I think his delivery was spot-on. And it was just so straightforward, it was almost drawing contrasts just in its simplicity compared to Obama’s shtick. Anyway, good work I think, I am hoping that being the ‘adult’ in the race will carry some weight.

What can you say about that video. It is perfect in so many ways. He is able to show
class and portray a sort of camaraderie with Obama while still twisting the knife and snapping off the handle. I love it!
I bet the nutroots are frothin’ at the mouth over this one. You think at the end
of our convention Obama will mimic McCain?

As an Obama supporter, I thought it was very classy of Sen. McCain. Well done.

It’s classy, and the statement, “Too often the achievements of our opponents go unnoticed” is something that cuts both ways. It will stand in stark contrast to the Bush/McCain/Republican bashing of the Democrats’ convention.

Wait till Russia does something again. Run it a few times the only change, put McCain at the end instead of Reagan- if only because all the news channels will go bonkers, and spend the whole week discussing it.

They’ll probably cry about how despicable it is, but it will be run over and over, and McCain will be compared to Reagan, over and over, and the foreign policy issue will gain increasing exposure.

Even at 72, he can teach the young ones a thing or two.

This is my first post to Redstate although have been reading since the beginning. I am sure most contributors to this site would consider me to be the “Online Left” (although I think I’m pretty conservative, myself).

I am not livid. I think that this is the ad of a man who is basically decent and good. This ad is in line with what my impressions of John McCain were in the past. It has been a while since we saw this side of him.
