about the Democrat options was getting lots of attention at Larry Johnson’s site.

You never know, they might be able to work in their best interests… they might.

    It’s already being done. Moo.

The Red Green method (above) makes a lot more sense….

… for keeping this going for another news cycle or two (and for fitting so well in the swim suit).

I have no idea whether Paris is for McCain or Obama, if she even cares. Regardless, her primary intent is of course to get more publicity for herself, and her video does well on that count. It’s only a side effect that it reinforces the empty suit image of Obama, but all the more effectively because it wasn’t an overt attack on Obama.
