Can this birth certificate nonsense be over now?

Not that I mind Blue-on-Blue action, but it was getting old.

Jess Heng of FactCheck.org has held the stupid thing in his hands. They have taken photos of it. It says “Barack Hussein Obama II” as the name and “Honolulu” as the place of birth. The document number is 151 1961 – 010641. It is, in other words, a certified copy of a birth certificate that shows that the assumed Democratic candidate for President is eligible to run for President in this country, and that the name that he uses now is the name that he was born with.

So if the PUMAs could stop sending around those emails, that’d be just swell, thanks.

Moe Lane

PS: Allahpundit asks the question “Why didn’t Team Barry simply produce the document for the media from the start?” I’m guessing one of two answers: 1, they’re idiots; 2, they were hoping that the GOP would run with this.

OK, 3, they’re idiots for thinking that we would run with this. I like that one.

I understand that there are a bunch of questions surrounding his citizenship, too.

Q: Senator McCain, where’s your birth certificate?

    A: At home.

    Q: Which home?

    A: I don’t know. You’ll have to ask my staff. I was a P.O.W., you know.

Since facts are stubborn things, try this.

I am still curious about Obama’s fake.

Now, go away, scram and do some reading.

  • Tim_Schieferecke

They were patriotic Americans. You are not. You are a Kos-by kid lacking the ability for original thought. Senator McCain will soon be President McCain. Senator Obama…, will soon be failed presidential candidate Obama.

With all due respect to you, Moe, this conspiracy theory won’t die out, any more than the one about us never landing on the moon will.

It has to do with the psychology of some people. They enjoy–heck, they adore–the idea that they are “in the know” with “secret knowledge” about something. It gets tied in with their ego, and thus they won’t–they can’t–let go of it, because to do so would be to rip a gaping wound in their self-esteem.

It is truly sad that there are people who are so in need of a self-esteem boost that they’ll swallow this drivel without even considering it logically, but I think every one of us RedStaters knows at least one personally.

Let us pray for these poor deluded souls.

In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you…in your mom’s basement.

for showing how silly Moe’s post really was.

it’s Friday, and I feel like being nice today…I have a feeling Moe is loading up as we speak

  • PockmarklNotorious

How can you say “they’re idiots for thinking that we would run with this.” when clearly, a number of right wing blogs DID run with it. Right into the ground.

  • blooch

Get Lost, retread. Go play checkers, retread. Seriously.

  • Jeff_Emanuel

….righty blogs, who were discounting any possible truth to it?

The retread (yup, ask Moe, he banned him a few days ago. clever guy changed the number in his ID. Thinks we won’t know it’s him) is right. There are a good number of right leaning blogs that are buying into this whole Cult of the COLB (as AJ Strata puts it). Oddly though, it is the right leaning blogs that have spent the most time debunking it.

  • PockmarklNotorious

He banned me twice. And you can’t honestly believe that I think you won’t recognize my new handle. There’s 1 character different.

Anyway, this is the line I like.

There are a good number of right leaning blogs that are buying into this whole Cult of the COLB

So maybe it wasn’t so idiotic to believe that the story would get some traction on the right wing blogosphere.

    This line however…

Oddly though, it is the right leaning blogs that have spent the most time debunking it.

    …made me giggle.

  • David_Hinz

that made you giggle .. but that is another story.
