This was apparently a little too public hateful for Senator Obama to ignore let pass, so he made a statement:

“These incendiary and personal attacks have no place in our politics, and will do nothing to help the good people of Tennessee. It’s time to turn the page on a politics driven by negativity and division so that we can come together to lift up our communities and our country,” Obama said.

…on primary day, where it won’t make a difference one way or the other. He’d like to pretend that this is a new thing, of course, despite the fact that this has been going on for a while now:

You better hope that Cohen wins anyway, Obama. Because if he doesn’t, we’ll be expecting your endorsement of the GOP candidate first thing tomorrow morning. I even have your slogan for you:

PS: As a matter of fact, I do get to weigh Barack Obama in the scales and find him wanting on this one. I’ve been pointing out the steady increase in anti-Semitism, racism, and general bigotry in this primary race for six months. Obama’s condemnation was what? Six hours ago?
